The proposed algorithm is based on a simplified PCNN called Intersection Cortical Model (ICM). By using the output images of ICM, we can ratify that the pixel position corresponds to Salt and Pepper noise. Then, a selective median filter is used for suppressing the Salt and Pepper on noisy pixels. The performance of the proposed method is tested by simulating different impulsive noise densities. Simulation results show that method's effectiveness is bigger than conventional median filter noise suppression, the results are represented by the parameter Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR).","PeriodicalId":226698,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Mechatronics, Electronics and Automotive Engineering (ICMEAE)","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114859231","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This knowledge is useful in order to not exceed its limit of elasticity that means, to avoid permanent deformations, which can totally modify the performance of the system. In this paper, theoretical and simulated results of the normal stress generated in the folded beams of an accelerometer, under constant acceleration, are presented. The system under analysis has a suspended mass by means of four flat beams. The analysis was realized considering a cantilever, because this element is used as beam of support. A uniformly distributed load is present on the suspension beams. In simulations, 1g (9.81 m/s2) was applied to several accelerometers with different dimensions and geometries, with the purpose of observing that the normal stress should not exceed the elastic limit of silicon.","PeriodicalId":226698,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Mechatronics, Electronics and Automotive Engineering (ICMEAE)","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126592994","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed method is divided in two simultaneous control actions: the first one helps to stabilize the vertical position while the second one is used to do the same both the horizontal position and the angle. While the first controller uses a simple feedback-linearization by using saturation functions that assign a quasi-linear behaviour of the vertical movement, the second controller is based on a suitable backstepping procedure, which is developed to force the remaining variables to converge to the origin. Performance is tested by numerical simulations while convergence analysis is based on Lyapunov's method.","PeriodicalId":226698,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Mechatronics, Electronics and Automotive Engineering (ICMEAE)","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123548158","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As proposed in the literature, the feedback of the multibody tracking error improve the performance of the multibody ZMP, which is now tested for this sliding-mode-based generator. A bounded disturbance in the multibody model was considered also to test the robustness of the techinque. Tunning complexity issues of the robust generator are also discussed.","PeriodicalId":226698,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Mechatronics, Electronics and Automotive Engineering (ICMEAE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130852737","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

García-Hernández","doi":"10.1109/ICMEAE.2015.43","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/ICMEAE.2015.43","url":null,"abstract":"The Smart Grid concept has been conceived as the integration of the electrical grid (generation, transmission and distribution) and the communications network of an electric utility. Although, traditional communications interfaces, protocols and standards has been used in the electrical grid in an isolated manner, modern communications networks are considered as the fundamental enabling technologies within a Smart Grid environment. Emerging communications technologies, protocol architectures and standards can help to build a common communications network infrastructure for data transport between customer premises, power substations, power distribution systems, utility control centers and utility data centers. The Smart Grid will support traditional applications such as supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA), distribution automation (DA), energy management systems (EMS), demand site management (DSM) and automated meter reading (AMR), etc., as well as new applications like advanced metering infrastructure (AMI), substation automation (SA), microgrids, distributed generation (DG), grid monitoring and control, data storage and analysis, among others. To make this possible, the Smart Grid requires a two-way wide area communications network between different dispersed areas, from generation to consumer premises. An AMI system uses communication technologies for smart meter reading several times a day to get data consumption of electricity, as well as sending outage alarm information and meter tampering almost in real time, from the meter to the control center. Currently, there are various communication technologies to implement AMI systems. This paper presents an overview of the most relevant communications technologies that can be used to implement AMI communications infrastructure such as neighborhood area networks (NAN), field area networks (FAN) and wide area networks (WAN) using different transmission media such as fiber optics, spread spectrum radio frequency, microwave, WiMAX, Wi-Fi, ZigBee, cellular, and power line carrier. In addition, a review of the current state of progress in the implementation of various AMI projects around the world and the desired state for projects completion by the year 2020 is also presented.","PeriodicalId":226698,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Mechatronics, Electronics and Automotive Engineering (ICMEAE)","volume":"72 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125959746","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
