Among the aforementioned, potential sources covering the outlays on innovation processes, the enterprises’ own funds are of particular importance, as they not only constitute the basis for self-funding of this activity, but also determine the access to many external sources providing funding (e.g. bank loans, aid funds and other funding sources). The purpose of this article is to assess the diversity of Polish 16 regions in terms of the funding level of innovative processes carried out by enterprises from their own funds. The research also covers changes occurring in this respect in the years 2008-2017.","PeriodicalId":235267,"journal":{"name":"International Days of Statistics and Economics 2019","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124439947","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Attention is given to one of the key categories of the population, which has the greatest impact on the sustainability of the region youth. Young people represent the basis of the able-bodied population and act as the resource resource potential of the territory. This dependence is shown on the example of the Omsk region, which, due to the prevailing negative migration trends, is gradually becoming a region of retirement. The article presents some data on the statistical recording of migration processes and individual results of a study of the migration situation in the youth environment, conducted in 2017 in the Omsk Region on the basis of a grant from the Russian State Scientific Foundation. Research materials allow us to disclose the reasons for the unfavorable migration trends that are concentrated in the current conditions of life and the possibility of good employment, and also reflect the solution of problems through the eyes of respondents.","PeriodicalId":235267,"journal":{"name":"International Days of Statistics and Economics 2019","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126558237","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In our contribution, we are discussing innovation as a public good and the need for public support of innovation. We summarize the views of economic theory on the need to support innovation (based on theories of market failures, institutional failures and system failures). We evaluate strategies for supporting innovation activities of enterprises from state and regions and their instruments. In analytical part we present the results of the survey on innovating activities of Slovak enterprises and on conditions for their implementation. Finally, we will try to suggest possible ways to improve the current state and forms of public support of enterprise innovating activities.","PeriodicalId":235267,"journal":{"name":"International Days of Statistics and Economics 2019","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134082557","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the article, the authors assess the relationship between the level of the green economy and traditional socio-economic indicators in the European Union based on the green economy index and methods of multidimensional statistical analysis. It is tested how such components of the green economy as the effective use of natural resources; preservation and increase of natural capital; pollution reduction; low carbon emissions; contribute to the growth of the welfare of the population. A priority feature of the green economy's growth is a radical increase in energy efficiency. It was considered that the implementation of a new green rate implies minimization of the use of non-renewable minerals for the production of electricity through investments in renewable energy sources, and the need of energy savings.","PeriodicalId":235267,"journal":{"name":"International Days of Statistics and Economics 2019","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128262541","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Our research was based on the survey results of business coaches and managers who took advanced training in educational centres of the Urals (Russia). The study found that managers' perception of business coach professional tasks is largely utilitarian and practical – “profound expertise of a problem”, “assistance in handling specific business tasks”. Business coaches perceive their tasks in a broader context – “transform mind for success”, “motivate for development”, “inspire positive changes”. Requirements for business coach activity include a set of subjectrelated, methodological, practical and communicative competences. The most important competencies are “profound knowledge of the topic, problem, business area”; “skills of a moderator, facilitator, and an ability to 'shake up' the audience”; “successful management experience”; “ability to hear the audience and promptly adjust the plan and content of training to specific requests of the clients”. Managers assess the significance of such competencies higher than business coaches themselves. Revealed differences in assessments indicate a disparity between managers' expectations and business coaches’ vision of their primary objectives. Coordination of participants' views will promote to improve the quality of training and development (T&D) programs and maximize their practical benefits for customers.","PeriodicalId":235267,"journal":{"name":"International Days of Statistics and Economics 2019","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133471440","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
