This smallholder has contributed to produce Crude Palm Oil (CPO) about more than 40 percent in the supply chain. This study is aimed to identify downstream and upstream in the line of CPO palm oil. Secondly, is to know the role of the actors in the CPO supply chain and its traceability. This study employed the traceability method of networking of CPO supply chain in Southeast Sulawesi. Indonesia. Two research sites were conducted as the implementation of survey, observation, interviews and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The respondents have chosen from the downstream to upstream of the CPO supply chain. Independent farmers, middlemen, delivery order, and Fruit Fresh Bunches (FFB) mills to produce CPO have been interviewed as the key informant of this research. Traceability study shows that the main source of FFB came from the core of PT. Damai Jaya Lestari both in the research site, plasma, and independent farmer. In North Konawe, the downstream line that farmers sell the FFB to the middlemen then they bring to the agency who has the delivery order from the CPO mills. Meanwhile, in Kolaka District, Independent farmers sold the FFB to the agency who has the contract with the PT. Damai Jaya Lestari in Plasma Village, Poliggona Sub District. In terms of the green economy, waste such empty bunches were limited access for farmers who wanted to proceed with the waste for organic fertilizer and feeding cows. The role and the traceability study show that independent farmers have no access to utilize the waste of empty bunches, no protection from the Damai Jaya Lestari as the CPO mills, and have no institutional farmers as the farmers group.","PeriodicalId":23429,"journal":{"name":"Uncertain Supply Chain Management","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70914070","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research examines their direct effects on sustainable and environmental responsibility in Jordan, as well as the moderating influence of socioeconomic factors. It also investigates the mediating effect of sustainable practices adoption. Quantitative analysis using Smart PLS4 software was conducted. The results highlight the positive influence of taxation strategies on sustainable and environmental responsibility. Effective taxation strategies contribute to a stronger commitment to sustainable practices and environmental concerns within supply chains. Similarly, customs strategies positively influence sustainable and environmental responsibility, demonstrating that efficient customs management aligns with sustainable practices. In addition, socioeconomic factors were identified as significant moderators. The relationship between taxation strategies and sustainable responsibility, as well as environmental responsibility, varied based on the socioeconomic context. This suggests that the effectiveness of these strategies depends on the specific circumstances in which organizations operate. Furthermore, sustainable practices adoption was found to moderate the relationship between taxation and environmental strategies, and sustainable responsibility. This indicates that the successful implementation of sustainable practices enhances the impact of taxation and environmental strategies in promoting sustainability within the supply chain. This paper emphasizes the importance of developing and implementing effective taxation and customs policies that align with sustainable practices. Organizations should consider the influence of socioeconomic factors and prioritize the sustainable practices adoption to maximize the impact of these strategies. The findings provide valuable insights for strategic decision-making and encourage businesses to integrate sustainability into their supply chain management, contributing to environmental conservation and long-term success.","PeriodicalId":23429,"journal":{"name":"Uncertain Supply Chain Management","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70914587","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study involved 500 individuals aged 20-59 who had purchased and used Thai cosmetic products within the past year. A multistage sampling method was employed to select the participants. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires, and both descriptive and multivariate statistical analyses were conducted, explicitly utilizing Second-order Confirmatory Factor Analysis and Structural Equation Modeling. The research results showed four factors influencing the purchasing decisions of Thai brand cosmetic products: Brand Equity, Buying Behavior, Consumer Satisfaction, and Perceived Value. The Second-order Confirmatory Factor Analysis and Structural Equation Model demonstrated that these factors met the assessment criteria when applied to the empirical data. Consequently, if a brand can establish brand equity that surpasses its competitors in the eyes of consumers, it will contribute to long-term profitability and sustained growth.","PeriodicalId":23429,"journal":{"name":"Uncertain Supply Chain Management","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70914740","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study also hypothesized that whenever the confidence in the current accounting information system is high, the level of the decision to grant credit is high, and vice versa. To test this assumption, the study used partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM). This method is usually preferred when the goal of the research is to develop theory and explain variance or predict structures. The survey design approach was adopted in the commercial banks in Jordan, where 225 valid questionnaires were retrieved for statistical analysis. The results demonstrate a direct and significant effect on GCD in commercial banks. Moreover, the results of this paper show that cloud computing (CC) mediates the relationship between the independent variable (Accounting Information System Trust (AIS-Trust) with the dependent variable (Grant Credit Decision (GCD)).","PeriodicalId":23429,"journal":{"name":"Uncertain Supply Chain Management","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70914949","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, there has been little research conducted on the effects of these capabilities on supply chain sustainability, particularly in emerging economies. To address this gap, this article attempted to investigate the impact of big data analytics capabilities on the supply chain sustainability of Jordan's hospitality industry using quantitative data derived from 512 managers in senior and middle levels of hotels listed in Jordan Hotels Association (JHA). Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) was conducted for hypothesis evaluation. The research findings proved that the dimensions of big data analytics capabilities, which were infrastructure flexibility, management capabilities, and personnel capabilities, had a significant positive role in enhancing supply chain sustainability. Therefore, the research provided a series of recommendations for managers in these hotels, the most important of which was allocating significant investments in modern data-collecting technologies to record key changes across the supply chain, including manufacturing, transportation, and distribution.","PeriodicalId":23429,"journal":{"name":"Uncertain Supply Chain Management","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70917589","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study uses a quantitative research technique with convenient cluster sampling through applying a descriptive, causal and analytical research design. A valid sample size of 270 respondents is used for analysis by linear regression and hypothesis testing using SPSS. The results indicate a direct significant relationship between process quality improvement and a direct significant relationship between lean practices and competitive performance. Given the substantial resources spent and efforts to improve healthcare quality, the absence of studies demonstrating the impact of quality-related operations and activities would require future research. Hospitals in one city in UAE have access that limits the research results. It is recommended that future research assess more variables dependency on the healthcare sector that can affect increase competitiveness. The research provides some managerial implications that could help hospital managerial members improve their healthcare delivery system's leanness and quality improvement to get competitiveness. Quality improvement and lean practices help increase competitive performance and can assist the healthcare sector in providing better service using these practices that have never been considered in research.","PeriodicalId":23429,"journal":{"name":"Uncertain Supply Chain Management","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70902074","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The halal status of food must be traced from the process of raw materials, processing, packaging, transportation, and distribution to the final consumer. It is difficult to trace the certainty of halal food, especially beef in Medan City because the supply chain information from upstream to downstream is not transparent. To increase the transparency of beef status and increase consumer confidence, especially Muslim consumers, a distributed and transparent system is needed, where many parties can access the status of food at any time. So Blockchain technology is used to help track the halal status of beef along the supply chain. The purpose of this study is to design a system to obtain information certainty that beef distributed along the supply chain is halal and safe for consumption by utilizing Blockchain technology and to increase public safety and trust in the LPPOM MUI halal certification system. Based on the discussion and research analysis, it is known that the information in the halal beef supply chain in Medan City uses blockchain technology designed with a data security system using smart contracts, where information that has been stored cannot be changed by any party. so that there is a guarantee of information security in the beef supply chain in the city of Medan. This research is expected to support transparency, security, and certainty of information about halal beef in Medan City.","PeriodicalId":23429,"journal":{"name":"Uncertain Supply Chain Management","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70902981","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This sector is based on a robust infrastructure and is subject to the supervision of the Central Bank, which guarantees the likes of banks operating to financial reporting standards in order to maintain good financial soundness indicators. Therefore, this study aimed to examine the impact of strategic agility on the financial performance of commercial banks in Jordan. The study population was represented by senior managers. The purposeful sampling method was used to collect primary data from (188) respondents who constituted (81.74%) of the sent questionnaires. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was applied to test the study's hypotheses. The results showed that strategic agility had a positive impact on financial performance, as the greatest impact was strategic sensitivity, followed by resource fluidity, and finally leadership unity. This study contributed to the development of a logical framework supported by empirical evidence about the possibility of developing financial performance in dynamic environments. Hence, senior managers recommended focusing on making rational decisions derived from studying the reality of the work environment and adjusting organizational structures to become more flexible in response to the volatile business environment.","PeriodicalId":23429,"journal":{"name":"Uncertain Supply Chain Management","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70903284","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
