Widiastuti","doi":"10.20961/nozel.v4i4.72273","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.20961/nozel.v4i4.72273","url":null,"abstract":"This study aims to (1) analyze the gap between students' perceptions and expectations of the academic services of the Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program, (2) analyze the attributes of academic services that are priorities, and (3) identify improvement efforts that need to be prioritized in order to improve the quality of academic services at Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program. This research is quantitative descriptive. Sources of data in this study is primary data obtained directly from students through questionnaires, and interviews as supporting data. The sampling technique is done by probability sampling. Data collection was done by questionnaire and supported by interviews. The validity test technique used is the Pearson product moment correlation. Data analysis using ServQual and QFD methods. The results of this study are as follows. First, the gap between students' perceptions and expectations of academic services for the Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program obtained a negative servqual score with a total servQual score of -0.45. This means that the quality of services provided by the Study Program has not been able to meet student expectations. Second, service attributes that have the highest normalization and need to be prioritized to be improved according to the needs and expectations of students of the Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program are attributes X3, X11, X10, X32 and X33. Third, improvement efforts that need to be prioritized to improve service quality are based on a range of ratings from 1-10 on technical responses, namely, with the highest score of first rank of 0.05069 found in four technical responses on TR1, TR2, TR3, TR4, TR15, TR16, TR11, TR12, TR13, TR14, TR19, TR20, TR21. This makes the competition for jobs in society increase. Everyone who wants to survive the competition for a job must have the ability and skills. In this case, the world of education is also influential, where education is not only to seek knowledge but to find or improve skills that are useful for competing for a job. In technological advances, especially in the automotive sector, the world of education, especially vocational education, must always follow the development of technology in the industry. The PTM Study Program should have a curriculum that is in line with the work or competencies in the industry so that ptm study program graduates can compete in the world of work. This study aims to find out whether the curriculum of the PTM FKIP UNS study program has aligned with the competencies needed by the industrial world. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. The source of this research data is documents from industry and the Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program. Purpose sampling data retrieval technique. Data collection was carried out with documentation and finalized with FGD (Focus Group Discussion). There are three data collection points, namely Toyota Nasmoco Ringroad, Daihatsu Adi Sucipto, and Suzuki Pabelan. The source of data from the draft work documents in the industry is the RPS matkul in the automotive field of the PTM Study Program, vehicle inspection sheets, FGD minutes, and periodic service books for gasoline engines and diesel engines. The validity test technique used is data triangulation. Data analysis using content analysis techniques (Analysis content). First, the competencies that have been taught in the PTM Study Program, especially in the automotive field, have been in line with the competencies or jobs that exist in the industry. The motorcycle population always increases by around 5 million units every year. Of this amount, around 70% are motorbikes of the matic type, aka scooters. One trick that is usually used by automatic motorbike lovers to upgrade the characteristics of their automatic motorbike is to replace a part called the CVT roller. The aims of this study were: (1) To find out the effect on fuel consumption produced by a 110cc automatic motorcycle using variations in roller weight. (2) Knowing the effect on fuel consumption produced by 110cc automatic motorbikes using variations of engine speed. (3) Knowing the effect of using roller weight variations at RPM variations on fuel consumption on 110cc automatic motorcycles. The research method used is experimental. The research data was obtained by measuring the Honda BeAT New 2018 motorcycle sample. The independent variable is roller weight Variation and Variation of engine rotation. The dependent variable is fuel consumption. The data obtained were then analyzed using quantitative descriptive techniques by describing them in the form of graphs and tables. The results of this study are: (1) The use of variations roller weight 10, 12, and 14 grams have an effect on fuel consumption. The use of a roller that is heavier or lighter than standard (12 grams) has the effect of producing a more different fuel consumption. (2) Variations in engine speed (3500, 5000 and 6500 RPM) have an influence on fuel consumption. Each increase in engine speed, the fuel consumption will also increase. This happens because the higher the engine speed, the higher the amount of fuel burned in the combustion chamber. (3) Has the effect of fuel consumption on the use of roller weight variations and variations of engine speed. This effect lies in the average fuel consumption using less standard rollers when compared to using lighter or heavier rollers. The research was conducted