Starting with the discrete form of the time derivative of features related with camera velocity through image Jacobian matrix and taking into account the discrete robot model, a new approach for computing the predictions is introduced. By means of a cost function based on errors in image plane, convergence of robot motion has been obtained through nonlinear constraint optimization, which takes into consideration the visibility loss of features due to camera motion. Using a visual servoing simulator, the predictive strategy was successfully tested.","PeriodicalId":217373,"journal":{"name":"2009 7th IEEE International Conference on Industrial Informatics","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-06-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133657134","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The problem is NP-complete and no deterministic algorithm is known to date. In this paper we develop a deterministic method based on DC (Difference of Convex functions) programming and DCA (DC optimization Algorithms), an innovative approach in nonconvex programming framework. We first formulate the PP as a concave minimization programming problem. Then, we show how to apply DC programming and DCA for the resulting problem. Numerical results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm is promising: its is very fast and can efficiently solve the Perceptron Problem with large sizes.","PeriodicalId":217373,"journal":{"name":"2009 7th IEEE International Conference on Industrial Informatics","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-06-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117274543","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To investigate business risk factors under uncertain business environment, cause-effect interpretation of business factors along with time is significant for decision-makers. Business factors are represented either qualitatively or quantitatively. Our proposed simulation model involves such aspects with structural model representation and generates possible scenarios by using Monte Carlo simulation. However, possible scenarios as probability distribution of target factors inherently involve risk scenarios and non-risk scenarios from decision-makers point of views. Identifying risk factors still resorts to decision-makers without computational analysis support on derived outputs. Therefore we propose a finding method of business risk factors on target models.","PeriodicalId":217373,"journal":{"name":"2009 7th IEEE International Conference on Industrial Informatics","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-06-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116765150","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Firstly, a method that does not require in-depth models or sophisticated external sensors is described. Such a method does have its disadvantages such as requiring tuning on the part of the operator to work correctly. Therefore, the paper also describes a new method that plans where the manipulator should contact the object such that the surface area of contact is maximised. It has been shown that it is possible for the pre-planned method to gain a grasp that is significantly better than the reactive method and overcomes the shortcomings of a particular robotic manipulator configuration.","PeriodicalId":217373,"journal":{"name":"2009 7th IEEE International Conference on Industrial Informatics","volume":"95 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-06-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123219481","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research will apply some specific real logistics company's operating data to study the Inventory-Routing problem. This study first develops a mathematical model for this Inventory-Routing problem, next applies Savings method, 2-opt heuristic method and 1-1 λ -interchange method to obtain the initial feasible solution, finally implements insert_move Tabu search method and swap_move Tabu search method to find the optimal solution. The numerical examples are illustrated to acquire the optimal total inventory routing cost, the optimal delivery routes, the related economic order quantities, the optimal service levels, the reorder points for the retail stores delivered in these proposed routes. The results show this model can be successfully applied in Inventory-Routing problem in a very efficient way. Finally, the performance of this proposed hybrid heuristic approach is compared with Savings method, Heuristic approach, and the current routing planning implemented by this specific logistics company. Accordingly, the outcome of this study is very promising in many aspects and should be helpful to this logistics company for its future planning of the distribution system.","PeriodicalId":217373,"journal":{"name":"2009 7th IEEE International Conference on Industrial Informatics","volume":"68 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-06-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123381894","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Additionally, different assembly sections of the automation system, e.g. heating, ventilation, and lighting, are integrated in such a building automation system. Besides this complexity, engineering standards and aspects of energy efficiency are to be considered within the Requirement-Elicitation phase. Therefore, modelling of the requirements for decentralized building automation systems, which are to be planned, requires a huge effort. The software support is on a low level within today's Requirement-Engineering phase. This allows to optimize the engineering process in building automation. The whole engineering process can benefit from an “intelligent” software-based Requirement-Engineering.
