The power converter requires a special circuit configuration and control techniques to compensate the wide voltage variation because the output of fuel-cell has broad voltage ranges. So the proposed converter integrates a buck converter with a push-pull converter to be suitable for the fuel-cell as an input source. In addition, to increase the system efficiency each converter employs an auxiliary circuit for zero-voltage and zero-current switching. Operational principle is given in detail. The validity of the proposed fuel-cell powered converter is verified by experiments based on a 1 [kW] grid-connected prototype.","PeriodicalId":225101,"journal":{"name":"2007 International Symposium on Signals, Circuits and Systems","volume":"12 7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-07-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125640550","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed algorithm ensures a satisfying trade-off between precision and computational time, in other words, it ensures a good efficiency when compared to other deterministic algorithms and also stochastic ones. The results are compared in terms of precision and computational time with those of other basic algorithms, such as the basic block-matching and Horn & Schunck algorithm. The results are illustrated on CT medical image sequences.","PeriodicalId":225101,"journal":{"name":"2007 International Symposium on Signals, Circuits and Systems","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-07-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127114535","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

From the synthesis results, it has been observed that the parallel systolic architecture (PSA) has a better overall resource utilization based on the area-delay product and power-delay product. The area-delay product of the PSA is 40% lesser than the parallel retimed broadcast architecture (PRBA) and almost one-third that of the unfolded direct and broadcast form parallel architectures for filter order, N = 8 and L = 8. Moreover, it exhibits better area-delay products for higher N. The power-delay products of PSA are marginally higher than PRBA, but one-fourth of the unfolded direct and broadcast form parallel architectures. The four parallel architectures have been implemented on Virtex-II 1000 device (XC2V1000BG575-4) and Virtex-II 8000 device (XC2V8000FF1152-4) for filter orders 8 and 32 respectively.","PeriodicalId":225101,"journal":{"name":"2007 International Symposium on Signals, Circuits and Systems","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-07-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121385220","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we propose an efficient and accurate method for detecting moving objects in a video sequence. Motion information is used to detect primitive object candidates, so global motion and optical flow estimation is the first step in this algorithm. The estimation is done with our proposed method which is a modification of Horn-Schunck method. The proposed method for optical flow estimation is very fast and needs less iterations than does the original one (Horn-Schunk). Those areas which have different motion from global motion, according to efficient criterion, are marked as object candidates. The spatial information is used to extract the final object. The experimental results show the efficiency and accuracy of proposed algorithm.","PeriodicalId":225101,"journal":{"name":"2007 International Symposium on Signals, Circuits and Systems","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-07-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116951357","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
