One of the disasters that needs serious attention in coastal areas, including the coast of Jakarta, is coastal inundation. However, there is no integrated coastal inundation prediction system implemented in this area. This study aimed to build a model of coastal inundation by combining various factors, namely hydrodynamic model, wave model, and river model. The model used in this research is the integration of the Delft3D model, the WaveWatch III-SWAN model, and the SOBEK model. The results show that the simulation of the water level was in accordance with the observed data, from 30 November to 8 December 2017 during the supermoon period with a correlation accuracy of 0.9 and RMSE of 5.9 cm. However, the results of the simulation and astronomical tide prediction have a correlation of 0.81 and an RMSE is 13.6 cm. Therefore, it can be seen that the model is better than the astronomical tide prediction. The hydrodynamic model shows that Jakarta Bay has a water level range of 0.66 to 0.68 m during the supermoon period. The mapping of flood inundation areas show that the water level in the Tanjung Priok and Marunda in North Jakarta has a maximum inundation level of 50 to 100 cm with an inundation area of 272.17312 and 456.03653 m 2 . Meanwhile, our analysis for the Ancol and Kalibaru shows an inundation level of 0 to 30 cm with an inundation area of 388.04358 and 169.17656 m 2 . Our model provides better accuracy because it takes into account several important variables for modeling coastal inundation. Our early warning system proved to be accurate in providing coastal inundation prediction information for the North Jakarta area.","PeriodicalId":22259,"journal":{"name":"Terrestrial, Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.8,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69523854","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"地球科学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Such underfit stream features are unusual in tectonically active areas such as Taiwan. In this research, we hypothesize that the relative sea level change since the end of the last glacial period might be the main factor driving the formation of this type of landscape on the relatively recently emerged Taiwan Island. The Gangkou River is among the largest and most pristine rivers on the Hengchun Peninsula, and well-preserved river terraces and bedrock exposures occur along the river and river mouth. Therefore, the Gangkou River was thoroughly surveyed to investigate the factors shaping the landscape and to determine the landscape evolutionary history. Our research indicates that the average uplift rate of the Gangkou River is 1.5 - 1.7 mm yr -1 . Because of the low uplift rate, the rising sea level after the last glaciation caused widespread aggra-dation in the Gangkou River. At approximately 8.0 - 7.7 ka, maximum flooding oc-curred, and the sea level subsequently remained stable, while the aggradation stopped after 7.1 ka. Incision followed, forming the high terraces, and starting in the Little Ice Age, repeated aggradation and incision occurred, forming the low terraces. These processes produced the current landscape of the Gangkou River. Overall, the uplift rates calculated from this research are relatively low in this tectonically active area.","PeriodicalId":22259,"journal":{"name":"Terrestrial, Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.8,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69524068","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"地球科学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The gravity observations covered all the main islands of Indonesia. This paper presents a state-of-the-art for gravity anomalies derivation using airborne gravity mission in Java, Indonesia. The common gravity corrections for deriving the scalar free-air gravity anomalies along the flight trajectory had been estimated using GNSS-derived positions. The corrected data were then filtered using the FIR method in which the cut-off frequency had been predetermined by considering aircraft altitude, geological setting, and instrument’s accuracy. To assess the airborne gravity results, we compared them with the upward continued terrestrial gravity measurements. In addition, we performed crossover analysis and adjusted the estimated biases to the airborne gravity measurements. The accuracy of adjusted airborne gravity anomaly was estimated to 3.37 mGal. In conclusion, the airborne gravity mission provided valuable data needed for further geodesy and geophysics applications","PeriodicalId":22259,"journal":{"name":"Terrestrial, Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.8,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69524222","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"地球科学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Seismic data transverse to wedge-top zone show the asymmetric and symmetric folds, along with blind thrusts and back thrusts. Seis-mic data parallel to the axis of the wedge-top zone show the volcanic features of poor stratified reflectors, forced fold and intrusive step of volcanic sills along and away from dominating normal fault structures. Since the volcanic extrusions and normal faults are probably associated events, we suggest that post-collisional extensional volcanism northern offshore Taiwan was probably formed along inherited primary and secondary fault structures. The wedge-top zone was formed at frontal part of the early Taiwan orogenic wedge in Late Miocene. Subsequent change of regional stress from convergence to extension led to the mountain collapse as well as primary and secondary normal faults. Thus, these post-collisional normal faults are mechanically weak, probably capable of providing pathways for the Pleistocene-present vol-canisms northern offshore Taiwan. The facilitation of post-collisional fault structures as transportation routes for deep material to migrate along may be important for the formation of the Quaternary volcanism extrusions northern offshore Taiwan.","PeriodicalId":22259,"journal":{"name":"Terrestrial, Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.8,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69525227","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"地球科学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
