Here, the coefficients of both the feed-forward filter (FFF) and the feedback filter (FBF) are adaptively updated using set-membership affine projection algorithm. It's performance is analyzed through simulations using ITU-R recommended wireless channel models. It is shown that, this scheme offers substantial computational savings while keeping the bit error rate (BER) and convergence performance almost similar to channel equalization with the data reusing affine projection algorithms. It is also demonstrated that, this channel equalization method yields faster convergence and better BER than the existing set-membership normalized least mean square (NLMS) algorithm based scheme.","PeriodicalId":234609,"journal":{"name":"2016 11th International Conference on Industrial and Information Systems (ICIIS)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128553557","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper analyzes the performance of a single ended SRAM cell for low power operation. As per the state of the art the single ended SRAM cell should operate at lowest power supply as possible so the presented design uses a single bit line for the read as well as writes operation of the cell which reduces the power requirements for the proper operation of the cell. This type of operation also improves the read stability and writes ability of the cell which overall improves the stability of the cell which is a critical factor for the SRAM cell designing. The proposed design has the enhanced transistor models for efficient operation. The main objective of this work is to operate the SRAM cell with proper stability and with low voltage. The standard 90nm processes technology is used in the modeling of transistors. The simulation result shows the low power operation of the cell with improved stability. The average transition power is obtained as 1.1μw with the power supply of 1.6v which shows the low power operation of the cell. Thus this work evaluates the performance of the single ended SRAM cell for low power operation with low voltage operation.","PeriodicalId":234609,"journal":{"name":"2016 11th International Conference on Industrial and Information Systems (ICIIS)","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116544261","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper presents an experimental study aimed at developing an automatic image classification system for medical images by classifying Region of Interest (ROI) using the proposed framework. It is a challenge to identify abnormalities and quantify cervical tumor grading using just the shape, size and gray-level information of a patient's cervix. Multiresolution wavelet analysis of images by using wavelet transform is the heart of our proposed framework. In this review paper, we present a system to discriminate abnormality on the basis of procedure using image acquisition, preprocessing, segmentation, feature extraction, classification from normal patients based on their MRI scans obtained by TCIA. The tests are performed by using wavelet transforms of the images and results compared and analyzed.","PeriodicalId":234609,"journal":{"name":"2016 11th International Conference on Industrial and Information Systems (ICIIS)","volume":"332 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115977392","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

High isolation is achieved with the help of two different ports. The MIMO antenna consists of a cylindrical dielectric resonator antenna which is fed by two differently polarized feed lines for orthogonal mode excitation. The impedance bandwidth for port 1 and port 2 is 12.8 %(3.17–3.6 GHz) and 14.09 % (3.1–3.57 GHz) respectively. The isolation between the two ports is better than −27dB in the operating frequency band. The presented antenna is examined by calculating various MIMO performance parameter such as envelope correlation coefficient (ECC), diversity gain (DG), mean effective gain (MEG) by using S-parameter. The proposed antenna is suitable for WiMax applications.","PeriodicalId":234609,"journal":{"name":"2016 11th International Conference on Industrial and Information Systems (ICIIS)","volume":"1989 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130684358","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

They thus witness a large amount of improvement and research. Gradient Boosted Machines (GBM) was one approach, which was known to give accurate solutions, and used ensemble trees to build upon weak learners for classifying the data. Over time the need for a more scalable, modifiable, and accurate system was felt, and building upon GBMs an improved variant called eXtreme GBM (XGBoost) was proposed. XGBoost gave highly accurate results in many international competitions and presented itself as an ideal learning model ready to be adapted for wide usage. Our objective was to experimentally verify the value and veracity of this new approach, and towards this, we analyzed and compared it with traditional and benchmark algorithms, on a variety of datasets. XGBoost outperformed its counterparts, attesting to the fact that it indeed holds promise.","PeriodicalId":234609,"journal":{"name":"2016 11th International Conference on Industrial and Information Systems (ICIIS)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130482951","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Flutter is a function of plunge and pitch motion, resulting in a two degree of freedom motion. If the dynamic stability is not achieved, it can lead to limit cycle oscillations which may further lead to structural failure. In this work, a quasi steady aerodynamic model is used and a robust controller based on Uncertainty and Disturbance Estimation (UDE) and Sliding Mode Control (SMC) is proposed for active flutter suppression. In UDE based Sliding Mode Controller design, flutter suppression is achieved by estimation and compensation of the effect of lumped uncertainties in the system. UDE design with first order filter is implemented and results are presented with a parametric uncertainty of 20 % in the system. It is shown that the proposed strategy has enhanced the performance of the closed loop system by 38 % beyond the critical flutter speed. Limitations of SMC scheme in terms of chattering phenomena and a priori knowledge of boundedness of disturbance are also mitigated in the proposed robust controller design.","PeriodicalId":234609,"journal":{"name":"2016 11th International Conference on Industrial and Information Systems (ICIIS)","volume":"26 S70","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132228194","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The required direction of receiving signal is maintained by directing the major lobe. The ability of an adaptive antenna array to direct the beam is achieved by implementing a beamforming algorithm by varying the phase of the element in linear antenna array. A complete implementation of ABF using Particle Swarm Optimization technique has been proposed by building code using MATLAB software. Linear adaptive antenna array performance is calculated by simulating the beam steering ability and nullifying capability for different situation assuming the different direction of user and interferer signals.","PeriodicalId":234609,"journal":{"name":"2016 11th International Conference on Industrial and Information Systems (ICIIS)","volume":"63 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134102680","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper presents a full reference based video quality evaluation technique, using the application of watermarking. Frames with low complexity value are selected for the insertion of the watermark, on the selected video frames; DWT is applied up to third level to get the DWT coefficients. Then SPIHT encoding/decoding is applied which helps in finding the significant coefficients for the insertion of watermark. The significant coefficients are converted into bit-planes and 3rd bit plane (from LSB side) of each coefficient is selected for watermark. The SPIHT algorithm ensures that the watermark bits are inserted uniformly throughout the frames. After embedding the watermark, the IDWT is applied and we get the watermarked frames which are then incorporated in the video file. The simulation results show no visible difference between watermarked frame and original frame. The video quality is estimated in terms of peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR), structure similarity (SSIM) and true detection rates (TDR) against various attacks like Salt pepper noise, rotation Gaussian noise and compression attacks. The results indicate that the proposed technique for quality evaluation of the video, accurately calculates the quality of a video and also it is robust against various attacks.","PeriodicalId":234609,"journal":{"name":"2016 11th International Conference on Industrial and Information Systems (ICIIS)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133258174","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
