With dispersed distributions of power, it is more difficult to create and maintain pockets of bureaucratic effectiveness to drive successful industrial policy. This is the case in Nigeria. There has, however, been no research into the involvement of its premier anti-corruption agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), in industrial policy enforcement. The article identifies this phenomenon through news reports and proposes avenues for empirical research and policy experimentation. The EFCC has, over years, been involved with development loan recoveries, local content policy enforcement and infrastructure contract enforcement. These have often been at the invitation of the relevant implementing agencies which often display inundation with the enforcement challenge. Its substantial investigative and prosecutorial capabilities acquired from anti-corruption activities in a highly corrupt country have made it a key agency for others to call when help with enforcement is needed. There are some indications of propositions to institutionalize or regularize the EFCC’s involvement in local content policy and infrastructure contract enforcement, but no serious attention has been paid to these in the literature or news circles.","PeriodicalId":219226,"journal":{"name":"Advances in Politics and Economics","volume":"30 3‐4","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-06-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141381119","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the field of international relations, Prospect Theory is of great significance to the study of decision-making of international actors. This paper combines the overall framework of Prospect Theory, based on the relevant theoretical doctrines of geopolitics, and sets the risk perception and potential benefit seeking of the two parties as independent variables, and the decision-making behavior and strategic choices of the two parties as dependent variables. By analyzing the behavioral patterns of the participants in the conflict and exploring their “hedging” and “speculative” behavioral choices, we can better understand their decision-making process and perhaps provide valuable insights into their search for a peaceful solution.","PeriodicalId":219226,"journal":{"name":"Advances in Politics and Economics","volume":"76 12","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-03-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140375960","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Furthermore, the establishment of a rule of law culture is crucial for preserving ethnic unity, augmenting the sense of national identity, and facilitating the grand rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Currently, minority regions face challenges including the attenuation of religious fervor, economic limitations imposed by legal frameworks, and a deficiency in initiatives aimed at nurturing a legal culture. In response to these issues, it is imperative to galvanize public enthusiasm under the Party’s guidance and spearhead the development of a rule of law culture through grassroots social governance, thereby addressing the prevailing challenges in the advancement of legal culture within ethnic communities.","PeriodicalId":219226,"journal":{"name":"Advances in Politics and Economics","volume":" 570","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-03-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140382928","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In a large number of financial practices, a large number of special phenomena that are inconsistent with standard financial theory have emerged. Behavioral finance is premised on the assumption of irrational people, and herd behavior is a relatively special irrational behavior. It refers to the behavior of investors who are influenced by other investors when the information environment is uncertain, imitate other people’s decisions, or rely too much on public opinion without considering their own information. Sheep behavior is a related behavior involving multiple investment entities, which has a great impact on the stability and efficiency of the market, and is also closely related to the financial crisis. Therefore, herd behavior has attracted widespread attention from academia, investment and financial supervision.China’s capital market started late. In 1990, the Shanghai Stock Exchange was established, marking the birth of China’s stock market, the distribution of market investors have changed again and again, unchanged is that the behavior of investment subjects has a strong similarity, at the same time, China’s fund market has persistent fluctuations.Whether there is a causal connection, this paper will focus on the development of China’s fund market, use LSV model and VAR test method to test and analyze the fund and stock trading data of Shanghai and Shenzhen from the first quarter of 2017 to the first quarter of 2022, and empirically study whether there is significant herd behavior in China’s open-end funds. On this basis, the impact of stock investment herd behavior on stock price volatility is empirically studied.Finally, according to the research conclusion, from the three aspects of investor investment rationality, the effectiveness of capital market and the optimization of market structure, suggestions on how to reduce the impact of the herd effect and the healthy and sustainable development in the future.","PeriodicalId":219226,"journal":{"name":"Advances in Politics and Economics","volume":"43 5","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-03-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140076968","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

China and Southeast Asian countries, adhering to the principle of extensive consultation, joint contribution, and shared benefits, have made significant achievements in political consultation, economic cooperation, cultural exchanges, environmental protection, and other aspects. In the new international political and economic situation, both sides are facing challenges from factors such as intervention from foreign powers, political uncertainty within ASEAN countries, competition for economic development space, and misunderstanding and concerns about China’s rise. Nevertheless, China and ASEAN are geographically connected by mountains and rivers, historically by humanities. With the RCEP implemented and the RMB regionalized in ASEAN, cooperation between China and ASEAN in emerging fields such as the digital commerce and green energy will see more benefits. Despite various initiatives taken by the government, the number of road accidents continues to increase, highlighting the need for a legal approach to address this issue. This study aims to analyze the current legal framework in Bangladesh with regards to road safety and identify potential areas for improvement. The study found that the current legal framework in Bangladesh contains several provisions aimed at promoting road safety, including the Bangladesh Road Transport Act, the Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation Act, and the Bangladesh Road Transport Authority Act. However, these laws lack effective enforcement mechanisms, and there is limited accountability for those who violate traffic rules. This has led to widespread flouting of traffic regulations and a high incidence of road accidents. The study recommends the introduction of stricter penalties for those who violate traffic rules, including fines and imprisonment. It also suggests the establishment of an independent road safety commission to monitor compliance with traffic rules and to ensure effective implementation of road safety measures. The commission should have the authority to investigate road accidents and to take appropriate actions against those found responsible persons. Additionally, the study recommends the introduction of mandatory training programs for all drivers and the provision of better infrastructure and technology to support road safety. This may include the installation of traffic lights and speed cameras, as well as the use of innovative technologies such as GPS-based monitoring systems. In conclusion, a legal approach is crucial in addressing the problem of road accidents in Bangladesh. By introducing stricter penalties, establishing an independent road safety commission, and investing in road safety infrastructure and technology, the government can help to reduce the number of road accidents and save lives. Further research is needed to understand the impact of these measures and to identify additional ways to promote road safety in Bangladesh.","PeriodicalId":219226,"journal":{"name":"Advances in Politics and Economics","volume":"2 2","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135934410","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
