However, it is not clear whether the relationship is purely linear, or it contains nonlinear components. Moreover, to the best of our knowledge, no study evaluated the relationship in the Czech Republic. In this paper, we investigate the relationship between fluctuation of employment and labour productivity among 13,546 Czech companies. Using the financial data from the period 2013-2017 extracted from the Bureau van Dijk’s Amadeus database and linear regression analysis, we find a significant inverse U-shaped relationship between firm-level employment volatility and labour productivity. This finding partly contradicts previous studies and suggest that job insecurity and labour productivity are first positively related and then negatively related. Possible reasons and implications are discussed.","PeriodicalId":235267,"journal":{"name":"International Days of Statistics and Economics 2019","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127653923","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is the result of medical progress and the improvement of the quality of life. At the same time, there are large disparities in the mortality rates of the population in relation to women and men, as well as age. The causes of the mortality are the emergence of new diseases of the modern civilization, as well as the change of lifestyle and nutrition influenced by modern technologies and products. This paper is an interdisciplinary article and contains both strictly demographic and medical information. The paper presents selected aspects of the demographic situation in Poland and Germany. An important element of the research was to show the causes of mortality, i.e. diseases of the modern civilization and the possibilities of their prevention. The research results show that while the general life expectancy of the population in both Germany and Poland is extended, the mortality rate is particularly alarming in the younger age groups due to the incidence of modern civilization diseases such as type 2 diabetes mellitus, metabolic syndrome, hypertension and cardiovascular diseases.","PeriodicalId":235267,"journal":{"name":"International Days of Statistics and Economics 2019","volume":"350 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124315099","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Nevertheless, IT technologies can solve the problem of communication between remote territories through the creation of Internet communications. This article focuses on the development of Internet communication between the executive authorities of a Russian region and the population. It initially demonstrates the results of the secondary analysis of statistical data on the number of hits of the population to the relevant ministries of the region, submitted through the active function on the websites of the executive bodies. The method of questionnaire survey of the region population using quota sampling depending on the gender and age of respondents is used. This method made it possible determine the degree of awareness of the region’s residents about the availability and the level of demand of Internet communication with authorities. This study can be useful to researchers of communication between society and the power of any country because Internet communication is a global trend at all levels of development of modern society.","PeriodicalId":235267,"journal":{"name":"International Days of Statistics and Economics 2019","volume":"78 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124386995","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Among the aforementioned, potential sources covering the outlays on innovation processes, the enterprises’ own funds are of particular importance, as they not only constitute the basis for self-funding of this activity, but also determine the access to many external sources providing funding (e.g. bank loans, aid funds and other funding sources). The purpose of this article is to assess the diversity of Polish 16 regions in terms of the funding level of innovative processes carried out by enterprises from their own funds. The research also covers changes occurring in this respect in the years 2008-2017.","PeriodicalId":235267,"journal":{"name":"International Days of Statistics and Economics 2019","volume":"72 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124439947","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Attention is given to one of the key categories of the population, which has the greatest impact on the sustainability of the region youth. Young people represent the basis of the able-bodied population and act as the resource resource potential of the territory. This dependence is shown on the example of the Omsk region, which, due to the prevailing negative migration trends, is gradually becoming a region of retirement. The article presents some data on the statistical recording of migration processes and individual results of a study of the migration situation in the youth environment, conducted in 2017 in the Omsk Region on the basis of a grant from the Russian State Scientific Foundation. Research materials allow us to disclose the reasons for the unfavorable migration trends that are concentrated in the current conditions of life and the possibility of good employment, and also reflect the solution of problems through the eyes of respondents.","PeriodicalId":235267,"journal":{"name":"International Days of Statistics and Economics 2019","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126558237","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
