This technique so far was used to investigation of large biomolecules. Due to the solid state of acid matrices and resulting problems with homogeneity of sample spot and low repeatability of analysis, and high background in low m/z range the analysis of low molecular compound by MALDI-MS previously have been problematic. The breakthrough in this field occurred in 2001 after publishing a report by Armstrong at al. concerning ionic liquid matrices (ILMs) (Armstrong, Zhang, He, & Gross, 2001). ILMs are organic salts, belongs to the second generation of ionic liquids formed by the reaction of an equimolar amount of a crystalline standard MALDI matrix with an organic base. This combination allows the transfer of proton from the acid to the base giving the resulting product nature of protic ionic liquid (Greaves & Drummond, 2008). The aim of the research was verification of homogeneity of the matrix/analytical mixture on sample spot and the repeatability of the MALDI-TOF measurements. two selected standard (CHCA, HABA) and ionic liquid matrices (CHCA/TEA, HABA/a-MBA) were used. The experiment consisted of tested two methods of sample (matrix/analyte mixture) application on stain steel MALDI plate, namely dried droplet and thin layer. The examined group of low molecular weight compound were β-blockers (βB), β-agonist (βA) and tricyclic antidepressants (TCA).","PeriodicalId":236603,"journal":{"name":"Special Issue Conference Abstract Book CNS 2018","volume":"157 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-10-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121528747","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The widespread and growing medical application needs to be followed by the development of analytical techniques for detection of ketoprofen traces in various body fluids or wastewaters. Several methods have already been reported for quantitative determination of ketoprofen, including chromatography (Emhofer, Himmelsbach, Buchberger, & Klampfl, 2017; Jin, Zhang, Jin, & Lee, 2018), UV-spectrophotometric (M. Blanco, Coello, Iturriaga, Maspoch, & Alaoui-Ismaili, 1997), capillary electrophoresis (Marcelo Blanco, González, Torras, & Valverde, 2003) and fluorescence (Maciążek-Jurczyk, 2014; Molina-García, Santos, Ruiz-Medina, & LlorentMartínez, 2013). Application of all these methods is timeconsuming and require numerous sample pretreatment steps. Electrochemical methods have a number of advantages like high selectivity and sensitivity or simple design of the analytical equipment. Electrochemical studies of ketoprofen have already been performed using mercury drop (Ghoneim & Tawfik, 2003), boron-doped diamond (Domínguez, González, Palo, & SánchezMartín, 2010) or platinum electrode (Muthu, Latha, G.Bhaskar, & Yoshihara, 2010) and recently indium tin oxide (ITO)-coated optical fiber sensor (Bogdanowicz et al., 2018). They exhibit unique properties due to both ionic character and low melting point. They are characterized by nonflammability, high polarity and ionic conductivity (Markiewicz et al., 2014; Pernak et al., 2006). ILs also poses antimicrobial properties, e.g. growth inhibition, cytoand genotoxicity. However, the studies that try to characterize Ils mostly are mechanistic and do not bring the answer how ionic liquids interacts with cell composites, e.g. proteins or cell membrane. It is very important because such compounds might influence of cell structures or the cell itself. Additionally, it turned out, that the quaternary ammonium salts can modify the electrokinetic potential of Gram-negative bacterial outer membrane. Thus, the question about possibility to adapt bacterial cells arises (Borkowski et al., 2016; Pernak, Sobaszkiewicz, & Mirska, 2003).","PeriodicalId":236603,"journal":{"name":"Special Issue Conference Abstract Book CNS 2018","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-10-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115681683","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Sundew (Drosera) has been known since middle ages as a plant with a wide application in herbal and folk medicine. The infusion or tincture was used as antitussive drug and painkiller, as well as a remedy for intimate infections and gastrointestinal diseases. Today we know that the biological activity of Drosera is mainly due to the high content of flavonoids and naphthoquinones, as well as cyanogens, proteolytic enzymes, anthocyanins and organic acids. Most of these compounds are plant secondary metabolism products. Secondary metabolites are a kind of plant’s weapon, protecting against threats (bacteria, fungi, insects) and adverse environmental conditions (unsuitable soil pH, unavailability of minerals, UV radiation). The substances of plant origin are also used in various industries as flavouring additives, dyes, natural preservatives or active ingredients of medicines. It