Materials and methods: An experimental study was conducted of 20 pharmaceutical water samples, collected from reputed pharmaceutical companies located in Peshawar, Pakistan. To enumerate the overall microbial load and particular pathogens from the obtained water samples traditional culture and biochemical approaches were used. Results: A total aerobic viable bacterial load of all samples were found below the acceptable limit (200 CFU/mL) while, Pseudomonas species were found (n=03), and Escherichia coli was found (n=01). No evidence of Staphylococcus aureus and Salmonella species were found in any of the samples. Conclusion The current study provides a comprehensive bacteriological profile of pharmaceutical water and demonstrates that the presence of particular bacteria might cause significant toxicity and hazard in final pharmaceutical products.","PeriodicalId":23420,"journal":{"name":"Ukrainian Journal of Dermatology, Venerology, Cosmetology","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"79761458","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this case the metastatic melanoma was preceded by a primary cutaneous melanoma in a similar anatomical region. Histologically the tumour was characterised by a malignant-appearing Spindle cell proliferation, arranged in fascicules. There was no evidence of connection to a nerve, co-existent neurofibroma or stigmata of neurofibromatosis. This presentation is only infrequently mentioned in the literature and heterogeneity can make clinical and histological diagnosis of metastatic melanoma problematic. It can easily be misinterpreted without effective clinico-histological correlation, making a good working relationship between Clinician and Histopathologist essential for correct diagnosis.","PeriodicalId":23420,"journal":{"name":"Ukrainian Journal of Dermatology, Venerology, Cosmetology","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86330418","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We are inspired by a young woman, who suffers from a rare genetic disorder called pseudoxanthoma elasticum (PXE), which manifests irregular, thickened, fragmented and haphazardly orientated elastic fibers. We herein present a combination of three different therapies (laser skin resurfacing, type I horse collagen boosters and platelet rich plasma)as an approach to ameliorate neck skin sagging. Methods: A 28-year-old Roma woman with a clinically diagnosed PXE, verified by ophthalmologic evidence and skin biopsy, underwent 3 sessions of this combined protocol every 3 weeks. One month after the last treatment session, a new biopsy was taken. During this period, the patient was encouraged for daily topical application of collagen mousse and vitamin C combined with sun block SPF50, along with limited exposure to sunlight. Results: Clinical assessment supported by photographic documentation was performed at each session. Severe changes in hydration and tightening of the neck skin were obvious 3 weeks after the second session, although the verification of the results was substantiated with the pathology of the post treatment skin biopsy obtained 1 month following the completion of the protocol. The elastic fibers in the mid-dermis were dense, non-fragmented and parallel oriented. The aesthetic performance was evident until the final follow-up visit. Conclusions: Nowadays, the primary goal of aesthetic medical research is oriented to the dermis bio-reconstruction, where specific treatments try to improve the dermis quality from the inside to repair imperfections of skin ageing. The key of success is attributed to the best possible treatment combination capable of fibroblast stimulation.","PeriodicalId":23420,"journal":{"name":"Ukrainian Journal of Dermatology, Venerology, Cosmetology","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84236356","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Histopathology gives the definitive diagnosis. The DF is generally larger than the classic DF, has an erythematous-brown or violet color, and can be painful if the lesion grows rapidly. With dermoscopy, we can identify any of the patterns already known to classical DF, but what will suggest that it is an aneurysmatic DF are the linear white structures, vascular structures and delicate pigmented network on the periphery.","PeriodicalId":23420,"journal":{"name":"Ukrainian Journal of Dermatology, Venerology, Cosmetology","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"82267875","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It can have profound psychological effects and can leave the patient with severe skin scarring. There are four well-recognized pathological factors responsible for acne which is also the target for acne therapy. In this case review, different treatment options are outlined, including topical and systemic treatments. A safer treatment option other than the use of antibiotics or oral retinoids, the use of complementary and alternative medicines (CAM) for treating acne was discussed as well as the affect of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Acne has been extensively researched with regards to the disease mechanism as well as treatment options. However, due to the increasing resistance of acne prone bacteria towards the available antibiotics, there is a need for new treatment methods. Systemic medication also influences the liver and therefore our hypothesis was to investigate a preventative, safer, and risk-free approach. Additionally, the lack of sufficient evidence on the efficacy of CAM therapies makes it necessary for researchers to investigate these treatment options further. Biomedical Emporium comprise of respective and well-known ingredients frequently used within the medical aesthetic industry to address the concerns of acne. We have investigated a wide array of ingredients used in patient treatment protocols and the favourable effect thereof on the use of acne. We discuss the combined use of topical treatment protocols as well as the use of ingredients for systemic use.","PeriodicalId":23420,"journal":{"name":"Ukrainian Journal of Dermatology, Venerology, Cosmetology","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"78697555","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore lighting, colour design, aroma and good behaviour of doctors are very essential Based on these ideas we conducted a study in our hospital premises as to how our 5 senses can help to conceptualise a dermatology operation theatre. Method: The study was carried out in the Department of Dermatology, Employees State Insurance – Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences & Research (ESI-PGIMSR), Basaidarapur, New Delhi. 120 was the sample size which was divided in to 3 groups of doctors, nurses and patients of 40 each. All cases were evaluated using case record proforma comprising of their demographic profile and 21 questions which was prevalidated. Results: In choosing colour of wall paint, 60% doctors opted white and 32.5% yellow. 53.3% selected white in total followed by yellow 21.7% followed by blue 15.8% and vibrant colour 9.2%. While choosing colour of linen (bed sheets) most doctors chose green colour (55%). All (100%) preferred provision of windows/ ventilator in OT for natural light. Hearing calming words by doctors before surgery was appreciated by all nurses and patients (100%). Conclusion: Five senses of human body play an important role while conceptualising the operation theatre.","PeriodicalId":23420,"journal":{"name":"Ukrainian Journal of Dermatology, Venerology, Cosmetology","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-10-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"80561960","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
