Method: Vage Ortho Uv orthodontic adhesive was used in this experiment. Under constant frequency (50Hz), the applied magnetic field was used at two different intensities (fixed at 0.01T and 0.05T) for 5 minutes each. Using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR-ATR), the degree of conversion (DC%) and polymerization kinetics were assessed. Results: There was a clear improvement in the results when compared to the control, the DC% mean tends to increase as MF increases starting at 0.05T. Conclusions: The DC% of the Vega ortho Uv assessed orthodontic adhesive is influenced by the MF. Uncured orthodontic adhesive that has been exposed to MF for five minutes improves the changed bond angles or causes bond elongations, both of which would cause molecular deformation.","PeriodicalId":218143,"journal":{"name":"Al-Bahir Journal for Engineering and Pure Sciences","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136241693","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Creating composites involves adding plant or wood fibers as fillers to a polymer matrix. This study used mahogany and mango wood sawdust as reinforcement materials, while high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) were used as matrices. The investigated data in this study comprises four different (10, 20, 30, and 40) weight percentages (wt%) of mahogany and mango sawdust paired with corresponding wt% (90, 80, 70, and60) of HDPE and PVC matrices. The extrusion method produced composites with different amounts of sawdust and polymer matrices. Wood polymer composites were characterized by examining their mechanical properties, and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was employed to analyze their morphology. The results showed that the maximum tensile strength was obtained from the 20% for both sawdust composites. The ultimate tensile strength was recorded at 15.28 MPa for Mahogany sawdust-HDPE (Mh-HDPE) composite, whereas the Mahogany sawdust-PVC (Mh-PVC) exhibited the lowest tensile strength at 2.38 MPa. In addition, HDPE-based composite shows higher tensile strength (11.56 MPa) with Mango sawdust than PVC-based composites (2.28 MPa). Tensile strength, and impact strength of the fabricated composites were also assessed by ASTM standards. The maximum impact strength was obtained at 10wt% of sawdust for all four composites investigated in this study. It was also observed that impact strength significantly decreased with the increase of fiber percentage in the composite. These results demonstrated the highest mechanical properties of the Mh-HDPE than the other composites, which SEM further investigated. The morphological analyses confirmed uniform mixing of sawdust and polymer matrices, evident by the absence of no pores, cavities, or voids in the prepared composites.","PeriodicalId":218143,"journal":{"name":"Al-Bahir Journal for Engineering and Pure Sciences","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135621347","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The present work employed the Tanh method to solve the Burgers-Huxley nonlinear partial differential equations. In contrast to previous results with complicated and laborious solution characteristics, this method is accurate, efficient, and requires little computational work. In showing this, we solved four Burgers-Huxley case study problems using the Tanh approach and obtained the exact solution. The solutions of the four cases were presented graphically. In addition, the findings demonstrate that the Tanh method is an effective and robust approach for constructing the exact solution of nonlinear differential equations.","PeriodicalId":218143,"journal":{"name":"Al-Bahir Journal for Engineering and Pure Sciences","volume":"251 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135999288","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The acousto-optic properties of the temperature-stable layered structure TeO 3 /SiC/128 o Y-X LiNbO 3 are investigated through theoretical analysis. This analysis includes the evaluation of key parameters such as the overlap integral, fi gure of merit, and diffraction ef fi ciency. The SAW propagation characteristics and fi eld pro fi les required for these calculations are obtained using SAW software. Results show that the layered structure has high diffraction ef fi ciency of nearly 96% and a promising value for the acousto-optic fi gure of merit, indicating potential use in low driving power acousto-optic devices. The study concludes that the 3C e SiC-based layered structure possesses excellent acousto-optic properties and has potential for use in acousto-optic devices that can withstand harsh environmental conditions.","PeriodicalId":218143,"journal":{"name":"Al-Bahir Journal for Engineering and Pure Sciences","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130644217","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The (SEM) of glass composite powders, showed a smooth surface with a chance of forming very few voids, clusters and blisters on the surface of the sample, which increased with the increase of the weight fractions of the fi lled powder. While the composites fi lled with carbon powders show smooth and free from micro-cracks with the chance of formation of some fl akes on the surface, whereby, as the weight concentrations of powders rise, transform to rough surface with micro-cracks and voids which revealing that the surface was porous. The results also showed that adding these powders to the epoxy resin has an effect on the thermal conductivity of the prepared composites, implying that there is a direct relationship between the thermal conductivity as a function of the weight ratios of the reinforcing materials, as the thermal conductivity values increase with the increase in the weight ratios for all samples, but differ from one reinforcement to another, with the highest value being at a weight ratio of (60 wt %), which raised the conductivity by (34.511% ± 0.031) and (26.488% ± 0.045) for glass and carbon composites, respectively, in comparison to pure epoxy resin. The results also revealed that the thermal conductivity of epoxy glass composites is greater than that of carbon composites at all reinforcing material weight fractions.","PeriodicalId":218143,"journal":{"name":"Al-Bahir Journal for Engineering and Pure Sciences","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128087191","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
