Due to the industry's time-constrained nature and the products' inherent characteristics, most operations need to be streamlined to avoid product expiration and recalls. Tracking perishable products in supply chains and ensuring their conformity to the standards and norms has become a priority. Customers are informed now more than ever and expect a wide range of selection and high-quality products. To meet these demands, perishable supply chains must operate as efficiently as possible, using novel methods and techniques. Blockchain technology has been used for various purposes, but few have considered perishable supply chains. The use of Blockchain in this industry will help reduce food waste and increase transparency in the supply chain. This paper proposes a proof of concept that uses smart contracts and Blockchain technology to manage perishable products flow between suppliers, retailers, and customers to allow the transfer of ownership and the tracking of the shelf-life span of dairy products. However, they are now facing a number ofchallenges including congestion and restricted bandwidth. These two challengeslimit the achievable data rate. The Africa Telecommunication Union (ATU) hasrecommended the extension of Wi-Fi to the 6 GHz band (5.925 – 7.125 GHz). Kenyais currently considering the recommendation. The 6 GHz band can only be used byRadio Local Area Networks (RLANs) on the condition that they do not causeharmful interference to the incumbents. Therefore, before Wi-Fi can make use of6 GHz band, a coexistence study between Wi-Fi and existing incumbents in the 6GHz band has to be done. Uplink Fixed Satellite Services (FSS) are among theincumbents of the 6 GHz band in Kenya. Although similar coexistence studieshave been done, none has been done for Kenya and also the circumstances andparameters are different for Kenya. The aim of this paper, hence, is to presentthe results of the coexistence study we did between FSS uplink (earth to space)and RLANs in the 6 GHz band for Kenya. The paper also presents a simplifiedmethodology for conducting RLANs-FSS coexistence study. Education has known many evolutions: recently, after the pandemic, in the Industry 4.0 era, and previously, following the industrial revolution. The need for an educated mass of workers progressed to further diverse needs with specifications that employers demand. Therefore, on a strategic level, leaders in higher education (HE) establish visions, build their HEIs' missions and target a certain position on the HE map. In a tactical sense, they plan the HEI's activity, taking into consideration the characteristics of the ecosystem and the volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous environment. Considering these difficulties, the authors propose the adaption of business management and more specifically, supply chain management (SCM), theory and practice, to design HE as a service supply chain that targets an enhanced quality and demonstrates better performance. Following a study of the literature, this paper suggests building a higher education supply chain (HESC) analogy, i.e. the construct. Microstrip patch antennas would be suitable for this target, and miniaturization is a necessary prerequisite for THz-range devices. This was the vision of our current study which aimed to design and analyse such an antenna over the entire THz range from 0.1 to 10 THz by introducing graphene material in different potential configurations of the patch and feedline. The analysis was done for four main characteristics of the antenna: return loss, VSWR, gain and directivity. Furthermore, a parametric study of substrate thicknesses was conducted for three different materials: RT5880, silicon, and polymide. By investigating graphene throughout the entire structure, we obtained a broad bandwidth of more than 9 THz, which is quite interesting for the telecommunication field. Additionally, VSWR is less than 2, starting from 2.2 THz for the various substrate materials. The directivity is improved using graphene, and silicon as the substrate material, and can reach about 7.45 dBi for a thickness of 4.75 μm. The gain can then reach about 34 dBi at 0.1 THz. The nonlinear stochastic Wiener process with uncertain drift coefficient is employed to extract the non-monotonic health trends from real-time vibration signals. The degenerate parameters are estimated through the integration of offline estimation via Maximum likelihood estimation (MLE) and online updating under Bayesian framework. Then, the online distribution of asset lifetime is predicted by dynamic spatio-temporal scale transformation, which further supports dynamic sequential replacement decisions. The operational cost in terms of replacement decision variables is optimized, whose value is dynamically updated under Bayesian framework. Brain hemorrhages are a critical condition that can result in serious health consequences and death. Recently, deep neural networks have been employed for image identification and classification, producing encouraging outcomes in medical image analysis. The objective of this study is to utilize deep learning methods and CNNs to identify brain hemorrhages in CT images. The inspiration for this research stems from the challenges faced by physicians in accurately recognizing brain hemorrhages, especially in the early stages when misdiagnosis is more likely. Through a series of CT experiments, two pretrained CNNs (VGG16 and VGG19) were developed and evaluated for image categorization as either hemorrhage or non-hemorrhage. The VGG16 pre-trained model showed exceptional accuracy compared to the VGG19 model. In this study, the performance of three distinct kinds of inverters, two-level, three-level, and five-level is compared. The proposed five-level inverter features a new topology utilizing an H-bridge fed by voltage levels through its DC bus, resulting in fewer power switches, elimination of DC source imbalance issues, and simplification of control algorithms. The inverter's performance is improved using the sinusoidal PWM control method. To fosterinclusion and equality, many countries have made tangible efforts recently toinclude students with disabilities in mainstream education. A recentministerial resolution by the UAE government directs education institutions tocater to the needs of students with disabilities. Moving comfortably, andefficiently on campus is a basic need for students to attend lectures, labsessions, and social activities in different buildings. However, this basicneed forms another major challenge for students with disabilities. Thischallenge is usually aggravated in gated campuses where private cars are notallowed. In such situations, students with disabilities rely on the specialtransportation service provided by the education institution to move on campus.However, this service is ad-hoc in nature and requires students to communicatewith the service center to book the service in advance. The service booking isdone manually, which reduces the utilization of the available vehicles, andincreases the students' waiting time and the possibility that the booking isrejected. This paper introduces a mobile application with an intelligentbooking system to automate the booking requests. One of our biggest challenges for driver assistance systems requires realizing the surrounding environment while driving the car. This paper details standard Traffic-signs recognition(TSR) system methods used in recent research. Features and classifiers used in modern TSR system methods are introduced and discussed. Most of these methods achieve great precision (accuracy of 98%) when tested in the German Traffic Sign Recognition Benchmark (GTSRB), the most extensively employed and publicly accessible TSR dataset. The paper compares the latest techniques by evaluating their processing time and precision. Zahiri","doi":"10.1109/IRASET57153.2023.10152929","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/IRASET57153.2023.10152929","url":null,"abstract":"The thermal insulation of buildings based on ecological materials resets the excellent solution to decrease the impact of inorganic materials on the environment, using materials of biological origins, such as Durian, Bagasse, Date Palm, Pineapple Leaves, Wood fibers, etc. With their low intrinsic energy, they can improve the quality of the environment and the thermal and energetic performance of the building; for this reason, a comparative study is made numerically using a method of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) two-dimensional between a wall without insulation and a wall with insulation based on an ecological coating based on Aerosil, in the Moroccan climate, and precisely in the city of Ifrane which characters by a cold climate, the solution presented efficient energy savings during both winter and summer season. The results showed that the configuration with the insulation generates an energy saving of 14% during the winter and 61.1% during the summer. The interior surface temperature was reduced by about 4 °C during summer days and increased by about 2 °C during winter.
