Due to their inherent impromptu nature, they are set up in insecure environments, which makes them susceptible to attacks. Routing protocols which form the backbone of any network are a common target of these nodes. Two such protocols i.e Ad hoc On-Demand Distance Vector Routing Protocol (AODV) and Ad hoc On-Demand Multipath Distance Vector Protocol (AOMDV) are analysed in this paper. The attacks implemented are Blackhole, Grayhole, Flooding and Rushing attack. However, very few studies to date have addressed the use of smart mobile health technologies for smoking cessation in the region. This paper proposes a smart mobile health solution tailored to assist with smoking cessation in the Arabian Gulf, and in particular in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). It presents a framework for a smartphone-based system designed according to the requirements analyzed from a specific survey conducted to identify the smoker needs and medical staff needs identified from the interviews from the KSA user's perspective. The amount of amplitude fluctuations in GNSS signals due to scintillation is estimated by the �������� index. For this purpose, traditional closed loop architectures are employed in the receiver. In this paper we investigate an alternative measurement parameter based on the Skewness of the histogram of the processed samples. Real-time video offers numerous possibilities to authorities, especially in rescue services. Situation information acquired through real-time video can for example make the production of rescue service officers' situation picture more efficient and accurate. Real-time video also serves distance leading exceptionally well and makes decision-making a lot easier because of more accurate situation information. This paper is reporting the results of a Thesis conducted in cooperation between Laurea University of Applied Sciences, Emergency Services College, Eye Solutions Ltd. and VideoDrone Ltd. as part of the AIRBorne information for Emergency situation Awareness and Monitoring (AIRBEAM) project. The paper evaluates and discusses the suitability of situation information produced by real-time video to the officer in charge of rescue services. The paper ultimately attempts to understand real-time video in rescue services as a phenomenon, which possibilities are not yet utilized. These preferences describing the actual state of the item are generally certain. However, in real problems we can not ignore the importance of uncertainty. In this paper, we propose a purely possibilistic collaborative filtering approach that provides a recommendation list given uncertain preferences expressed by possibility distributions. To cut labor costs, prevent safety accidents, and save energy, there is a need to sophisticate the facility management system using the latest ICT, including IoT, for inspecting, monitoring, and maintaining facilities. Study is based on several articles, recommendations and guidelines of different EU Member state authorities, and previous studies on crisis management and social media use in crisis communication especially relating the maritime sector. Research shows that maritime operators and authorities would benefit from common instructions in social media use at crisis communication. Collectively implemented social media guidelines and communication between all authorities, third sector organizations and ship-owners would improve the flow of information, clarify the division of responsibilities, speed up the aid efforts and help to minimize the damage caused by an injury. At the moment EU and Member State level authorities or shipping companies have their own directions and prevailing practices. While the evaluation of traditional (i.e., built on application–specific integrated circuit technology) GNSS receivers is now well–understood, and enjoys both a solid testing industry providing the required equipment and universally agreed figures of merit, the particularities of software–defined radio technologies claim for a more comprehensive approach. In order to account for such a multi–faceted nature, the authors identify sixteen design forces, or dimensions in which a software-defined GNSS can improve. Upon those definitions, a wide list of performance indicators, metrics and procedures are then proposed for each of the identified thrusts.
