The current spike in Phyto-nanotechnology is due to its potential to address the challenges of global food security. Nanoparticle (NP) uptake and translocation in plants are relatively well studied. From the Nano-Agri products like biosensors and nanocarriers to the acceleration of adaption of plants towards changing climate, NPs hold a bright future for next-generation agriculture. However, despite significant progress, commercialization of nanotechnology in agriculture struggles because regulations and legislations regarding Nano-based Agri-inputs are limited and non-specified. Several countries have not yet issued guidelines for the evaluation of Nano-based Agri-inputs and food products. Also, the mechanisms of interaction of NPs with plants and humans are not well understood. Therefore, the commercial application of Nano-based Agri-inputs in field conditions warrants the completion of proper safety and toxicological analyses. This review summarizes the current status of Phyto-nanotechnology with a discussion on present hurdles and possible solutions.

Even with heart\u0000disease being the number one cause of death in the US, there are\u0000currently no effective methods of fully regenerating heart muscle\u0000post-myocardial infarction. Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are a\u0000promising therapeutic option given their multi-potent nature and low\u0000host immune reaction. Bioengineered polymeric nanofiber scaffolds\u0000provide a structured growing environment and encourage cell elongation.\u0000Overview: This study characterizes MSC biology on poly-ε-caprolactone\u0000(PCL) nanofiber scaffolds in order to establish electrospun PCL\u0000nanofibers as a working biological scaffold for MSC growth, and to\u0000exhibit potential for further exploration of PCL nanofiber-grown MSC\u0000implants as a treatment for MI. Methods: MSCs were seeded on PCL\u0000scaffolds; cell viability was analyzed via XTT, cell apoptosis was\u0000analyzed via TUNEL/DAPI staining, and differentiation markers were\u0000analyzed via RT-PCR. Results: TUNEL/DAPI staining of confluent MSCs on\u0000PCL scaffolds showed low cell apoptosis over time. RT-PCR results showed\u0000no amplification of CD40 expression. Conclusion: PCL nanofibers seem to\u0000provide a suitable microenvironment for MSC seeding and proliferation.\u0000Further Direction: RT-PCR for CD80, CD86, COL1A1 (collagen), aSMA/Acta2\u0000(smooth muscle), Flk1/VEGF2 (endothelial), Sparc (Osteonectin,\u0000osteogenic), Adipoq (Adiponectin, adipogenic), Agre-cano (chondrogenic).

Our current lab results suggest that decreased H3K79 methylation levels are associated with decreased DNMT1 activity and binding to the WIF1 5’ region, upregulation of WIF1 protein levels, and suppression of Wnt signaling in lung cancer cell lines. We therefore hypothesize that the silencing of the WIF1 gene seen in many lung cancers involves upregulation of H3K79 methylation. We aim to knock down DOT1L and AF10, H3K79me3 mediators, to diminish Wnt expression in non-small cell lung cancers (NSCLCs). NSCLC lines including the A549 and H460 lines will be transfected with shRNAs for DOT1L and AF10; Western blotting will be used to confirm knockdown of DOT1L, AF10, and WIF1 expression. Wnt signaling will be measured by TOPFlash reporter assay, and by western blotting of nuclear β-catenin from total and fractionated cell lysates. We will then measure lung cancer cell growth, apoptosis and senescence.

This is still thought to be caused primarily by exposure to the sun. Patients with malignant melanoma have a wide range of prognoses; however public awareness initiatives encouraging early detection have resulted in considerable reductions in mortality rates. This disease primarily affects Caucasian men and women and has a terrible prognosis once it has spread to other parts of the body. As a result, early detection of this malignancy is critical for patient treatment success.\u0000 In this paper, we present an experimental result of a Melanoma Image Classifier using the VGG16 model for preprocessing the images dataset. Thedataset comprises 4596 image samples with 2239 images for training, 2239 images formodel validationand 118 images for testing the model. The resultant images were trained with a Convolutional Neural Network(CNN) Sequential model of a learning rate of 0.0001,adam optimizer with binary cross-entropy as loss and accuracy as a metric. The model yields an accuracy of 93%, thereby outperforming other Deep learning models. The approach is viable and effective, and it achieves the preliminary goal of classifying melanoma lesion images.

Thecorrelations between Facebook users' interactions and the organic reach of the given content canhelp to gain this aim. \u0000 \u0000 \u0000 \u0000 Methods: We included 1025 non-paid, Facebook posts (N=1025). We collected thefollowing data in the post level. “Organic reach” is the number of people who saw the given non-paid content. The organicreach consisted of “fanreach” and “non-fan reach” according to previous “pagelike” activity. Theinvestigated interaction data was thefollowing: “Facebook reactions” (e.g., “like”); “shares”; “comments”; “clicks”; and “negative Facebook interactions” (e.g.,posthides).\u0000 \u0000 \u0000 \u0000 Results: A significant negative correlation was found between organic reach and “like” reaction. We observed the strongest significant positive correlations of organic reach with “comments”, “haha” and “love” reactions. Furthermore, fanreach correlated positively with “comments”, “haha” and “love” reactions, while non-fan reach correlated positively with “shares” and “clicks”.\u0000 \u0000 \u0000 \u0000 Conclusions: Some interactions on a post level can have higher priority in content ranking: “comments”, “haha”, “love”, and “sad” reactions. This study has shown that “like” reactions and “shares” can have a lower priority in content ranking. Our results suggest that a further categorization to fan-specific interactions (“haha” and “love”reactions, “comments”) and non-fan-specific interactions (“shares” and “clicks”) is needed. Finally, „shares” can generate more non-fans, however, “shares” can result in fewer fans.
