This paper discusses the importance of pump/motor design on the driveline efficiency and operating costs of mobile machines. Reliable and precise loss models of hydrostatic units are essential for this investigation, driving requirements for special attention to efficiency measurement and modeling. Based on the failure characteristics, this paper adopts the power spectrum and empirical mode decomposition to detect two types of gear tooth failures. Defects were intentionally seeded in two separate pinions to explore feasible approach to monitor the tooth condition in a high speed gear pair. The failure mechanisms, vibration mechanism of defected tooth are presented. By adopting PLC control system based on the field bus (CAN-BUS) instead of relay control system in the new test bed, the new electric control system of drawbead test bed which makes the scope of the test bed capabilities expanded and the automation of experimental data processing improved, has been built. By means of improving from the traditional throttle loop to load sensing circuit which is consisted of the electro hydraulic proportional valve and load sensing pump, the hydraulic system has been improved to realize a flexible conversion of variety working conditions. {"title":"Using LQG-LTR control law to improve the performance of direct drive rotary positioning system subject to uncertain inertia load","authors":"Xiaodong Wang","doi":"10.1109/FPM.2011.6045898","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/FPM.2011.6045898","url":null,"abstract":"Rotary positioning system, which usually uses direct drive scheme, is often used as motion simulator, radar or satellite antenna, etc. Direct drive is that the torque motor drives the load directly without any transmission like gears, belt or ball-screw. This cancels the gap and simplifies the machine. However, in motion simulator, changing loads endues it with uncertainty. The LQG (Linear Quadratic Gaussian) control law which is widely used in aeronautics is based on a state representation to control. This sort of control law integrates a Kalman filter that estimates the state space vector of the system, and an optimized state feedback depending on one quadratic criterion. The LTR (Loop Transfer Recovery) tuning is also used and provides an excellent robustness/performance compromise. The LQG-LTR control law is proposed for a single axis motion simulator, which is a DDR rotary position servo system with uncertain inertia load, in this paper. Mathematical model is built, based on which some analyses, which focus on the uncertain load, are made. Moreover, the LQG-LTR control law is designed and analyzed. How to tune the parameters is discussed. This interference causes large surplus torque in the loading system, which affects the loading accuracy and the dynamic performance greatly. In this paper, in-depth theoretical analysis of the electro-hydraulic load simulator has been presented, the mathematical model of surplus torque has been built up, all kinds of factors which affect the surplus torque have been discussed, simulation and experiments have been made to testify the results. It can be concluded that the velocity disturbance from steering gear acting on the loading system is the key factor which brings about the surplus torque. Fuzzy control algorithm is an in-time regulating parameters algorithm, which has the ability to emulate the behavior of a human operator. Fuzzy logic control shows its priority in real-time nonlinear system control. This paper represents a detailed way of hydraulic servo system modeling. A control algorithm based on fuzzy logic control algorithm combined with PID control algorithm is established. A lot of work have been completed about the principle, theoretical, experimental modeling and applications of pneumatic artificial muscle. Researchers have found that PAMs exhibit non-linear characteristic. Base on the published literatures, non-linear characteristic related to elasticity, friction between rubber and braid and the constraint ring. The former two aspects have been mainly studied in the published papers. However, study on the influence of constrains on the end of pneumatic artificial muscle is still rare. This study establishes the PAM static characteristic experimental system, and the PAM characteristics about multiple constraints are tested. This paper analyzes the collected SEMG by time-domain method, extracted time domain characteristic value, constructed the characteristic value vector of multiple parameters before and after normalization, using the average value as the training sample, and then makes the pattern recognition to the SEMG of the forearm and hand four different actions based on BP neural network.
