At times, authors of creative texts adapt juridical elements in the form of minor details, or broad thematic bases, so as to create convincing fictional realities. Alternatively, they use the same aspects to comment on socio-juridical problems in an ambiguous or ironic fashion. This study focuses on the history of these processes and, specifically, on certain key examples in the works of Miguel de Cervantes, seen in relation to multiple legal documents, including a late sixteenth-century manuscript that details punishments for erotic crimes.","PeriodicalId":216765,"journal":{"name":"Admiración del mundo\n Actas selectas del XIV Coloquio Internacional de la Asociación de Cervantistas","volume":"206 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123556673","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

La ironía y la parodia en las novelas cervantinas como respuesta al género picaresco 塞万提斯小说中的讽刺和戏仿作为对流浪汉流派的回应

Irony and parody are not exclusive to the Cervantine novel, even to the picaresque novel, although they make here one of their first great appearances in the genre of the novel. Which is crucial for the latter’s development and subsequent consolidation. Irony is a search for a new way of understanding literature. In the present work, an analysis of one of the positions that Cervantes adopts before the competition and stimulation that the morphological proposals of picaresque, from Lazarillo to Guzmán, through his novels, from the praise to freedom, is intended of the picaresque life of the illustrious mop; the moment in which Rincon and Cortado laugh at the devotion of the brotherhoods of Monipodio thinking that they would be saved from their crimes, or from the linguistic mistakes of the brothers; against the digressions of the Guzman in the mouth of Cipión, or the mere conversion of the rogues into dog-men, without forgetting the words of Ginés de Pasamonte about autobiography.","PeriodicalId":216765,"journal":{"name":"Admiración del mundo\n Actas selectas del XIV Coloquio Internacional de la Asociación de Cervantistas","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130963965","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

His last will and testament intend to ensure that his posthumous renown shall not be limited to his quixotic ill fame, rather that his present anti-chivalric stance shall make his pre-quixotic sanity memorable, as well as that of his last moments (deserving thus the honourable name of Alonso Quijano el Bueno). The analysis of the testament’s provisions (mandas) reveals the extent to which this common desire informs all of them.","PeriodicalId":216765,"journal":{"name":"Admiración del mundo\n Actas selectas del XIV Coloquio Internacional de la Asociación de Cervantistas","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134638404","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The translations, which vary according to whether one or the other reading is adopted to rectify the princeps edition, can be grouped in two lines: one shared by Schevill, Bonilla and Medina; the other, which departs from Eijo and Garay, appears in Rodríguez Marín, and reaches Sevilla and Rey Hazas. Astrana Marín offered an explanation for the textual difficulties. But there was another solution: that of José Vallejo, which Miguel Herrero echoed in his edition. In this article, I explain why the latter seems preferable today.","PeriodicalId":216765,"journal":{"name":"Admiración del mundo\n Actas selectas del XIV Coloquio Internacional de la Asociación de Cervantistas","volume":"79 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128199016","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Cervantes y la escritura de senectute (en torno al Viaje del parnaso) 塞万提斯和塞内克图特的写作(围绕帕纳索斯之旅)
Pedro Ruiz Pérez
{"title":"Cervantes y la escritura de senectute (en torno al Viaje del parnaso)","authors":"Pedro Ruiz Pérez","doi":"10.30687/978-88-6969-579-7/018","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.30687/978-88-6969-579-7/018","url":null,"abstract":"This article applies the critical concept of de senectute writing, coined by Rozas, to Lope’s work, in the analysis of Viaje del Parnaso as the axis of a cycle and an authorial posture. It starts from the textual references to the old age in this autobiographical fiction and its creative environment. These are related to a sense of melancholy, which also connects the Viaje character with the attitude of the author. This attitude manifests itself in the revision of his work and life; a revision through which Cervantes contemplates the literary field, and sorts the narrative movement of the text. The round trip reveals his intent to recover a lost splendour, which materialises on the lyrical level in Naples, and is evoked, in the epic, with Lepanto, both key moments in Cervantes’s biography. Following the features pointed out by Rozas, this study shows that those features are present in the Cervantine cycle before they make their appearance in Lope.","PeriodicalId":216765,"journal":{"name":"Admiración del mundo\n Actas selectas del XIV Coloquio Internacional de la Asociación de Cervantistas","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122953956","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

By means of this triple function of interlacing, Cervantes distances himself from his triple intertextual model (the two Orlandos and Amadís), to lay the foundations for a new way to conceive narrative.","PeriodicalId":216765,"journal":{"name":"Admiración del mundo\n Actas selectas del XIV Coloquio Internacional de la Asociación de Cervantistas","volume":"65 11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133737104","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Motivos quijotescos y metaficción cervantina en el «Tríptico del carnaval» de Sergio Pitol 塞尔吉奥·皮托尔的《嘉年华三联画》中的吉诃德主题和塞万提斯的元小说

They have neglected, however, the aesthetic debt that the Mexican writer owes to Miguel de Cervantes. This kind of influence can be seen not only in the quixotic topics recreated in Pitol’s production but also in his metafictional conception. This article offers an approach to the narrative series called “Tríptico del carnaval” – perhaps the most popular by Pitol – and explains some of Cervantes’s metafictional strategies, such as the breaking of the fourth wall, autobiographical fiction, and parodic intertextuality.","PeriodicalId":216765,"journal":{"name":"Admiración del mundo\n Actas selectas del XIV Coloquio Internacional de la Asociación de Cervantistas","volume":"56 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114797874","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Autentificando el discurso de la verdad en El casamiento engañoso y El coloquio de los perros 在欺骗婚姻和狗的谈话中验证真理的话语

{"title":"Autentificando el discurso de la verdad en El casamiento engañoso y El coloquio de los perros","authors":"Miguel Ángel Zamorano Heras","doi":"10.30687/978-88-6969-579-7/025","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.30687/978-88-6969-579-7/025","url":null,"abstract":"In Casamiento-Coloquio, the opposition between the narrator’s discourse and the discourse of the characters plays with a minimal initial presence and a total final absence of the authorised narrator’s discourse, and with the progressive emergence of characters eager to narrate their own lives, and impose their voice over the frame story – whose power is none other than to regulate and qualify their interventions, – thus leaving them with complete freedom. By situating the enigma of the intrigue of both stories, the miracle of two talking dogs, in a fictional possible not authenticated by the authorised narrator but, paradoxically, by a shady character like the witch Cañizares, Cervantes executes the most complex and astonishing technical pirouette possible. For by means of establishing the absence of an authority in the ordering of the story (an authority from which the ever-reassuring promise of a single version emanates), he makes possible the diverse perspectives offered by the characters with their stories and, with that, he sets off the impossibility of deciding on the truth of the related events.","PeriodicalId":216765,"journal":{"name":"Admiración del mundo\n Actas selectas del XIV Coloquio Internacional de la Asociación de Cervantistas","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124347607","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
