In order to speed up decision-making on the most likely course of action, machine learning have shown their effectiveness in analyzing perioperative effects. In several technological sectors, ML models have been utilized for a while to specify and rank dangerous threat variables. To handle forecasting problems, several different prediction approaches are regularly used. The work shows how ML models can forecast the frequency of COVID-19 instances in the future, which is now considered to be a serious threat to civilisation. In this study, we carried out a comparison analysis of two widely used machine learning models: SVM and linear regression. Each model projects three variables: the cumulative count of confirmed cases, the cumulative count of fatalities, and the cumulative count of recoveries over the next 30 days. The study's conclusions demonstrate that applying these tactics to the current COVID-19 pandemic scenario is a viable choice. To boost accuracy, we used two ML models. The results of the experiment indicate that when it comes to COVID-19 prediction, Linear Regression yields the best results, while SVM yields the worst.","PeriodicalId":228989,"journal":{"name":"2023 3rd International Conference on Innovative Research in Applied Science, Engineering and Technology (IRASET)","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123318102","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This modeling is based on a curvilinear finite element with two nodes and has six degrees of freedom per node and the implicit time scheme of Newmark. In order to illustrate this numerical approach, we have considered a spring consisting of two layers having the same mean line with a geometric parameter defining the rate of the external layer in the composite spring, the results obtained are compared with the homogeneous case where the geometric parameter is zero. The numerical tests carried out have shown the possibility of reducing the weight of the spring by choosing an adequate percentage of the external layer and this while preserving practically the same dynamic response of the homogeneous spring.","PeriodicalId":228989,"journal":{"name":"2023 3rd International Conference on Innovative Research in Applied Science, Engineering and Technology (IRASET)","volume":"55 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116537845","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Capsule endoscopy (CE) procedure emerged as important investigation for screening the small bowel and the entire colon. However, examining the CE videos by gastroenterologists is a tedious and time consuming task as the capsule camera takes more than eighty thousand frames, with a frequency rate of 2 frames per second, for one segment of the gastrointestinal tract. However, having an automatic way to categorize the patchy frames that hold the markers of Crohn's disease will help the examiners to provide more reliable diagnosis and treatment. In this article, we are describing a thick data analysis framework that can help categorizing Crohn's disease sequences through the use of triplet-loss Siamese neural network that can learn from few shots provided by the expert to detect frames with markers of the Crohn's disease as well as to eliminate those frames having reduced mucosal view. Additionally, the framework uses a fuzzy filler to produce intermediate sets of frames having similar markers. These sets can be annotated and returned back to their position at the original CE video. The use of our framework showed promising results in re-orienting the original CE video into marked sequences of Crohn's disease frames. We have trained and tested our framework using two notable CE datasets (KVASIR Capsule and CrohnIPI) that contain the expert annotation on related markers of Crohn's disease.","PeriodicalId":228989,"journal":{"name":"2023 3rd International Conference on Innovative Research in Applied Science, Engineering and Technology (IRASET)","volume":"534 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123102834","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

They have been widely used in the industry for the development of variousdevices, such as actuators, sensors, transducers, speakers, vibration dampers,and fast relays. This special class of materials shows an inherent couplingbetween magnetic field and deformation. Structures made of magnetostrictivematerials are capable of simultaneously changing their dimensions, and elasticand/or electromagnetic properties in the presence of a magnetic field. The objective of this work is to model andnumerically simulate the instability phenomenon of magnetostrictive sensorssubject to compressive loadings. The mechanical modeling of the consideredsensor is done using a one-dimensional elastic magnetostrictive beam undercompression subjected to a magnetic field. The formulation of the problem iscarried out using the Euler-Bernoulli beam theory and taking into account thecoupling of the mechanical and magnetic effects via the behavior relations ofmagnetostrictive materials. The equilibrium equation of the sensor was obtainedby applying the Lagrangian formalism. The buckling loads and the critical loadof the compressed beam were calculated analytically and numerically using anapproach based on the Finite Element Method (FEM). Different boundaryconditions were considered.","PeriodicalId":228989,"journal":{"name":"2023 3rd International Conference on Innovative Research in Applied Science, Engineering and Technology (IRASET)","volume":"80 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130908469","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The e-learning or the new learning paradigm is a method that has imposed itself on universities for years, and it is a new form of education that is developing with the development of technologies. The e-learning is essentially an innovative type of self-service; the learner learns alone without the help of his teacher. In other words, the learner orients himself towards this service with his will and his choice, because he selects the service, which seems to him to meet his needs and his aspirations. Moreover, in learning each learner has different learning strategies, called learning style means the methods, techniques or systems designed to increase the efficiency and improve the level of learning, and develop students' scientific and cognitive abilities in various activities and tasks. So all learners must be brought to this awareness, it is necessary to offer educational activities of different types in order to respond to the different learning profiles of learners. Accordingly, this study presents the appropriate strategy that must be followed for the success of e-learning in E-platforms. By analyzing the responses of learners in our dataset and comparing the performance in predicting the learning styles of machine learning algorithms NN, RF, DT, BN, ANN and SVM. To determine the strongest algorithm and the most suitable for E-platforms, based on the most popular styles captured in the V ARK model (visual, auditory, read/write, and kinesthetic). The results of this study showed that the NN algorithm is the most accurate (98,7%) and efficient ones in predicting the learning style oflearners.","PeriodicalId":228989,"journal":{"name":"2023 3rd International Conference on Innovative Research in Applied Science, Engineering and Technology (IRASET)","volume":"139 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134430335","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This dynamic will increase the number of mobile terminals in circulation in African countries and crescendo the exposure of users to the electromagnetic waves emitted by these mobile terminals and more precisely to those using terminals whose Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) is raised. Legislation exists to reassure people, but daily exposure to these waves raises many questions about the influence they can have on the human body. To manage this problem, it is important to set up a SAR Monitoring and Control System (SSCSAR) for each African Country, managed by the national regulatory body of each African country, and also a Supervision and Control of SAR (SSSAR) for all African countries. This system, equipped with a database to manage the power of the SAR emitted by the mobile terminal, can alert the regulatory body at any time each time the terminal emits a flow greater than the authorized value. This will make it possible to fight against the proliferation of mobile terminals with a high SAR and thus solve a public and environmental health problem on the African continent.","PeriodicalId":228989,"journal":{"name":"2023 3rd International Conference on Innovative Research in Applied Science, Engineering and Technology (IRASET)","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130112331","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The temperature of the PV panel can be minimized by using the PCM which absorbs the excess heat from the PV panel as latent heat. The study examines the impact of a cooling system composed of a heat sink with flat fins and a layer of various types of PCM on the temperature of the photovoltaic panel with and without glass layer. The PCM type used are: RT42, RT58, and C22-C45. The 2D numerical simulation is based on the CFD method using the ANSYS Fluent software for solving the conservation equations, and thus the optimization of the temperature distribution and the liquid fraction of the system studied. For results closer to reality, a meteorological file of Oujda city located in the east of Morocco has been developed and added to the Ansys fluent software. The results show that the presence of the glass layer in the photovoltaic system increases the PV cell temperature. Moreover, it decreases with the integration of the cooling system for both glazed and unglazed PV panels. The temperature increases with the presence of the glass layer by 6K, 4K, and 3K respectively for the PCMs; RT42, RT58, and C22-C45.","PeriodicalId":228989,"journal":{"name":"2023 3rd International Conference on Innovative Research in Applied Science, Engineering and Technology (IRASET)","volume":"78 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114219590","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
