A novel high-precision swing-arm Voice Coil Motor (VCM) has been proposed in this paper. The research investigates the feasibility of this new structure applied to the VCM. Abiding by the equivalent rotary inertia idea, mechanical structure and magnetic field interactive design have been implemented with the electromagnetic simulation software-Ansoft's Maxwell. An iterative optimal design process is then proposed to maximize the force constant of the VCM and to minimize the inertia of the rotor. Contacting reaction forces were solved at two cases of considering vane's shape, thickness and didn't, a series of variation curves of contacting reaction forces were obtained by simulation. Through analyzing and contrasting, great differences were found at two cases, and sometimes much effect will be generated if vane's shape and thickness is ignored. This study has investigated the nature and source of such movement with the aim of providing better insight into the mechanism. The roofing tiles were set up on a pitched roof in the downstream flow from a wind tunnel. Vibration of the tiles was measured by using the Laser Doppler Vibrometry and an accelerometer, while the practical natural frequencies of the roofing tiles were analyzed by the impulse force hammer test method. Vibration and scattering motions were observed by a high-speed video camera. The result of these measurements indicates that a basic mechanism can be developed that will lead to flow-induced vibration of the roofing tiles. This system is similar to that of fluttering instability, which appears as self-excited oscillation in the structure's natural mode at a certain critical flow speed. It needs a highspeed driving to minimize crack caused by thermal shock of brittle materials. Therefore, a novel laser processing system has been investigated that is composed of a laser source and a piezoelectric-driven tilting mirror to control reflection angle of laser beam, and a stage equipped with the tilting mirror. In this study, a piezoelectric-driven tilt mirror is designed and analyzed for scanning performance that needs to make a beam spot of 30μm, a pattern width of 1mm, and scanning speed of 1m/s. The slide-valve geometric parameter (gap and fillet) was considered, the influence of it on orifice flow was obtained from flow area equivalent and flow average velocity by methods of theoretical analysis and CFD(computational fluid dynamics) numerical simulation. The accurate orifice equation was amended. The accurate valve flow equation considering gap and fillet was acquired by the analysis and calculation of the flow through four valve orifices according to the amended orifice equation. The correlative coefficient of servo valve flow was achieved by linearized analysis for valve flow equation. The curve of flow characteristics against spool displacement considering gap and fillet was achieved. Bubble eliminator is a device that removes air bubbles by using a swirling flow. The purpose of this study is to design optimal shape of the bubble eliminator. Flow and volume fraction of bubble in the bubble eliminator have been studied by numerical analysis. It is numerically evaluated to confirm effects of some parameters: diameter of outlet port, diameter of vent port, inlet flow, height of inlet port, length of inlet tube, length of tapered tube and diameter of inlet tube. Through testing, load curve of the pneumatic spring under a certain initial pressure was got. According to the test data, the relative elastic force was fitted to relative displacement by cube polynomial equation. The method of multiple scales was used to solve nonlinear dynamics equations. Nonlinear primary resonances were obtained and the effect of the parameters were studied. The results show that the frequency-response curve have much to do with the parameters. The nonlinearity becomes evidence with cube stiffness increasing. As the amplitude of the excitation increases, the frequency-response curves bend away from the linear axis. The peak amplitude decreases with damping coefficient increasing. In this paper, we proposed a new way of stepless speed control of fuel supply, in order to realize precise control of the high-pressure fuel through regulating device, controller, driver and pressure generator. For the purpose of realizing some flexible micro devices based on such interesting phenomenon, this paper mainly focuses on the research of a flexible ECF micropump. As the ECF-jet generator of the studied micropump, a type of three-dimensional (3D) electrode pair so-called triangular-prism-slit (TPS) electrode pair is applied, thanks to its great merits of combining easy fabrication by micro electromechanical system (MEMS) technology and relatively high performance. Meanwhile, in order to generate stronger ECF-jet and realize flexibility of micropump simultaneously, high aspect-ratio TPS electrode array is fabricated on a flexible polyimide (PI) substrate by MEMS technology. Micro fluid channels are embedded and well sealed using sandwich structure of polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) cover, PI substrate with electrodes, and PDMS case by package technology.
