A qualitative research design was used. Two strategies were used; interaction (exclusion strategy) and interview (inclusion strategy). The interview instrument used was ‘open-ended’. The rural schools of Kogi State made up the study’s universe. For the purpose of the study, inclusive and exclusive criteria adopted. Based on the interview, data were gathered for qualitative analysis. The data were organized on the basis of responses. The data were systematically scrutinized and are organized based on similarity in the responses of participants. Findings revealed that his leaders are inspirational and are conscious of the goals of the individual teachers. Finding further showed that teachers have positive perception about their school leaders. The study concluded that leadership of schools in the rural areas of Kogi State is deduced satisfactory, and that majority of principals in the rural schools possess the common qualities of transformational leaders. The study recommended that stakeholders of education in Kogi State including the government should boost the principals’ leadership practices towards achieving effective teaching and quality learning in the rural schools, and that principals should adopt ‘transformational leadership practice’ in the rural schools of Kogi State.","PeriodicalId":240124,"journal":{"name":"Facta Universitatis, Series: Teaching, Learning and Teacher Education","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129514099","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The aim of this piece of writing is to point to the fact that digital technologies in language classroom are therefore of paramount importance, since they enable us to overcome physical distances among cultures and stimulate the development of skills needed for every global citizen. The intention goes beyond this in a way that it shows how the enabled online intercultural communication affects the roles of language learners and teachers and move students to central position in foreign language learning. Furthermore, it underlines the need for teacher support in the development of all the necessary competences which would finally lead to promoting and fostering learner autonomy. It also observes that OIE cannot alone promote language and skill competence development, and calls for blended approach which comprises both online and offline sessions that allow for reflection crucial for foreign language acquisition.","PeriodicalId":240124,"journal":{"name":"Facta Universitatis, Series: Teaching, Learning and Teacher Education","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128508409","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The sample included 300 students of both genders (154 male and 146 female students). In order to investigate students’ moral reasoning, we used a modified version of the DIT developed by Rest. Kohlberg’s theory of moral development, which claims that there are six stages of moral development which are grouped into three levels of morality, was used as the theoretical foundation for the test. The results of the study show that there is a statistically significant difference at the postconventional level of moral judgment depending on the group of sciences: the level of postconventional moral reasoning is higher among the students of social and biomedical sciences than among the students of technical sciences. When it comes to the conventional level of moral reasoning, which is the modal level for the adult population, differences have not been observed. With regards to the individual stages of moral development, the results show that there are statistically significant differences in moral reasoning at stage 3, stage 4, stage 5A, stage 5B and stage 6. Stage 3 is more prominent among students of social and technical sciences than in students of biomedical sciences. Stage 4 and Stage 5A are higher in students of biomedical and social sciences than in technical science students. Stage 5B and stage 6 are more prevalent in biomedical sciences students than in students of the other two groups of sciences. Findings are discussed from the point of view of cognitive approach to morality and the contribution of educational and social factors to the moral development process of a person. Changes in poetry, especially in the verse space, brought about a new view of the sounds in speech and their real linguistic (communicative) function. The survey will show that there is a lot of symmetry and regularity in grammatical opposition among various poets across different epochs and nations. In that way, a composition role of grammatical categories which recur or are contrasted was confirmed. Jakobson’s phonological survey can be a theoretical framework for methodological innovation in teaching grammar which correlates with teaching literature. The ecological contents of teaching in junior primary school are directed towards the education of students and their development for the improvement of their immediate environment. In order to successfully approach the improvement in teaching lower grade students in primary school, regarding ecological contents, it is necessary first to examine and determine how many of our schools are represented. The aim and task of the research was to point out the importance of ecological contents and their representation in teaching in junior primary school. Accordingly, the paper presents a part of the research that shows what teachers think about the representation of ecological contents in the classroom. Until the First World War English literature was popularized in Serbia in magazines Srpski književni glasnik, Delo, Letopis Matice Srpske, Brankovo kolo, comprising translations, reviews, comments, and the opinions on the translation methods. Translations embodied universal values such as cooperation between cultures, similar and different mentality of people incarnated in heroes' actions, religion, accepting differences in all forms. While translating English novel for children and young people time and cultural spaces and stimulation of the development of spiritual wealth of readers were constantly in focus. In this respect, they have to make a number of strategic, operative and administrative decisions. Decisions are made regarding defining and choice of strategy for school development, defining a choice for a development policy of the school, defining and adopting a long-term and medium-term plan for school development, defining and adopting individual development plans, selecting and choosing development projects, preparing and evaluating pre-investment projects, developing and evaluation of investment programs, preparation and adoption of investment-technical documentation, final decision-making for the realization of a particular investment, and the like. Starting from the fact that effective decision-making can be slow, quick, and immediate, and that a precondition for it is a blend of knowledge, experience and training, directors as managers of their school in the future will have to increasingly use the support systems in the decision-making, especially in making important strategic decisions for the school. All school directors must understand the importance of decision-making on the basis of data recorded by those who collected the data, who looked at data, how often data is collected, how the data informs about classroom teaching practices and how the data informs about professional development. Additionally, most directors need to know that joint decision-making, through teamwork and collaboration, will contribute to the improvement of the school. The anthropometric characteristics included in the measurements were body height (Tv) and body weight (Tt), while the motor skills measured were the explosive leg power, explosive torso and shoulder power, speed, static (isometric) arm and shoulder strength, and flexibility (mobility).Body height was measured by a height meter, body weight by a weight scale, explosive leg power by a standing long jump (Sudm), explosive torso and shoulder power was measured by throwing a 2 kg medicine ball (Bm), speed was measured by a 30 m run from a high start (Tvs), static (isometric) arm and shoulder strength with pull-up endurance up to 120 seconds (Iuz) and flexibility (mobility) with standing hamstring stretch (Dpk). This research included 500 participants, fourth-grade primary school students in Vranje, both boys and girls. Statistical analysis provided us with descriptive data as well as with the differences between boys and girls in anthropometric and motor skill variables which were calculated using the t-test. The research results tell us that all the statistically significant differences are in favour of the boys. The same results that this research has provided can serve as a basis for further diagnostics efforts and planning of physical education lessons. These findings have also shown us that it is necessary to identify reliable measuring instruments for monitoring and tracking the state and changes in the anthropometric characteristics of younger school age children. Child pedestrians are disproportionately vulnerable to road traffic injuries, but it is unclear which aspects of pedestrian safety behaviors develop at what age. To create effective intervention programs, research on which pedestrian safety risks occur among which age group and urban/rural areas, is needed. For these reasons, an experiment was conducted to examine the behavior of children on traffic playground and simulated traffic situations (STS). The key results this study showed children have a higher percentage of accurate responses to the STS environment, than on traffic playground. Thereby, it is important to take those findings in account when aiming to train children for road safety. The experiment represents a basis for the creation of individualized educational interventions to help children adapt to the basic traffic safety behavior rules.","PeriodicalId":240124,"journal":{"name":"Facta Universitatis, Series: Teaching, Learning and Teacher Education","volume":"133 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-08-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122436468","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
