Worldwide, prevalence rate of PCOs among women is reported to be more than 70% which is increasing day by day. Therefore, the main objective of our study was to examine the effect of PCOs on HR-QoL among young women and to explore the moderating role of proactive coping strategies between PCOs and Health Related Quality of life. For this purpose, 200 outdoor diagnosed patients of PCOs were selected by using purposive sampling techniques, from different hospitals in Islamabad. They were requested to complete three sets of questionnaires, namely, PCOs symptom questionnaire, WHOQoL- BREF, for measuring Health Related Quality of Life and Proactive Coping Inventory. Percentage and Regression analyses was performed to assess effect of PCOs on health related quality of life and the moderating role of proactive coping strategies. Findings revealed that the mean age range of participants as 22.04.  Majority of them have done matriculation (60%, n= 121) and were employed (79%, n=159). Following Regression Analysis, results showed that PCOs had a significant negative impact upon HR-QoL (p<.05). Findings also revealed that high score on PCOs symptom checklist negatively affects the Health Related Quality of Life (?= .030, p>.05). Furthermore, proactive coping strategies and reflective coping strategies had insignificant role in PCOs as p<.05 whereas Strategic Planning and Preventive Coping appeared to have a significant moderating role between PCOs and Health Related Quality of Life (p>.05). Overall, The presence of PCOs adversely impacts the HR-QoL of young adults. It predominantly affects psychological and social well-being rather than bodily working.","PeriodicalId":226115,"journal":{"name":"Review of Applied Management and Social Sciences","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126990825","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research employs the dynamic common correlated effect (DCCE) method for the period from 1995 to 2021. The findings show that coefficients for RENR, TINO, TR, and EG are all statistically significant, indicating their significant positive long-term impact on the mineral resource demand. Increases in RENR, TINO, TR, and EG are associated with positive changes in the outcome variable over the long term. However, the coefficient of INTERM has a significant negative influence on the mineral resource demand in the long run. The findings provide valuable insights into the dynamic interrelationships between the model's variables. Policymakers should focus on policies that promote and enhance RENR, TINO, TR, and EG, as they positively influence the outcome variable in the long run. Additionally, policymakers should be cautious of the potential negative effects of changes in INTERM on the mineral resource demand over the long term and carefully assess policies affecting this variable. \u0000 ","PeriodicalId":226115,"journal":{"name":"Review of Applied Management and Social Sciences","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127801157","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It determines the success and usefulness of a citizen in a society. The civic sense consists of both civic knowledge and civic practices. The students’ civic knowledge or self-perception of civic sense improves their civic practices in the community. This paper describes constructing and validating the Civic Sense Scale (CSS). This scale is prepared to measure students’ civic knowledge and civic practices. Generalized Structural Component Analysis (GSCA) technique is applied in this study. This scale was administered to 1200 Federal Government Educational Institutions students studying in 10th grade in Pakistan. A total of 1196 students out of 1200 students responded to the questionnaire. The data was collected from students through a stratified sampling technique. Both self-perception and civic practices on civic sense consisted of 45 items. There were 23 and 22 items on Civic Sense Scale on self-perception and civic practices, respectively. The reliability indicator Cronbach’s alpha and Rho were observed to be more than 0.7. Likewise, the construct validity, convergent and discriminant validity measures were in acceptable ranges. These show that Civic Sense Scale (CSS) is highly recommended to measure civic sense and its practices in the educational setting. Initially, this study was limited to secondary school students in Federal Government Educational Institutions of Pakistan.","PeriodicalId":226115,"journal":{"name":"Review of Applied Management and Social Sciences","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115949147","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Pakistan has to meet SDGs till 2030, among which the 5th goal is empowering women and gender equality. We have to find the correlates that affects the empowerment of a woman to empower them. For this purpose, the current study was designed. A large sample of 12339 married women aged between 15 to 49 years was taken from PDHS 2017-18. The status of women empowerment was evaluated by formulating an index (ranged from score 0 to 10) by taking the 8 dimensions of women empowerment namely, woman’s decision making autonomy, digital inclusion, educational status, employment status, ownership of house, self-esteem, consent in choosing husband and her inclusion in financial sectors. The extent of women empowerment is observed at urban and rural areas. For analysis, ordered logistic regression technique was applied by using SPSS-23. It was concluded that as compared to women of urban areas, the women belonged to rural areas were less empowered. The disaggregated analyses showed that the determining factors of women empowerment were affecting in similar way in both urban and rural areas, except that of BISP which was increasing women empowerment in rural areas but not in the urban areas.","PeriodicalId":226115,"journal":{"name":"Review of Applied Management and Social Sciences","volume":"26 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139366817","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Despite its prevalence, prior research has paid limited attention to examine how consumer personality and product-related factors affect counterfeit consumption in these countries. The current research aims to investigate how consumer innovativeness, consumer materialism, and price-quality inference influences purchase intentions of counterfeits (PIC). It also investigates the mediating role of attitude toward counterfeits (ATC) to strengthen the model.The data, collected from a convenience sample of310 consumers, was analysed using structural equation modelling. The results show that while consumer innovativeness and materialism positively effect ATC and PIC, price-quality inference has a negative impact on ATC and PIC. This research contributes to counterfeit consumption research by uncovering the role of both personality- and product-related factors in counterfeit consumption. These findings would be useful for manufacturers and marketers of original brands in devising appropriate strategies to combat purchase of counterfeit brands.   ","PeriodicalId":226115,"journal":{"name":"Review of Applied Management and Social Sciences","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132637213","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The nations of the World have developed various commitments to reduce global warming. The transportation sector share is above twenty percent in total global Greenhouse Gas emissions which is continuously rising over time. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) in its recent report conducted a scenario analysis and suggested reducing net emissions by 2050. The transport competitiveness index indicates the quality and expansion of transport services. Accordingly, this research study uses the data of 121 countries for which transport competitiveness is documented by the World Economic Forum (WEF). The period of the study is confined to 2008-2018. The sample countries are segregated into four groups on the basis of transport sector emissions. The study uses Panel Quantile Regression (PQR) framework to estimate results and to validate the industrial Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC). The findings indicate that transport competitiveness mitigates transport sector emissions in the majority of groups/categories. Inverted U shape industrial EKC has been  authenticated in group-1 and U shape industrial EKC for the other three groups. The moderation of transportation competitiveness specified the flattening of industrial EKC across all quantile groups. The empirical findings indicate that moderation results in the sustainability of industrial EKC at higher levels of industrial growth. Among other variables, the governing ability of institutions and planned population expansion are observed in mitigating emissions. The policy options are discussed depending on the results of the groups.","PeriodicalId":226115,"journal":{"name":"Review of Applied Management and Social Sciences","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121821432","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
