How young people choose language as a means of expression in the realm of house and the realm of friendship. (A) determining the location and population and sample, (b) questionnaire distribution to a number of respondents who were then analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively, (c) nonparticipant observation in the daily life of the younger generation, (d) structured interviews and depth using snowball method which then analyzed qualitatively. The population of this research is the entire younger generation of Javanese who live in Central Java. The target population of this study is the younger generation of the various regions who live in Solo, Boyolali, Pekalongan, and Tegal, while the sample was selected randomly. The result shows that (1) the younger generation of Java uses more BI (Bahasa Indonesia) than Javanese (BJ) both in the home and friendship, (2) the young generation of Java will use 100% BI when someday have a spouse, (3) the younger generation of Java has a negative attitude towards BJ, being ignorant of BI, and not proud of BI, (4) the younger generation is more familiar with the vocabulary such as downloads, stakeholders, gadgets, than in BI, and (5) estimated BJ (especially manners) in the next 2 or 3 generations will be abandoned by the younger generation of Java. Intisari Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkap nasib bahasa bahasa Jawa di satu sisi dan bahasa Indonesia di sisi lain melalui  pemilihan dan pemertahanan bahasa (Indonesia dan Jawa) oleh generasi muda. Bagiamana kaum muda memilih bahasa sebagai alat ekspresinya pada ranah rumah dan ranah persahabatan. Untuk menjawab pertanyaan tersebut dilakukan (a) menentukan lokasi dan  populasi  serta sampel, (b) penyebaran angket ke sejumlah responden yang kemudian dianalisis secara kualitatif dan  kuantitatif, (c) observasi nonpartisipan pada kehidupan sehari-hari generasi muda, (d) wawancara terstruktur dan mendalam dengan menggunakan metode snowball yang kemudian dianalaisis secara kualitatif. Populasi penelitin ini adalah seluruh generasi muda Jawa yang tingal di Jawa Tengah. Because of Central Java as a speech community the Javanese langage, it’s as one subject of local content in this region. For residents who speak Sundanese as mothertongue, this is a difficulty in itself. It is important for us to discuss. This paper aims to analyze the use of Sundanese as a mother tongue and its implications in language teaching policy in the Province of Central Java. The data in this study were collected by literature study technique with data source, that is,TheCitizenship, Ethnicity, Religion, and Every day language Indonesia Population: Result of Population Census2010. Data analysis using statistics descriptive and descriptive qualitative.Data from the 2010 Population Census shows that 578,164 people of Central Java (age 5 and above) use Sundanese as the mother tongue of a total of 29,671,375. The number of Sundanese speakers in Central Java is spread across 14 districts in two districts, namely Brebes and Cilacap. The presence of Sundanese speakers in Central Java is due to two factors: 1) migration factors and 2) non-migration factors. Number of Sundanese speakers due to migration factor 109,428 and non-migration factors amounted to 468,736.IntisariProvinsi Jawa Tengah merupakan masyarakat tutur bahasa Jawa, namun penduduk di daerah Jawa Tengah yang berbatasan dengan Jawa Barat menggunakanan bahasa Sunda sebagai bahasa sehari-hari (bahasa ibu). Karena Jawa Tengah sebagai masyaratakat tutur bahasa Jawa, maka bahasa Jawa sebagai salah satu mata pelajaran muatan lokal di wilayah ini. Bagi penduduk yang berbahasa ibu bahasa Sunda, hal ini merupakan kesulitan tersendiri. Karena itulah, hal ini penting untuk kita diskusikan. Paper ini bertujuan menganalisis pemakaian bahasa Sunda sebagai bahasa sehari-hari (bahasa ibu) dan implikasinya dalam kebijakan pengajaran bahasa daerah di Provinsi Jawa Tengah. Data dalam studi ini dikumpulkan dengan teknik studi pustaka dengan sumber dataKewarganegaraan, Suku Bangsa, Agama, dan Bahasa Sehari-hari Penduduk Indonesia: Sensus