The flow field under different eccentricity and rotation speed was calculated with the three-dimension method. The influence of orifice types on characteristics of aerostatic bearings was analyzed under high-speed working conditions. For the orifice-compensated type, the influence of installation types of them on their characteristics was also discussed. The results indicate when the eccentricity is big, the orifice-compensated aerostatic bearings have a bigger main gas film stiffness and a smaller cross gas film stiffness because of the dynamic effect. The gas consumption of the orifice-compensated type is smaller than that of the orifice-restricted type with the same supply hole diameter. For the orifice-compensated type, with the increase of the number of gas supply holes, the influence of installation types decrease and can be ignored within the normal design range.","PeriodicalId":241423,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of 2011 International Conference on Fluid Power and Mechatronics","volume":"81 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-10-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123669061","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is now more and more wildly used in computer and its accessories, mobile phones. With Bluetooth sensors development, this kind of communication is implied as wireless data acquisition of control systems, whether the data can be transferred correctly and timely directly influence the control performance of the system. The data reliability has been defined as the possibility of the receiver successfully receives the packet which is sent by the sender in certain conditions. Three data protection methods are defined in Bluetooth transmission (1/3FEC (Forward Error Correcting), 2/3FEC and ARQ scheme)[1]. This paper analyzed the effect of these three schemes in the two typical working method of Bluetooth, and the reliability of the data transmission is calculated.","PeriodicalId":241423,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of 2011 International Conference on Fluid Power and Mechatronics","volume":"116 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-10-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124452581","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Photo-plethysmography (PPG) is a non-invasive technique for detecting blood volume changes in peripheral arteries. Bilateral PPG signals gradually become asymmetry on the right-site or left-site transit time and pulse shape with PVOD severity and have high correlation. We utilized a FOCS detector to estimate the grades of PVOD by analyzing dynamic errors based on various butterfly patterns, including normal condition (Nor), lower-grade (LG) disease and higher-grade (HG) disease patterns. A color relation analysis (CRA) based classifier is proposed to recognize the various patterns. For 21 subjects, the proposed method showed higher accuracy in estimation of PVOD.","PeriodicalId":241423,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of 2011 International Conference on Fluid Power and Mechatronics","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-10-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124061523","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A truly mechatronic design requires use of advanced models during the design procedure combined with the formulation and the solution of an optimization problem involving a number of constraints related to performance, costs, geometry, availability of components etc. In this paper, we present a case-study of a more traditional design procedure for a highly multi-disciplinary device, which nevertheless illustrates the potentials of unifying classical engineering technologies (mechanics, electronics, control systems) with modern high-efficient inverter-fed permanent-magnet AC motors and the latest MEMS sensor technology. A full-scale fully operational prototype of a two-wheel mobile inverted pendulum has been built based on the presented design.","PeriodicalId":241423,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of 2011 International Conference on Fluid Power and Mechatronics","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-10-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131638808","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Relationship between the bearing's primary parameters such as load carrying capacity, water film stiffness and the bearing's design parameters such as eccentricity ratio, supply water pressure is illustrated. It also demonstrates that water as a lubricant is not so efficient as mineral oil. Furthermore, experimental research is made on the hydrostatically water-lubricated journal bearing under different conditions. It is found that factors like radial bearing clearance, supply water pressure, running velocity all have influence on the performance characteristics of the bearing.","PeriodicalId":241423,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of 2011 International Conference on Fluid Power and Mechatronics","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-10-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131094503","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The system uses a hydraulic pump to recover the kinetic energy of the aircraft to brake the aircraft, and is designed compact, with all-electrical interface. Therefore the hydraulic piping from the central hydraulic pump is no longer needed while retaining the hydraulic piston as actuators. As a result, the ISBS has higher safety, economy and reliability compared with conventional hydraulic braking system, while having lower heat dissipation and better performance than electric braking system. In addition, the ISBS's self-energy-supply characteristic makes the aircraft could brake as usual even in lose power emergency case. Simulations were conducted to verify the feasibility of the ISBS by Matlab/Simulink and AMEsim co-simulation method. The results show promising development possibilities for this new system.","PeriodicalId":241423,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of 2011 International Conference on Fluid Power and Mechatronics","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-10-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116027741","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
