The (SEM) of glass composite powders, showed a smooth surface with a chance of forming very few voids, clusters and blisters on the surface of the sample, which increased with the increase of the weight fractions of the filled powder. While the composites filled with carbon powders show smooth and free from micro-cracks with the chance of formation of some flakes on the surface, whereby, as the weight concentrations of powders rise, transform to rough surface with micro-cracks and voids which revealing that the surface was porous. The results also showed that adding these powders to the epoxy resin has an effect on the thermal conductivity of the prepared composites, implying that there is a direct relationship between the thermal conductivity as a function of the weight ratios of the reinforcing materials, as the thermal conductivity values increase with the increase in the weight ratios for all samples, but differ from one reinforcement to another, with the highest value being at a weight ratio of (60 wt %), which raised the conductivity by (34.511%±0.031) and (26.488%±0.045) for glass and carbon composites, respectively, in comparison to pure epoxy resin. The results also revealed that the thermal conductivity of epoxy glass composites is greater than that of carbon composites at all reinforcing material weight fractions.","PeriodicalId":218143,"journal":{"name":"Al-Bahir Journal for Engineering and Pure Sciences","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135671133","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Some of the reported pharmacological activities include antioxidant, anti-in fl ammatory, and antiviral. Cadmium is a toxic metal that can cause both hearts and testicular damage and its major mechanism is oxidative stress. Objective: Therefore, this study was done to investigate the effect of I. cairica leaf extract (ICE) against cadmium chloride-induced hearts and testicular damage in Wistar rats. Materials and Methods: Twenty male Wistar rats were divided into 4 groups of 5 animals each. Group I: Control (administered distilled water), Group II (administered 35 mg/kg CdCl2 intraperitoneally), group III (orally administered 100 mg/kg ICE and CdCl2), group IV (orally administered 100 mg/kg, I. cairica and CdCl2). Animals were sacri fi ced via cervical dislocation 24 h after the last administration. The hearts and testes were collected and processed for biochemical assays. Biochemical assays evaluated were Malondialdehyde (MDA), reduced glutathione (GSH), catalase (CAT), superoxide dismutase (SOD), and Glutathione-S-transferase (GST). Results: Results showed that Cd exposure signi fi cantly increases the level of MDA, decreased the concentration of GSH (non-enzymatic antioxidant), and decreased the activity of CAT, SOD, and GST (enzymatic antioxidants). Treatment with ICE prevented the alteration of redox status by CdCl2, as observed in the signi fi cant decrease in MDA concentration, and increase in GSH concentration when compared with the animals in the untreated groups. In addition, treatment with I. cairica also caused a signi fi cant increase in the activity of CAT, SOD, and GST as compared to the untreated group (P < 0.05). Conclusions: In conclusion, I. cairica extract was protective against cadmium-induced oxidative damage in rat hearts and testes. This activity can be linked to the presence of antioxidant phytochemicals present in the plant.","PeriodicalId":218143,"journal":{"name":"Al-Bahir Journal for Engineering and Pure Sciences","volume":"500 ","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120884002","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Textual content is one type of data that is commonly found on these platforms, and it has been shown to have a signi fi cant impact on decision-making processes at the individual, group, and national levels. One of the most important and largest part of this data are the texts that express human intentions, feelings and condition. Understanding these texts is one of the biggest challenges that facing data analysis. It is the backbone for understanding people, their orientations, and making decisions in many cases and thus predicting their behavior. In this paper, a model was proposed for understanding texts that written by people on social media platforms, and hence knowing people ' s attitudes within speci fi c topics, the emotion of those people, positivity, negativity, and neutrality. Also, it extracts emotion of those people. In this context, the system solves many tasks in natural language processing therefore it uses many techniques including topic classi fi er, sentiment analyzer, sarcasm detector and emotion classi fi er.