Penduduk2010. Analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan deskriptif kualitatif.Data hasil Sensus Penduduk 2010 menunjukkan bahwa578.164 jiwa penduduk Jawa Tengah (umur 5 tahun ke atas) menggunakan bahasa Sunda sebagai bahasa ibu dari total 29.671.375. Jumlah penutur bahasa Sunda di Jawa Tengah tersebar di 14 kecamatan dalam dua kabupaten, yakni Brebes dan Cilacap. Keberadaan penutur bahasa Sunda di Jawa Tengah karena dua faktor yaitu 1) faktor migrasi, dan 2) faktor non-migrasi. Jumlah penutur bahasa Sunda karena faktor migrasi 109.428 jiwa. For that required expertise to read the face or face reading is known as physiognomy. This paper will discuss how to read the face according to Imam Syafii in the book Wirasat Sapii. The theory used is semiotics. The result shows that Imam Syafii who is the founder of the Syafii mazhab is known to have a high feeling, but in particular there is no work of his hunch. Furthermore in Wirasat Sapii stated that there are eight aspects of the premonition to recognize one's character is seen from the shape and color of the limbs, especially in the face. Eight aspects are head, hair, forehead, eyebrows, ears, eyes, nose, and lips. IntisariWajah bisa mencerminkan perilaku dan watak pemiliknya. Untuk itu diperlukan keahlian untuk membaca wajah atau face reading yang dikenal dengan fisiognomi. Tulisan ini akan membahas bagaimana cara membaca wajah  menurut Imam Syafii di dalam kitab Wirasat Sapii. Teori yang digunakan adalah  semiotika. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa Imam Syafii yang peletak mazhab Syafii memang dikenal mempunyai firasat tinggi, namun secara khusus tidak ada karya beliau terkait ilmu firasat. Selanjutnya di dalam Wirasat Sapii dinyatakan bahwa ada  delapan aspek ilmu firasat untuk mengenal watak seseorang dilihat dari bentuk dan warna anggota tubuh, khususnya di bagian wajah. Ideally the arts as part of the national culture derive its meaning in terms of understanding and appreciation of cultural values. Therefore, to improve the resilience of the nation's culture, then the national development needs to be dotted from the efforts of art development that can give birth to \"cultural value-added\". Artistic gifts (local and national) are essentially necessary, because they are rooted in the culture of society. However, it is possible for decomposition, reconstruction, recoreography, renovation, revitalization, refunctionalization, along with improvisations with various ornaments. This is where local art becomes cultural property and socio-cultural \"capital\" of society. For this reason, a strategy is needed so that regional art can be placed as a means of creating a nation's cultural resilience. One of them is to revitalize the art of wayang culture through television shows. IntisariPengembangan kesenian tradisonal adalah pembangunan nilai-nilai seni dan apresiasi seni demi meningkatkan kemartabatan seniman dan masyarakat. Idealnya kesenian sebagai bagian dari kebudayaan nasional memperoleh maknanya dalam kaitan dengan pemahaman dan apresiasi nilai-nilai kultural. Oleh karena itu, untuk  meningkatkan ketahanan budaya bangsa, maka pembangunan nasional perlu bertitik-tolak dari upaya-upaya pengembangan kesenian yang mampu melahirkan “nilai-tambah kultural”. Pakem-pakem kesenian (lokal dan nasional) pada dasarnya tetap diperlukan, karena ia berakar dalam budaya masyarakat. Akan tetapi, ia dimungkinkan untuk dekomposisi, rekonstruksi, rekoreografi, renovasi, revitalisasi, refungsionalisasi, disertai improvisasi dengan aneka hiasan. Di sinilah kesenian daerah menjadi kekayaan budaya dan “modal sosial-kultural” masyarakat. Untuk itulah,diperlukan sebuah strategi agar kesenian daerah dapat ditempatkan sebagai sarana menciptakan ketahanan budaya suatu bangsa. Selection of respondents and informants using purposive sampling system. Data collection methods were conducted through structured interviews, in-depth interviews, and focus group discs. The method of data analysis using the separation of components on speech by greeting sad lingual aspects contained in the speech.There are three lingual aspects that influence the power of speech:  speech sauce, variety, and formIntisariTujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan aspek lingual yang memperkuat tuturan tegur-sapa social masyarakat Jawa Pesisir di Kota Semarang.  