To this end, the relevant literature was reviewed and observations were conducted in the region. In addition, SWOT analysis was used to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the region, in terms of alternative tourism, as well as opportunities and threats. However, in recent years there has been increased competition and the tourists’ demands that have contributed to development of alternative forms of tourism, also in continental part of Croatia. The city of Vukovar, as the battlefield of one of the largest battles in Europe after the World War II, after its peaceful reintegration in the Croatian territory (1997), became the Croatian national memorial place. Even though tourism is not among the leading economy branches in Vukovar, due to its recent past, memorial tourism based on memorial sites from the Croatian Homeland War (1991-1995) could be developed. Memorial tourism is a form of cultural tourism with a supply based on memorial sites - places of important events, in this case the places of suffering and tragedies. As main research objectives can be pointed out: a) the analysis of the characteristics of tourist flow and accommodation facilities in Vukovar after the end of the Croatian Homeland War and its reintegration into the Croatian territory and b) analysis of the Vukovar local population’ attitudes on the possibilities of the development of memorial tourism based on heritage from the Croatian Homeland War. The local population attitudes were detected by a direct questionnaire survey at several locations in the center of Vukovar. In addition to descriptive statistics, statistical analyses were conducted to determine the differences in the respondents’ attitudes (the dependent variable) with regard to gender, average age, level of education and nationality (independent variables). Particularly in the mountain villages, where health, communication and transportation services have not been sufficiently utilized, the inclination to migrate has been continuing at an escalating rate for individuals in the working age, leading to the collapse of socio-cultural and economical structure. In the mountain villages, there is a need for new sustainable fields of business operable within the four seasons of the year that do not require costly investments and an educated workforce; provide business opportunities to local women; contribute to preservation of the socio-cultural structural, natural and cultural heritage;cause no concretion and land consumption. In this study, development of proposals is aimed to conduct rural tourism in Ulukışla-Madenköy, a location possessing the qualities to provide an ideal four seasons accommodation and logistic support to any kind of activity made by the domestic and foreign visitors of Bolkar mountains during their arrivals and departures.As a research method \"SWOT\" and \"Resources and Physical Condition\" analysis techniques were used. Studies were mostly conducted through site researches. Proposals were developed for development of Madenköy through implementation of sustainable rural tourism in this area. The results clearly demonstrate that Madenköy possesses the qualities to create a high level demand in four seasons from the viewpoint of the tourists. Within these municipalities, the National Park encompasses 26 inhabitated rural areas, some totally and some partially. Inhabitants of these areas have been practicing primary activities so far. The valleys of the upper reaches of the Una, as well as the valley of the Unac, both coming into the area of the Una National Park represent a unique nature unity in Bosnia and Herzegovina, very important for preserving its total natural diversity. The National Park abounds with a rich heritage in a cultural-historical point of view as well. Cultural heritage represents any concept or a thing, natural or artificial, considered being esthetical, historical or spiritual important (ICOM). Inclusion of the cultural heritage goods into the programmers of protected area represents also post-admission obligation of the European Union's members. It means that sustainable development of the Una National Park is unthinkable without inclusion of the cultural heritage goods into the all tourism development plans. However, cultural heritage contributes to attractiveness of a certain touristic destination, and so it is often precondition for the touristic choice. Adjusting to the measures and lifestyle inside a specific category of nature protection is a challenge that these areas will have to face in the coming period. In order to achieve national tourism targets not only in the number tourists but also in revenue, activities are needed to lengthen stay periods and increase revenues. Such activates are only possible through mainly the touristic products attracting and integrating with all tourism types and presenting local and native cultural elements, emphasizing uniqueness and accurateness. Such activities may increase tourist satisfaction, the share locals get from revenues, the adoption rate of tourism by locals and their pleasure. Erzurum has faced in recent years some slight increase in the number pf tourist due to various types of tourism potentials e.g. winter, history – culture, nature – adventure and health and well – being. Nearly 50 thousand foreign and 340 thousand domestic tourists visit the city staying only one or two days. In order to increase the contribution of tourists to the city, length of their stay should be increased. Therefore, preparation and implementation of a city activity plan through the participation of all local actors including mainly municipalities. Maybe, only a simple plan involving pilot activities is planned. As in all parts of Anatolia, Erzurum city shelters several values to serve as touristic products. It hasvery valuable tourism motives (natural and anthropogenic). Statistical indicatorsshows a positive trend of tourism development during the last decade. It is therefore very important to analyze tourist motives and their importance for the development of tourism. Tourist motives are the main supply holders. The significance of a motive is determined by various criteria which in most cases involve the assessment of several elements: attractiveness, rarity, usefulness and accessibility. However, the tourism value of motives is largely reflected through impressions of tourists. Travel experience is especially important element of tourism which affects the affirmation of destinations in the world and encourages tourism trends. The research problem is the identification and evaluation (valorisation) models of motives in Sarajevo determining their significance.The research is quantitative and qualitative. Research methods are: general-theoretical (analysis and synthesis,comparing, classification);empiric (field work and observation, survey, measuring);identification, evaluation, Likert method. The aim of the paper is to determine the actual tourism value of the motives for better planning of tourism supply. Of particular importance are the results of tourist assessments of the motives because the ultimate goal is to achieve the satisfaction of tourists and positive echo of the destination in the world. It consists of identifying existing promotional techniques and finding new promotion techniques from hotel managers using the interviewing method as a research method. Over time, some hotel promotion techniques have been used to attract tourists, and these techniques have been used depending on the hotel's classification category, depending on the target market to which it is targeting, and the budget allocated to promote the hotel product. Therefore, in this research project, we will analyze the most applicable, cost-effective promotional techniques used by the managers or representatives of the hotels in Braşov through a semistructured interview made up of several questions to which interviewees will respond freely and precisely. In this project were identified the basic aspects of the research topic, the questions that come to respond to what was to be determined by the research, as well as the objectives subsequently identified. The results of the promotional actions adopted by the Braşov hotels aim to attract new customers and keep old ones, addressing directly to target customer categories as well as to the travel agency network. Also, the general public is not neglected.
