Three cooling modes were applied, namely, natural air cooling, normal saline pouring cooling and normal saline spray cooling. K-thermocouple was used to measure temperature in bone hole. Results showed that the drill shape could influence drilling temperature greatly. The maximum drilling temperature of diamond spherical grinding head is 46.31°C. The maximum drilling temperature of common twist drill is 42.1°C and that of diamond bullet-like grinding head is 38.29°C. The drilling temperatures at drill speed is under 560 r/min, 900 r/min, 1,250 r/min and 2,100 r/min are 38.84°C, 41.1°C, 43.84°C and 46.31°C. This reflects that under same of other drilling parameters, drilling temperature increases with the increase of drill speed. The maximum bone drilling temperatures of diamond punch pin under 2,100 r/min speed of mainshaft and air cooling conditions vary as feed speed increase firstly and then decrease. The normal saline spray cooling has the lowest maximum drilling temperature of (29.34°C) at same depth, following by normal saline pouring cooling of (32.45°C) and air cooling of (40.28°C) successively. The normal saline spray cooling has the best cooling effect, followed by normal saline pouring cooling and air cooling successively.","PeriodicalId":22791,"journal":{"name":"The Open Materials Science Journal","volume":"156 1","pages":"178-188"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86314471","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The X-ray powder diffraction patterns indicated that [N(CH3)4]2ZnCl4 belongs to the orthorhombic system with Pmcn symmetry at room temperature. The lattice constants are found to be a= 12.360 Å, b= 15.687 Å and c= 8.985 Å. The values were in good agreement with the values in previous studies. Ultraviolet–visible–near-infrared (UV–Vis–NIR) spectral studies were carried out in the temperature range 276–307 K. This range of temperature involves two phase transition temperatures (Ti=296 K) from normal (parent) to incommensurate phase and (Tc=279 K) from incommensurate to commensurate-ferroelectric phase. The cut off wavelength was found to be 195.016 nm at room temperature. The optical transmittance increases with increasing temperature, and the cut off shifts to higher wavelengths. Analysis reveals that the type of optical transition is the indirect allowed one. The optical energy gap (Eg) has the value of 5.903 eV at room temperature. The value of optical energy gap (Eg) decreases with increasing temperature. The changes in the values of the cut off wavelength and optical energy gap (Eg) with changing the temperature were found to take different rates at the two phases under study, besides anomalous takes place at Ti and Tc. The absorption coefficient (α) as a function of the incident photon energy shows an exponential behavior near the absorption edge which suggests that the Urbach rule is obeyed and indicated the formation of a band tail. Urbach parameters were calculated at different temperatures and the frequencies of effective phonons and electron–phonon interaction constants were determined for various phases.","PeriodicalId":22791,"journal":{"name":"The Open Materials Science Journal","volume":"33 1","pages":"162-172"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85792792","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The palladium nanocubes supported on activated carbon (Pd/C) were prepared by a physical absorption method. The-prepared Pd/C catalysts were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy technology (TEM), thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The results demonstrated that the palladium nano particles with the face- centered-cubic structure were uniformly supported on the activated carbon. It was shown from experimental results that the product yield for the Suzuki-Miyaura reaction between aryl bromides with aryl boronic acid attains more than 90% and has no significant loss of catalytic activity after five reaction cycles.","PeriodicalId":22791,"journal":{"name":"The Open Materials Science Journal","volume":"68 1","pages":"173-177"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83264488","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, image quality is influenced by ambient light, background light and optical properties of the surface. In this paper, we present a three dimensional modeling techniques for the reconstruction of carbon-fiber fabric surface. Firstly, a dense and scattered points cloud is collected using 3D laser scanning system after necessary data quality analysis. Secondly, the original points cloud is preprocessed according to classification. Finally, three-dimensional fabric surface model is reconstructed using screened Poisson reconstruction algorithm.
