Firstly, depending on the gray scale features of pupil, the rough center of pupil was determined by gray projection. Then, based on the rough center, the sub-image that contains the pupil was intercepted with a rectangular window. After that, according to the geometrical characteristics that the pupil approximats a circle, spots were removed by reconstruction with a disc-shaped structural element, Furthermore, the interference of eyelashes was eliminated by the morphological operations. Finally, the pupil eigenvalues were obtained after edge extraction and circle hough transformation. It has applied statistical techniques to measure the quantities of co-occurrence keywords for forming the label matrix of them, and then agglomerated them into higher-level clusters by clustering algorithm in order to classify the results which return from the source search engine. Compared with Lingo, the experimental results show that the labels generated by our algorithm are of more readability and generality. Although MPI alone can be used to parallelize with 1D decomposition along x-direction, the efficiency decreases with increase of CPUs because there are more communications involved. We combine MPI and OPENMP to reduce the communications in the PC cluster, one node of which shares memory with duel-core. The whole domain is decomposed into several sub-domains, the same number as the nodes. Between the nodes we use MPI to realize the communications, and inside each node the OPENMP is applied to do the parallel computing with no communication. The algorithm, based on Q-format, has been successfully applied to convert floating-point into fixed-point. A test platform of flat knitting machines has been built.
