Many of the problems identified have received in-depth studies analytically and experimentally. The paper outlines the significant progress achieved in the formulation of a generalised site shielding procedure and more generally in the modelling of urban radiowave propagation for use in radio system planning and coordination.","PeriodicalId":225072,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of 1995 SBMO/IEEE MTT-S International Microwave and Optoelectronics Conference","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1995-07-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134644882","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The via is modeled by a lumped RLC equivalent circuit that takes into account the skin effect in the cylindrical conductor. In the analysis of the transmission line part, a new skin effect model accounting for the time dependent losses is included. A mathematical interface is established between discrete time domain solutions and a lumped element RLC circuit. Numerical results show reasonable response due to the through hole via.","PeriodicalId":225072,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of 1995 SBMO/IEEE MTT-S International Microwave and Optoelectronics Conference","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1995-07-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122221717","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

From the latter the E-fields generated by a vertical interstitial antenna in the surrounding medium can be descended with almost analytic accuracy. This allows fast evaluation of the injected power distributions versus frequency, medium parameters and antenna geometry. The result is of major interest in applications such as the microwave hyperthermia that is a reliable technique in the therapy of localised tumours.","PeriodicalId":225072,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of 1995 SBMO/IEEE MTT-S International Microwave and Optoelectronics Conference","volume":"57 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1995-07-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126019656","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A narrow bandwidth filter (less than 0.2%) using two different interdigital transducers (IDTs), working on two different harmonic frequencies, was designed and fabricated by the R&D Centre of Telebras. A description of the design and the fabrication are summarized and measurement results of the SAW filter are shown.","PeriodicalId":225072,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of 1995 SBMO/IEEE MTT-S International Microwave and Optoelectronics Conference","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1995-07-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124549854","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Yet no general theory has been made for modeling the bends of other transmission lines, such as the coplanar waveguide. A model was derived for general circular transmission lines, based on a quasi-static approximation. This model was applied to a circular coplanar waveguide. Measurement of the latter showed good agreement with the model.","PeriodicalId":225072,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of 1995 SBMO/IEEE MTT-S International Microwave and Optoelectronics Conference","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1995-07-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124602023","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
