The search algorithm lies at the centre of these networks. Many search methods have been proposed for unstructured peer-to-peer networks, but complicated organization, high search cost and maintenance overhead make them less practicable. To avoid these weaknesses, in this paper, we propose an adaptive and efficient method for search in unstructured P2P networks, the Semantic Inference Search method (SIS). This approach is based on a simple and powerful principle similar to interest-based locality. It utilizes feedback of not only the requested objects but also semantically related objects from previous searches. It applies Bayesian network to establish an inference model, using semantic inference to direct future searches. Experimental results show that the SIS method achieves high success rate, more discovered objects, low bandwidth consumption, less maintenance and adaptation to changing network topologies.","PeriodicalId":232832,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Computational Intelligence and Software Engineering","volume":"67 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116945653","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This, in turn, requires practical software development with new technologies such as Object- Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD), Model-Driven Development (MDD) with the Unified Modeling Language (UML) as the principle modeling language. In this paper, we apply the Rapid Object- Oriented Process (ROPES), to analyze and design a house alarm system. The case study spans all the typical software development phases, from requirement analysis, analysis, to design. Our modeling experience demonstrated that ROPES is an appropriate approach for the analysis and design of real-time and concurrent control systems.","PeriodicalId":232832,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Computational Intelligence and Software Engineering","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121075263","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The calculation of added-value generated from information sharing is complicated and difficult, and this paper proposes to measure the above-mentioned benefits from three aspects: construction period, cost and quality. By establishing mathematical equations of added-value in terms of construction period, cost, quality and the cost of information sharing, we set up a model of comprehensive benefits of ISCSC after eliminating the influence of dimension. We also conduct simple application on the model by analyzing the actual case.","PeriodicalId":232832,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Computational Intelligence and Software Engineering","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127481276","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the minimum sampling density for a hexagonal sampling lattice is 13.4% less than that for a rectangular sampling lattice when the image signals which are band limited over a circular region of the Fourier plane. Hexagonal discrete cosine transform is applied to color image compression in this paper. The original rectangular-based image is converted to hexagonal-based image first. Then, the image converted is segmented to hexagonal sub-images with different side length instead of rectangular ones. The transform coefficients obtained by HDCT are quantized and manipulated by entropy coding. The experiment results are given and show that there is higher compression ratio with our methods on the premise of ensuring the image quality.","PeriodicalId":232832,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Computational Intelligence and Software Engineering","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125878851","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