Tuturan bertegur-sapa ini sebagai perekat harmoni sosioal dan peredam konflik horizontal, sekaligus sebagai fitur keunikan dalam pertalian keakraban sosial di wilayah pesisiran.  Lokasi penelitian di Kota Semarang. Pemilihan responden dan informan menggunakan sistem purposive sampling. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara terstruktur, wawancara  mendalam, dan focus group discus.Metode analisis data menggunakan pemilahan komponen pada tuturan bertegur-sapa melalui aspek-aspek lingual yang terdapat pada tuturan. The four types of border adverbs are verb-limiting adverbs, adjective adjuster adverbs, nomina-limiting adverbs, and numerical delimiter adverbs. Although in the discussion we can see a barrier adverb that can be used more than one type, but it will not weaken the description that has been obtained. Keywords: borderline adverbs, Indonesian.IntisariJenis adverbia pewatas dalam bahasa Indonesia bukan hanya dua — seperti dinyatakan dalam Tata Bahasa Buku Bahasa Indonesia (1993) —, melainkan empat. This study aims to see the intertextual relations Tanwiru ‘-Qari’ derived from the Javanese text with Tuchfatu ‘l-Athfal derived originating from Arabic texts. The results show that Tanwiru ‘l-Qari' text structure is a transformation of the Tuchfatu ‘l-Athfal text. It appears in the narrative structure, the formal structure, and the ideas of the two texts. IntisariKehadiran sebuah teks tidak bisa terbebas dari teks-teks sebelumnya. Sebab, hadirnya sebuah teks baru sangat terpengaruh dari teks-teks yang sudah ada. Inilah yang disebut dengan hubungan intertekstual. Hadirnya teks tajwid di Jawa pasti sangat dipengaruhi oleh teks Arab. Sebab, teks tajwid itu merupakan ranah bahasa Arab. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan intertekstual Tanwiru ‘l-Qari’ yang berasal dari teks Jawa dengan Tuchfatu ‘l-Athfal yang berasal yang berasal dari teks Arab. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa struktur teks Tanwiru ‘l-Qari’ merupakan transformasi dari teks Tuchfatu ‘l-Athfal. In the context of Indonesian disrup students of darma students are still experiencing difficulties because Indonesian is a foreign language for them. The purpose of this research is to describe the error of composing sentence of darma students of Diponegoro University in 2017. Samples taken in this research was darma students. This research focuses on language errors, especially writing skills. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The data source of this research is the writings of advanced students of Diponegoro University in 2017. Data collection used purposive sampling technique. Data analysis was conducted by identifying sentence errors and then classifies by mistake. The result of the research showed that the errors found are the use of affixes, the use of conjunctions and prepositions, the arrangement of sentences is too long, the sentence structure is incomplete, the improper use of diction, the errors of spelling, and the use of the word redundant.IntisariTujuan mahasiswa darma siswa datang ke Indonesia yaitu belajar bahasa dan budaya Indonesia. Dalam mempelajari bahasa Indonesia diduga mahasiswa darma siswa masih megalami kesulitan karena bahasa Indonesia merupakan bahasa asing bagi mereka. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan kesalahan penyusunan kalimat  mahasiswa darma siswa Universitas Diponegoro tahun 2017. Sampel yang diambil dalam penelitian ini mahasiswa darma siswa tingkat lanjut. Penelitian ini memfoluskan  pada kesalahan berbahasa terutama keterampilan menulis. Penelitian ini merupakan  penelitian  deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data penelitian ini berupa tulisan mahasiswa darma siswa Universitas Diponegoro tingkat lanjut tahun 2017. Pengambilan data menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Analisis data dilakukan dengan mengidentifikasi kesalahan kalimat kemudian mengklasifikasikan berdasarkan kesalahanmya.
