The length of time budget is the vital parameter that needs to be determined to ensure a safe takeover manner. Existing literature on this issue rarely considers potential interactions between time budget and other factors, and a variable time budget seemed to be paradoxical in critical unplanned transitions. To this end, this study investigated drivers’ takeover performance and workload under varying automation levels, time budget and road curvature. We employed the operational design domain (ODD) exiting event as the transition scenario where the ego car was about to leave the highway. Results showed that drivers in L3 takeovers performed worse and elicited higher workload than L2 when entering a curved ramp with a limited time budget. Takeovers when entering a curved ramp yielded worse performance and higher workload, as compared to entering a straight ramp. Such detrimental effects caused by loss of situation awareness (SA) and change of road curvature can be mitigated by increasing the length of time budget. All these findings suggest that even in simplified ODD exiting scenarios, the length of time budget should vary according to the state of the driver and the environment.","PeriodicalId":232563,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE Asia-Pacific Conference on Image Processing, Electronics and Computers (IPEC)","volume":"50 22","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120856075","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Especially in the field of information acquisition and trajectory control of ships, its excessive reliance on manual a priori experience such as captains and sailors greatly increases the demand for talents in the ship industry. In this paper, we propose and design an AIS-based ship information acquisition and trajectory control system. With the data support of AIS system, we complete the information acquisition and analysis positioning of ship operation system by converting coordinate system design, combine with least squares algorithm to complete the final trajectory seeking control, and build an integrated information acquisition and ship control system. It further improves the information acquisition rate and control transmission rate of the ship, and improves the navigation efficiency and capability of the ship.","PeriodicalId":232563,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE Asia-Pacific Conference on Image Processing, Electronics and Computers (IPEC)","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125053259","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this work, based on texture characteristics analysis of sky image collected by TSI combined with SVM model, a new methods for the forecasting of cloud radiative forcing was presented. First, the texture characteristics related to solar irradiation were extracted from sky images through image processing technologies, including contrast, entropy, grayscale and energy; Then regression model was built between image characteristics and irradiation reduction coefficient; Finally, the SVM model was used to forecasting cloud radiation forcing. The experiment results indicated that: the forecasting accuracy of the method based on texture characteristics tends to provide better a performance than traditional forecasting method and forecasting method based on cloud block movement prediction. In the past few years, there have been several effective low light enhancement algorithms. However, a supervised deep-learning algorithm requires paired data, which is difficult to collect in dynamic scenes. Meanwhile, there are problems of color distortion and noise amplification in the enhanced image. In this paper, we train an effective image denoise and enhancement model. Furthermore, our method only uses low-light images as training data without ground truth to solve the difficulty of data collection. This paper focuses on robotic hand designs aimed at assisting post-stroke patients with enhanced human-computer interaction, including four innovative research direction areas. a) Aesthetically, the four-piece human-computer interaction-based robotic hand design (i.e., internal mechanics, five elastic bands, electrodes, and soft skin-friendly material) looks more like sports equipment than a wearable machine. b) Inspired by human palm design engineering, the The human-computer assisted manipulator is an innovative form of mixing soft and hard components and materials, constructed from layers closest to the body made of soft, stretchable fabrics (i.e., neoprene and fly stitch fabric). 3D printed flexible TPU components, which use BOA dials to increase or decrease finger tension. c) For added strength, the product is worn on the palm of the hand, and then tightening the wrist strap prevents unwanted movement This is an innovative patent and is integrated into the glove. This is innovative and patented and the BOA dial integrated in the glove is attached to five elastic bands, one for each finger, which are secured in place by a channel placed on the TPU piece. This makes it lighter in weight. d) Intelligent. By being equipped with sensors, it can be intelligently sensed internally to properly release tension with promoting blood circulation in the wearer’s hand, they push the BOA dial in and rotate it to increase tension, and to release tension, the user simply pulls the BOA dial upward. This will help the muscles relax and restore normal fluid movement. The data can be viewed in the accompanying app. After researching and investigating the existing human-machine interaction based robotic hand mostly made of steel, the sensor cannot sense the material of the object well after wearing, temperature, and the set finger bending angle cannot fit the object well. Through experimental data to test the best working area and experimental daily use force, we study and adjust the best for the human-machine interaction-based robotic three-dimensional work treatment area. This is one of the most innovative solutions with the future of the industry, this research focuses on the process of human-computer interaction for the patient’s hand is also required for a large number of interaction resources also with human resources. The development of a more skin-friendly, safer, and less expensive human-computer interaction-based manipulator (HES) that can operate by itself is sufficient to support all daily living activities (ADLs) of the hand. Finally, the physical field study experiments also showed that the device is flexible and can be customized by anyone for the right size and use.","PeriodicalId":232563,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE Asia-Pacific Conference on Image Processing, Electronics and Computers (IPEC)","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129130895","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, a trajectory tracking control method based on model prediction is proposed to solve the problem of unmanned vehicle trajectory tracking, and the controller is optimized in a performance objective driven way. Specifically, the cost function of the model predictive controller is parameterized. And the global optimal performance in a specific scenario as the goal to build the global performance cost function. Then, the global performance cost is expressed as a Gaussian process, and new parameters of the next optimization are inferred by Bayesian optimization. The controller parameters of global performance optimization are found with a small learning cost through multiple iterations to improve tracking performance. To verify the effectiveness of this data-driven optimization algorithm, lane-changing experiments with Carsim and Matlab/Simulink are carried out.
