It is manifested due to improper diet, prolonged standing and faulty habits of defecation causing derangement of tridosha, mainly vata dosha. Vitiated dosha localizes in guda vali, pradhana dhamani and mansdhara kala and vitiates twak, mansa, meda and rakta, resulting in the annavaha sroto dushti. Modern management of arsha needs, mainly, a surgical approach, i.e. hemorrhoidectomy, wherein the result was found to be less satisfactory. In this article we are discussing regarding the various strategies of treatment of Arsha.","PeriodicalId":228982,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Bio Innovation","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115904503","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The dried and powdered fruit pulp, seed, leaf, stem, stem bark, root and root bark of A. indica were subjected to various sample preparation stages using standard laboratory procedures for determination of phytochemical and proximate composition in the test plant parts. Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) was employed to test for significance. Means were separated using Duncan’s New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT). The results of the study revealed that there were marked differences (P<0.05) in the phytochemical and proximate contents of the fruit pulp, seed, leaf, stem, stem bark, root and root bark of A. indica. Alkaloid was the highest phytochemical compound in the leaf of the test plant. Alkaloid contents of the leaf and root bark showed the highest and equal values (3.42+ 3.45) respectively, while steroid showed the lowest content in fruit pulp (0.15+ 0.17). Carbohydrate content of the fruit pulp showed the highest value (65.52+ 66.13), while the least was fat content of the root (0.42+ 0.45). This study suggests that the phytochemical values and nutritional components of fruit pulp, seed, leaf, stem, stem bark, root and root bark of A. indica, could be utilized as a good source of nutrient supplement, as well as source of useful pharmaceutical products.","PeriodicalId":228982,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Bio Innovation","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129181403","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Worse, it was a preventable disaster. A World Health Organization official said that it is reclassifying the highly contagious triple-mutant Covid variant spreading in India as a “variant of concern,” indicating that it’s become a global health threat. Every healthcare system is stretched to the limit and the coming days are going to be a challenge that will test the Indian Healthcare infrastructure and personnel unlike any other time in history as can be understood by Dr Devi Shetty’s statement. Amidst all these developments, we have to question the role of Ayurveda in the management of Covid 19 and its varied clinical presentations. Though these efforts have been initiated and widely promoted, the ground reality remains that there is a lot of confusion whether the state governments have allowed Ayurveda practitioners to treat Covid 19 cases officially. However, many vaidyas across India are managing mild, moderate and even severe cases of Covid 19 very effectively with encouraging results. Our concern is that the system of Ayurveda is not qualified to be a front runner in addressing the issues of such magnitude as a professional body of experts. What the Covid -19 pandemic has exposed is the lack of co-ordination in the healthcare system of our country and more so in the field of Ayurveda. There is no platform through which Ayurveda doctors can share their data in real time. There is no doubt that Ayurveda has the answers to many of the diseases plaguing mankind. Decades of work by eminent physicians has proved this. The problem is that of documentation and this is the root cause of all the controversies and questions about its efficacy and validity. Thus the question: Is it time for Ayurveda to Repurpose Itself?","PeriodicalId":228982,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Bio Innovation","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132664264","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Materials and Methods : Groundwater samples were collected from twenty-five wells, and Radon concentrations were measured as part of water quality. These samples were taken from the municipal wells in the southern governorates of the Gaza Strip (Rafah and Khanyonis) of the Gaza strip. CR-39 solid-state nuclear track detectors of good quality were used in this survey. Two Detectors were placed inside each water sample. One CR-39 detector was immersed in the water, and the other is in the lid of the container facing the water sample. The detectors were left for 120 days (from April to the middle of August) to allow Radon gas to reach an equilibrium level. The detectors were then collected and chemically etched. Each detector was counted visually using an Optical microscope with a power of (40 x 10), and the number of tracks determined. Results: Findings showed that the Radon levels in the Rafah area ranged between 58 and 154 Bq/m 3 with an average value of 102.4 Bq/m 3 . The average standard deviation (S.D.) is 32.7 and in Khanyonis area ranges of values between 22 and 132 Bq/m 3 with an average weight of 47.8 Bq/m 3 , the average standard deviation of 31.9. This variation of levels is mainly due to the difference in rock type, soil type, and area's geology. Conclusion: More investigation and drawing maps for the radiation pollution in groundwater in the Gaza Strip is required.","PeriodicalId":228982,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Bio Innovation","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114613345","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Only English language articles were selected. No additional sources were accessed, including gray literature. The topic addressed was the following: interaction between occlusion and TMD' 41 articles were sourced relevant to the research question under discussion. None of the articles were duplicates, while four were discarded after reading the abstract, and 15 articles were excluded after reading the articles in full text for studying other factors along with occlusion in their study. A total, therefore, 22 articles were finally selected and included based on their relevance in addressing the proposed research topic. All of them were full text accessed and qualitatively analyzed results.RESULTS: The articles selected demonstrated that there were three streams of studies. While two of the streams were diametrically opposite to each other regarding their conclusions, the third stream pointed out that the methodological flaws in the studies implied that further studies might be needed to arrive at a definite conclusion.CONCLUSION: This systematic review arrived at the following conclusions:1. A majority of studies do not find occlusion as an aetiologic role in TMD; 2.there are a few studies which, however, find an association, and it is the duty of the clinician to differentiate and diagnose the different entities of temporomandibular disorders and adjust the treatment modality accordingly.","PeriodicalId":228982,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Bio Innovation","volume":"39 5","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120980336","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
