The used research method is the scenario paradigm presenting the scenario work in a border security project. This study will not predict the future rather will indirectly affect to the public debate and the development projects. When using scenario work in international development projects, the key is to only make a rough outline on what is needed. There is a learning curve that should be taken into consideration, and after sufficient experience the level of difficulty should be raised. Altering the scenarios also works very well, and with the CBPI scenarios it ended up giving untough of results. All in all, scenarios provide a good tool not only for testing technology, as was done in the CBPI project. Instead, they proved useful also with AIRBEAM wise guys panel, where a certain situation should be explained to a group of people, whose previous experience might not cover different environments. However, without demonstrations to support the scenarios, these results cannot be applied.","PeriodicalId":232149,"journal":{"name":"2015 Second International Conference on Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and Social Media (CSCESM)","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127016520","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Designing security for such digital systems has been challenging because of the technologies that make up the systems for digital information sharing. More specifically, new advances in hardware, networking, information, and human interface need new ways of thinking and realization to, for example, design, build, evaluate, and conceptualize a resilient digital service or system. This study focuses on the methodological contribution of design theory to resilient digital systems and further serves as a continuum to existing studies.","PeriodicalId":232149,"journal":{"name":"2015 Second International Conference on Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and Social Media (CSCESM)","volume":"62 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114085576","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Also Finnish PPDR authorities and politicians have recognized the importance of a common situational awareness in preparation for the future. When the purpose is to work effectively towards a common goal or solve various challenges, accurate and reliable information as a basis for situational awareness is needed. It is also called as a common overall picture. This study was conducted on the ground by visiting situation and command centers located in the Turku area. The Southwestern Finland Police department, the Southwest Finland Emergency Services, the Hospital District of Southwest Finland and the Finnish Border Guard in Turku have their own situation/ command centers. The main purpose of the study was to find out local level factors which affect to utilization of situational awareness system. The aim was also to research the level of preparedness in regional administration including local PPDR departments. The other important research topic was the level of preparedness to implement new technology in the local PPDR departments. The main results can be summarized so that the operational field work of the PPDR authorities should be more standardized so that implementing new technology would be profitable. The lack of cooperation between situation centers prevent to create common situational awareness. Starting cooperation at the scene of the accident is not enough in a major accident for example nuclear disaster occurs.","PeriodicalId":232149,"journal":{"name":"2015 Second International Conference on Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and Social Media (CSCESM)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130883187","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To improve the performance of MCTS we have analyzed a grammatical inference problem. The research led us to devise an efficient algorithm, that for given small finite sets of a game's winning and losing positions, inductively synthesizes a regular expression for predicting similar positions to the ones in the winning part. On that foundation we have built an opening book and showed-in the conducted experiments on the Toads-and-Frogs game-that it helped to increase the playing strength significantly.","PeriodicalId":232149,"journal":{"name":"2015 Second International Conference on Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and Social Media (CSCESM)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129232727","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Cloud computing is the computing that relies on a large pool of systems interconnected in private or public networks to deliver computing resources like services and data. Nowadays, there is no need of having local servers or personal devices to handle applications and data. Access to these resources for everyone and anywhere has become a necessity. Moreover, the evolution of ubiquitous computing combined with cloud computing implies the development of personalized services and applications considering the user preferences in order to provide an appropriate user interface anywhere anytime. However, the user interfaces so far are not conforming to the needs of people and especially those with disabilities or elderly. The paper introduces an accessible tool for declaring and managing user preferences that participate in personalization implementation in cloud computing environment. The proposed tool focuses mostly on elderly and people with disabilities and helps the users to build preference sets in order to improve access efficiency.","PeriodicalId":232149,"journal":{"name":"2015 Second International Conference on Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and Social Media (CSCESM)","volume":"62 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126301462","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To achieve this goal the precise descriptions of the objects, resources they use, and services they provide be made available in the IoT so that humans and objects can query, discover, and exchange services in the IoT. In this paper, a framework to meet these objectives is proposed. The key features of this environment are the integration of resource knowledge and “things” description in a class, creation of mini-configurations, loose coupling of the application management layer with IoT layer, and service generation and composition methods for “things” and clients external to the IoT. This framework can be specialized to any application domain, such as power grid, healthcare, and critical infrastructure monitoring.","PeriodicalId":232149,"journal":{"name":"2015 Second International Conference on Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and Social Media (CSCESM)","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124176602","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This can be achieved through high quality of the software development lifecycle. Web applications are mostly running on the Internet and are being exposed to many security threats and malicious operations. The mission of EUCISE2020 project (EUropean test bed for the maritime Common Information Sharing Environment in the 2020 perspective) is to enhance interoperability between systems and networks. The interconnections must be established in a decentralized way using cutting-edge technologies. Hence, it requires innovative and practical solutions from the web development companies. The research problem is being addressed with the Stanford Research Institute NABC (Needs, Approach, Benefits and Competition) method. Our approach is to conceptualize a testing scenario for the web application development process. The concept utilizes the International Telecommunication Union recommended standard security framework (ITU-T X.805) in the context of test automation for end-to-end communications. This study presents a new holistic solution in feature driven fashion. As a result, we propose that building acceptance test scenarios using ITU-T X.805 guidelines in Software Development Lifecycle is a sustainable approach.","PeriodicalId":232149,"journal":{"name":"2015 Second International Conference on Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and Social Media (CSCESM)","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129146811","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
