Perceived values of workplace are analyzed and discussed here with respect to an individual, organization or interactive perspective. Major thrust of this study was to examine impact of perceived significance of workplace values towards effective management especially in Pakistan, as these define the working methodologies and way an entity works. We used secondary data including published articles and relying on provided theories by the prior authors, we carried out conceptual analysis to support our arguments. After conceptual analysis, it is found that there are differences in perceived importance of workplace values and there needs to have a balance between the importance of workplace values for smooth and effective operations. The study has some limitations as it is conceptual in nature, but it provides ample amount of theoretical iimplications for future researchers. Furthermore, as it consists of secondary data, the research is about perceived importance of workplace values with employees and organizational perception and their impact on both.","PeriodicalId":226115,"journal":{"name":"Review of Applied Management and Social Sciences","volume":"84 6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121930953","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the transformational leadership framework, this research looks at innovative behavior as a decisive variable in Pakistan's IT industry. People are influenced by transformational leadership because it creates a vision, builds morale, and motivates them. Employee turnover is reduced when leaders use the transformational leadership style; such leaders inspire people, listen to them, and find solutions to their problems; as a result, employee satisfaction is increased. The study also examines knowledge sharing as a mediator and the two moderators' organizational identification and learning goal orientation. Both moderators can enhance the effectiveness of knowledge-sharing on innovative behavior. The convenience sample technique was used in this cross-sectional study. Overall, 679 questionnaires were distributed for data collection, with 391 being selected for analysis since these questionnaires contained the most appropriate and complete information necessary for the study's analysis. After gathering data from the 391 respondents, the data was evaluated using the most up-to-date tools for determining model fitness. The findings of this study show that transformational leadership polishes innovative behavior with knowledge sharing serving as a mediator. But when employee organizational identification and learning goal orientation are strong, the results show that knowledge sharing bridges the gap between transformational leadership and employee innovative behavior. Theoretical and managerial implications are discussed in this manuscript.","PeriodicalId":226115,"journal":{"name":"Review of Applied Management and Social Sciences","volume":"95 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116153116","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Operational rescue workers have to face extended duty hours, harsh behavior of crowds at the incident places, and less leisure time for themselves and their family members. In contrast, non-operational workers do not directly respond to emergencies. So, this study aimed to determine how operational and non-operational rescue workers cope with daily stressors. Furthermore, the study also aimed to test the correlation between different coping strategies among rescuers. For this purpose, a cross-sectional survey was conducted using cluster sampling techniques among 199 rescuers from nine districts in Punjab, Pakistan. Data was collected using the Brief COPE scale (Carver, 1997) and analyzed using correlation and t-test. Results of this study show that the mean scores of non-operational and operational rescue workers are significantly different from each other on \"Problem-focused Coping,\" \"Emotional Coping,\" and \"Avoidance Coping.\" Likewise, \"Problem-focused Coping\" is negatively correlated to \"Emotional Coping\" and \"Avoidance Coping.\" The study concludes that rescue workers who have \"Problem-focused Coping\" strategies are less likely to use \"Emotional Coping\" and \"Avoidance Coping\" strategies. Moreover, operational rescuers are less likely to use \"Problem-focused Coping\" and more likely to use \"Emotional Coping\" and \"Avoidance Coping\" strategies; however, non-operational rescue workers use coping strategies in vice versa.","PeriodicalId":226115,"journal":{"name":"Review of Applied Management and Social Sciences","volume":"121 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116831288","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Foreseeing the popularity of Islamic finance, the current study intends to explore the relationship between Islamic financing and economic growth. To entertain the objectives, the study used data of United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, and Indonesia for the years 1980-2018. The ARDL approach to co-integration was used in order to obtain the empirical results for exploring the relationship between the Industrial Production Index, Islamic banks deposits, Islamic bank financing, gross fixed Capital formation, trade openness, government expenditures, and inflation. Industrial production index is taken as a proxy of growth that represents real sector growth. Study findings illustrated a strong positive relationship between industrial production indices, Islamic bank deposits & financing, gross fixed capital formation and negative significant relation with trade openness in the study period. Whereas, government expenditure has insignificant relation and inflation has shown negative relation. It is recommended that Islamic banks should design their deposit instruments in terms of long-run. The Islamic banks may follow the path of conventional banking in this regard. Deposit’s negotiable certificates should be issued similar to the conventional banks.","PeriodicalId":226115,"journal":{"name":"Review of Applied Management and Social Sciences","volume":"66 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133387787","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the recent era of digitalization, the youth especially college students are addicted to various social media apps such as Facebook, Tik Tok, Twitter, Whats app, and Youtube. This younger age bracket used digital media to watch violent-based entertainment content, pornographies, and video games. Aligning this,cross-sectional survey research design was conducted in the four registered colleges of Layyah, Pakistan. A total sample size of N=263 respondents was selected through a de-facto method. Questionnaire was used as a tool for the data collection process. The responses of the participants were gathered and analyzed through SPSS Version-21. The findings of the study revealed that the younger students above the age of 18 years i.e. n=157 (59.7%), who belonged to the nuclear family system(n=123, 46.8%), had low parental education (n=53, 20.2%), and had a family income of ?30,000PKR (n=96, 36.5%) were more involved in the usage of social media apps which proliferates their violent behavioral conduct. Moreover, playing violent video games (n=210, 79.8%), watching action-based movies (n=217, 82.5%), destruction of someone's possessions (n=164, 62.4%), and watchinga person shooting (n=177, 67.3%) were the major parameters that played an imperative role in amplifying the violent behavior among college students. In conclusion, to share carrier goals, information, innovations, and methods of expression, students used social media sites for various action-based audio-visual content. The vigilance provided by the parents along with college administration and teachers can help to mitigate the role of social media in proliferating violence among youth in the study context.","PeriodicalId":226115,"journal":{"name":"Review of Applied Management and Social Sciences","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131094625","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
