The HEC improves and increases savings in bills for consumers. It also reduces the peak demand and peak to average ratio (PAR) for the utility grid. In this paper an algorithm is proposed for an intelligent HEC to control and manage power consumption for home appliances with simulating demand response (DR) operations. This algorithm controls the common home appliances to attain the minimum energy consumption rates and consequently it reduces the peak loads. It switches the appliances according to their selected priority, and to keep the total consumed power below certain limits. The program is implemented by MATLAB-R2012b for technical validation and solutions. The main objective of this paper is to propose a framework for automating the requirement analysis steps such as identifying and classifying stakeholders, gathering requirements, and classifying requirements. The proposed automatic framework integrates rough set theory, Mendelow's power-interest model, and online questionnaires for the automation process. Rough set theory based on Mendelow's power-interest model supports identifying and classifying stakeholders step. A prepared online questionnaire supports gathering both stakeholders and requirements. In addition, the prepared online questionnaire attempts to classifying requirements based on importance and urgency attributes. After the data is captured automatically by online questionnaire, the analysis of results can be started straight away by presenting the results in tables, charts and graphs. This research contributes to a better understanding of how the integration of technologies (i.e., rough set theory, Mendelow's model and online questionnaire) to requirements analysis steps will ensure the quality, less effort and delivery time for software development. The drawbacks of these vision-based approaches, however, are their high computational cost and lack of robustness. Motion blur and partial occlusion are considered two of the most critical problems that affect robustness of tracking fiducial markers, which is used in many vision-based tracking methods like augmented reality. To overcome these two problems, this paper presents a novel method which merges FAST detection with mean shift tracking algorithms. The original color-based mean shift tracking has a major problem of detecting fiducial markers. Therefore, we used “keypoints” feature to make them more distinguishable. These keypoints are detected by FAST corner detector and tracked by mean shift tracker. Copy-move forgery is one of the most widely used methods for image forgeries in which a part of the image is copied and then pasted to another location in the same image. This procedure is usually used to add or cover a critical part of the image. In this paper, we propose a new fast and accurate algorithm for copy-move forgery detection in digital images. In the proposed algorithm, the image to analyze is segmented into overlapping square blocks with a predefined side length, each one of the blocks is split into equally spaced k sub-blocks. The sum of pixel intensities of each sub-block is used to form a k-dimensional vector with the help of sliding window and such vector is used as a feature for each block. The resulting features of all blocks are stored in a KD-tree. The block corresponding to each node in the KD-tree is checked with the block corresponding to the nearest neighbor of this node. If the correlation between such blocks is above a prespecified threshold, the two blocks are considered as clones. Various cluster validity indexes evaluate the cluster's results from two aspects: compactness and separation measures. The fuzzy clustering algorithm with the expected value uses the merging algorithm to get separated clusters. The merging algorithm based on distance function. The distance function is not a good indicator to a separation measure. The clusters may be separated but these clusters are overlapped. This paper proposes a modified merging algorithm of fuzzy clustering with expected value (MCFEV). The MCFEV algorithm uses a similarity measure to merge overlapping clusters and to get the optimal number of clusters. The MCFEV algorithm is compared with the fuzzy c means (FCM) and possibilistic clustering algorithm (PCA) in the numerical examples and the real applications. A fuzzy cluster validity index (XB) is estimated for the above clustering algorithms. It starts by segmenting the ECG signal into blocks; each has 1024 samples. Then, DPCM approach is adopted by removing the redundancy between successive samples. So, residual signal of QRS-complex like waveform without the presence of P-, T- and U-waves is generated. Then the first QRS-complex like wave is isolated and all the succeeding ones are subtracted from the preceding ones. The next process depends of on application. For telediagnoses, the resulting residual signal is wavelet transformed while for telemonitoring both the first QRS-complex like wave and the residual signal are wavelet transformed. In both cases the resulting wavelet coefficients are thresholded based of on energy packing efficiency and coded using modified run-length algorithm. The performance of the proposed algorithm has been tested on records extracted from MIT-BIH arrhythmia database. However, the position which a word is located inside the HTML tags indicates its importance in the web page. This research proposes two ideas concerning the Feature Selection stage in HTML web pages. The first idea reduces the features by simply extracting them from the important tags in an HTML page in order to achieve faster classification. The second idea gives weights for each of the important tags. Two algorithms are presented in this paper based on these ideas: i) Important HTML tags only algorithm, ii) Weighted Important HTML tags only algorithm. The selected features are classified using two famous classifiers in the literature: Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Naïve Bayes classifier (NBC). The accuracy of each algorithm is computed. Comparison between the accuracies of traditional feature selection method, which uses the whole contents of HTML page, and the proposed algorithms is performed. Complete evaluation is performed which indicates the effectiveness of using our technique. The experimental results show improved precision and recall with the proposed algorithms with respect to keyword-based search. This paper focuses on recommending popular places based on behavior of Global Positioning System (GPS) traces to multiple users. Collecting different reviews of popular places from multiple visitors is an explicit way to help Recommender System to rate these places. A Genetic Algorithm is used in predicting the interest of the user for unvisited locations, based on implicit and explicit ratings. Then, Recommender System sorts the rated places in descending order by their rates. The places that have the highest rates in most number of users are recommended by the system. Collaborative Recommender system advises the user to go to the best place via mobile according to other users' preferences in places and the nearest place from user's location. In the present work the phenomenon of secure communication with chaos masking has been investigated and implemented by using Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) and Advanced RISC Machine (ARM) processor. The higher dimensional chaotic system has been used rather than low dimensional chaos system because it has more parameters and more complex attractors than regular chaotic system which makes the system is strong in secure data transmission. A signal masking technique based on eight-dimensional chaotic system is proposed which uses hyper chaotic signal as a base carrier signal for audio signal modulation in the transmitter system. The scheme recovers the information signal exactly at the receiver. The simulation investigation shows that the proposed model has the characteristic of sensitive dependence on initial conditions which leads to a large key space. The proposed algorithm is then implemented by hardware and the analysis for depending on variation of initial conditions is investigated.
