These SSRR is directly etched in the ground plane without affecting its radiating patch. For the design purpose, FR-4 substrate is used with the epsilon value of 4.3 and thickness of 1.6 mm. With this, Bow-Tie antenna is scheduled to cover three resonating bands i.e. S-Band, C-Band and X-Band respectively. In order to justify parametric optimization, genetic algorithm is implemented out, which aimed to enhance its functionalities to the next level. Moreover ultimate result is to cite for the muti-band performances. MMIC Analysis in terms of L-C matching is carried with the help of combinations of distributed lumped elements. Not only it has strengthened the functioning of prototypes with achievement of better coverage of applications and improved gains as for a wireless communication domain.","PeriodicalId":234609,"journal":{"name":"2016 11th International Conference on Industrial and Information Systems (ICIIS)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123172425","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This offers a big challenge for the web service based systems to make the optimal selection of the desired web service. In this work, we have used a two layer architecture for web service selection, prefiltering followed by selection. The use of K-Means clustering technique for grouping the web services with similar Quality of Service (QoS) under a common umbrella is explored. This act as prefiltering step for candidate web services to filter out unrelated web services. From the set of filtered web services, a non-dominated set of web services is obtained using skyline technique. The first step ensures to include only those web services, which are related based on QoS information. The second step operates on the reduced problem set and identifies the best web service among the group. The real world web service dataset is used to test the approach and an improvement in the web service selection is observed.","PeriodicalId":234609,"journal":{"name":"2016 11th International Conference on Industrial and Information Systems (ICIIS)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123788234","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, processing large number of small files seems inefficient, since Hadoop supports only block level operations. But small file processing is inevitable for real time processing, log processing etc. Hence, to rectify this performance bottleneck, we propose a Balanced MultiFileInput Split (BaMS) technique where files are merged together and stored. Data is converted to bytes and collectively stored in ArrayWritable format. To avoid the need for separate indexing, we follow a hierarchical file naming & storing scheme. The method describes how to access the merged files through Map Reduce Programs. Analysis performed on BaMS proves that it is much efficient compared to the existing methods like HAR and sequence files in terms of storage and access efficiency.","PeriodicalId":234609,"journal":{"name":"2016 11th International Conference on Industrial and Information Systems (ICIIS)","volume":"159 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122861476","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The passive Direct Ethanol Fuel Cell (DEFCs) has good potential to fulfill the power requirements of portable applications compared to methanol. However passive DEFCs are far away from acceptable power outputs due to their slow ethanol oxidation reaction and ethanol and water crossover. In this study a passive DEFC was design and fabricated. The 115 Nafion membrane with active area of 25cm2 was used to identify the optimal working condition for ethanol feed concentration and cell orientations. It was found that 4M ethanol feed concentration gives optimal cell performance. It is observed that open circuit voltage (OCV) was independent of the cell orientation but it is affected by the ethanol feed concentration. The cell performance is also tested on cell orientation. Horizontal orientation yielded better performance compared to vertical orientation.","PeriodicalId":234609,"journal":{"name":"2016 11th International Conference on Industrial and Information Systems (ICIIS)","volume":"98 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114507527","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A MMW imaging radar has been designed at 60 GHz. Ceramic tiles were used and covered with the cardboard for concealed targets formation. A variety of experiments with different random crack tile and non-cracked full tile configurations were made. Wavelet feature based SVM classifier has been proposed for non-destructive quality inspection. Optimum SVM classifier has been modeled using gaussian kernel function along with fine tuning of kernel parameters and error constraints. On an independent test data set, appreciably low false alarm for cracked tiles and no false alarm for non-crack tiles has been successfully attained which validates the proposed model. Thereby, a robust wavelet feature based SVM classifier model has been developed for non-destructive quality estimation for industrial applications.","PeriodicalId":234609,"journal":{"name":"2016 11th International Conference on Industrial and Information Systems (ICIIS)","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129793237","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In smart home environments, there are various low capacity devices (microcontrollers and sensors) connected through wireless networks. The smart devices (SDs) in the network must communicate with adequate security. Due to resource constraints like low processing power and low space, there is a lack of standard security mechanism which can provide adequate security. This research work introduces a novel key establishment mechanism for smart home systems. Proposed mechanism provides solution against various security attacks like replay, masquerade, denial of service, eavesdropping etc. We demonstrate the feasibility of proposed mechanism using proof of concept and evaluate results for showing the efficiency and effectiveness of the proposed mechanism.","PeriodicalId":234609,"journal":{"name":"2016 11th International Conference on Industrial and Information Systems (ICIIS)","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129944189","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, there is urgent need of such surveillance systems that are able to send a cell/message/alarm for help, in the case of some incident happens where a person slips and falls and is unable to call for help i.e. he/she loses consciousness. The proposed fall detection system is based on a change in human shape in daily activities. In the proposed approach, features are extracted from the human silhouette and a fall is detected by analyzing the change in its shape. The proposed approach also handles the problem of partial occlusion during the fall detection. The approach shows satisfactory results as compared to the sate-of-art method.","PeriodicalId":234609,"journal":{"name":"2016 11th International Conference on Industrial and Information Systems (ICIIS)","volume":"67 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121391814","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to reduce RCS, dielectric coatings are applied over these structures. However, the electromagnetic (EM) characteristics of dielectrics are limited and difficult to manipulate. Contrary to this, electromagnetic (EM) properties of metamaterials can be tailored more flexibly. This necessitates exploring the material properties of metamaterials towards low observability. In this paper, the parametric analysis of perfect electrical conducting (PEC) cylinder with epsilon-negative (ENG) and mu-negative (MNG) type metamaterial coating for both TE and TM polarizations is carried out. It is shown that RCS reduction with ENG and MNG coatings is mainly due to suppression of axial components of electric and magnetic fields.","PeriodicalId":234609,"journal":{"name":"2016 11th International Conference on Industrial and Information Systems (ICIIS)","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114199267","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore energy depletion rate is very high at near by sink nodes that leads to creation of energy holes. Consequently, the life time of wireless sensor network is affected(depreciated). In this work, a flag bit based co-operative transmission mechanism is proposed to avoid the energy hole problem using circular corona based network. In co-operative transmission, each node is helped by its previous corona node to forward data to the next node. Firstly, sensor nodes are distributed non-uniformly in the network area. After that, We investigate the nodes with higher energy depletion rate. By using flag bit we take advantage of cooperative communication based transmission strategy to avoid energy hole problem. Finally, proposed methodology reduces the uneven energy extravagance at near by sink nodes and magnify the network life time. Simulation results show that our action plan avoid the energy holes by reducing the energy consumption and maximize the stability of sensor network.","PeriodicalId":234609,"journal":{"name":"2016 11th International Conference on Industrial and Information Systems (ICIIS)","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114720017","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