by experimental method. This research was conducted by flowing water through a solar water heater and collecting data at 08.00-15.00 with 3 repetitions to get accurate results. Data collection was carried out by recording the temperature at the inlet, outlet, collector, cover, environment, solar radiation intensity, and wind speed. The data obtained were analyzed to determine collector efficiency, fluid efficiency and total efficiency. Based on research results, this solar water heater is capable of producing water temperatures of up to 36.8°C with temperature changes of up to 6.6°C. Distance learning / online is the main choice so that the learning process continues. Online learning results in limited students getting learning resources from textbooks, so that their interest in reading and learning decreases. Researchers make innovations to overcome these problems by making an e-module product as student learning material with concepts and material content that are more interesting and easily understood by students. It is hoped that this e-module can increase students' interest in learning in KBGT lessons (workshop work and technical drawing) at SMKN 8 Malang. This study uses the Borg and Gall version of the R&D (Research & Development) method which is simplified by Anik Ghufron. The development model used has four stages, namely preliminary studies, development, field testing, and product development dissemination. This research is based on interviews and validation questionnaires. The use of solar energy can be maximized by using solar panel technology and solar collectors. One example is a solar water heater. Polycarbonate is a good material to be applied to solar water heaters because it has good mechanical properties and is corrosion resistant. This study aims to analyze the performance of a polycarbonate solar water heater with a trickle system using a flow rate of 2 l/m. This type of research is quantitative with experimental research methods. This research was conducted by flowing water through a solar water heater and taking data from 08.00-15.00 with 3 repetitions to obtain accurate results. Data were collected by recording the temperature at the inlet, outlet, collector, top collector, environment, intensity of solar radiation, and wind speed. The data obtained were analyzed to find collector efficiency, fluid efficiency and total efficiency. Based on the research results, this solar water heater is capable of producing water temperatures up to 40.5°C with temperature changes of up to 7.2°C. Wijayanto","doi":"10.20961/nozel.v4i2.72239","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.20961/nozel.v4i2.72239","url":null,"abstract":"The main purpose of this study was to determine the effect of variations in gamma ray dose on the physical and mechanical properties of natural fiber reinforced polymer blend composites. The method used in this research is experimental. This research was conducted on polymer blend composites, namely recycled High Density Polyethylene (rHDPE) and recycled Polypropylene (rPP) with bamboo fiber reinforcement with variations in gamma ray doses of 0 kGy, 25 kGy, 50 kGy, and 75 kGy. Bamboo is processed using a crusher into fibers with a size of 40 mesh and treated with 5% NaOH alkali for 10 minutes then dried using oven for 24 hour at a temperature of 105 °C to remove lignin contained in bamboo fibers. The composite was made using two machines, namely an extrusion machine with a heater temperature of 175 °C, 180 ºC, 185 ºC, and 190 ºC with a screw speed of 25 rpm. Then the injection molding machine with a temperature of 220 ºC with a specimen mold temperature of 90 ºC and an injection pressure of about 45 bar for 20 minutes. Gamma ray treatment was carried out after making the specimen before testing. Where a gamma cell irradiator is used and as a source of gamma rays, cobalt-60 (Co-60) is used. Tensile and water absorption tests are used to determine the physical and mechanical properties of the composite material according to ASTM D638 type V and ASTM D570-98 standards. The test results showed that the higher the dose used, the lower the physical and mechanical properties of the composite. The highest tensile strength was found at the 25 kGy dose treatment of 13.68 MPa and the lowest at the 75 kGy dose treatment. The lowest water content absorption and thickness expansion after 144 hours of immersion were at a 50 kGy gamma dose of 3.43% and 1.27%, respectively. The method used in this research is the experimental method. The variables used in this study are variations in wind speed from 1 to 5 m/s with intervals of 0.5 m/s. Variations in the number of blades are 2,3, and 4 blades. Variations in the use of end plates and without end plates. The results of this study was found that variations in the number of blades and the use of end plates affect the cut in speed of helical Savonius wind turbine. Thus, charcoal briquette fuel with sugar palm waste is a solution or alternative to solving the waste problem caused by palm trees. This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the effect of pre-heating on the pyrolysis process of palm sugar waste biomass on gas fraction, bio-oil and char. This study used an experimental method conducted in the Mechanical Engineering Education Laboratory of Sebelas Maret University. The research variable is the variation of pre-heating time in the pyrolysis of palm waste biomass against gas fraction, bio-oil and char in a continuous model horizontal reactor. The result of this study is that pre-heating has an effect on the gas fraction. The longer the pre-heating process is carried out, the lower the amount of O2 gas produced.