has been shown that extracts from Drosera plants, rich in naphthoquinones, may have anti-cancer (Ahmad, Banerjee, Wang, Kong, & Sarkar, 2008) and bactericidal effects, even against multiresistant bacteria (Krolicka et al., 2009).","PeriodicalId":236603,"journal":{"name":"Special Issue Conference Abstract Book CNS 2018","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-10-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131253988","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Environmentally friendly methods and solutions that allow for removal them are intensively sought and also processes enabling to their chemical reduction by acquire alternative energy sources. One of the photocatalysts that can be used in such processes is Ag3PO4. What's more, the proposed semiconductor is characterized by a narrow energy gap (2.48 eV) in contrast to TiO2 (3.2 eV), which may indicate its high photoactivity under the influence of irradiation in the visible range (Chen, Dai, & Wang, 2015; Li, Chen, Wang, & Teng, 2014; Wan et al., 2015)(Chen et al., 2015; Wan et a., 2015; Li et al., 2014). The photocatalytic excitation mechanism can also be aided by surface modification of the semiconductor with noble metal nanoparticles. Until now, information on the application of Pt nanoparticles to the surface of Ag3PO4 has not been found in the literature on the subject, therefore a new modification method has been developed in this study. At the same time, the aim of the work was to assess the impact of the amount of metal deposited on the surface of the semiconductor on its properties and photocatalytic activity.","PeriodicalId":236603,"journal":{"name":"Special Issue Conference Abstract Book CNS 2018","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-10-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130155973","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Since the appearance of the first passive dosimeter used in surface water in 1987, passive sampling devices (PSDs) have quickly become commonplace. Passive techniques have many important advantages, including simplicity of use, low cost, no need to use complicated equipment, no need to supply energy, maintenance-free and the ability to obtain reliable results (Yang et al., 2017). Due to the continuous development of passive sampling methods, currently available samplers enable detection and analysis of chemical compounds at low and very low concentrations. To estimate the time-weighted average (TWA) concentrations of analytes in water basins it is necessary to calibrate dosimeters. It includes the assessment of sampling rates (Rs) for individual compounds. It is also worth noting that Rs for passive samplers depends on the physicochemical properties of analytes (molecular mass, hydrophobicity, solubility) and environmental conditions such as water agitation, salinity, pH of the sample and the dissolved organic matter (DOM) concentration (Harman, Allan, & Vermeirssen, 2012).","PeriodicalId":236603,"journal":{"name":"Special Issue Conference Abstract Book CNS 2018","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-10-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115227607","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Shimpa and S. Sharma and it mainly concerned decisions related to the selection, purchase and use by buyers of domestic products (Shimp & Sharma, 1987). This behavior was described as the \"overestimation\" of products of native origin, a reduction in the value of imported products and the abandonment of their purchase. This behavior is also identified with the preference for both domestic products as well as regional and local products (Sharma, Shimp, 1987, p. 280-289). The problems of ethnocentric behavior in Poland were only interested after the fall of communism in 1898, when consumers, as a result of marketization of the economy, gained the freedom to choose products and services according to their individual preferences (Kowalczyk, 2016). Research in this period showed that the ethnocentric attitude among Polish buyers was low. Consumers then preferred foreign products, which was a consequence of a lack of confidence in goods produced in the country, which were perceived as weaker in quality compared to imported products. Over time, the ethnocentric orientation grew stronger, especially in the context of agri-food goods (Figiel, 2004). The aim of the article is to assess the level of ethnocentric shopping behavior in the context of buying food products among Polish consumers (Angowski & Lipowski, 2014; Szromnik & Wolanin-Jarosz, 2014).","PeriodicalId":236603,"journal":{"name":"Special Issue Conference Abstract Book CNS 2018","volume":"63 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-10-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126321691","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
