Music, especially song, is born with multi-modality natures. But current studies are mainly focus on its audio modality, and the classification capability is not good enough. In this paper we use three modalities which are audio, lyric and MIDI. After extracting features from these three modalities respectively, we get three feature sets. We devise and compare three variants of standard co-training algorithm. The results show that these methods can effectively improve the classification accuracy.","PeriodicalId":232832,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Computational Intelligence and Software Engineering","volume":"62 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127120500","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we adequately utilize the characters of ensemble learning, which can improve the accuracy of individual classifier and generalization ability of the system, and propose a new prediction method of protein-protein interaction sites: ensemble learning method based on the constructive neural network. Protein sequence profile and residue accessible area are used as input feature vectors. We evaluate the ensemble classifiers and compare them with several traditional methods (SVM, ANN, CA and Bayesian) on the dataset of 61 protein chains with 5-fold cross validation. The results clearly show that the proposed ensemble method is quite effective in predicting protein binding sites. Our method achieves good performance (Accuracy of 73.26%, Sensitivity of 58.38%, Specificity of 68.87%, CC of 35.47% and F1-measure of 63.04%), which is significantly better than that of the compared methods. The results obtained show that our proposed method is a promising approach for predicting protein-protein interaction sites.The experiments show the validation and correctness of the ensemble method based on Covering Algorithm (CA).","PeriodicalId":232832,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Computational Intelligence and Software Engineering","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129303059","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to improve the encoding speed, a fast fractal coding algorithm was proposed based on image dividing. An image was first divided into small regions before encoding and then each region was encoded quickly because the time of matching search has been reduced in a small image region. Such algorithm is also convenient for programming. Experiments on fractal compressing of standard images show that the proposed algorithm reduced the encoding time greatly while the quality of decoding image was reduced slightly. In comparison with the baseline fractal algorithm, this proposed algorithm can speed up the encoding process by about 1300 times.","PeriodicalId":232832,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Computational Intelligence and Software Engineering","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126961635","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
