Programming assignments submitted by the students can be automatically assessed using an automated evaluator, which compares a program written by a student with a model program supplied by the instructor in order to evaluate the student's performance. In course of checking equivalence between the two programs, the evaluator sometimes has to determine whether some expression used in the student program assumes the same value as that of the model program or not. Thus, determining equivalence between pairs of expressions is at the core of designing automated evaluators. Emotions expressed by the user is depicted by detecting the facialexpression of the user and accordingly the teaching strategies willbe changed. The present eLearning systems mainly focus on thesingle user face detection. Hence, in this paper, we proposemultiuser face detection based eLearning system using supportvector machine based supervised machine learning technique. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed systemprovides the accuracy of 89% to 100% w.r.t different datasets(LFW, FDDB, and YFD). Although some systems have been built for quiz generation, they mostly focus on abstract logic and mathematical constructs. Knowledge in other domains is relational rather than propositional, and many systems use dedicated knowledge databases. We present a method to present this knowledge in the form of objective question sets and drills. We implement a four-fold approach - ontologies, propositional logic, similarity finding, and hierarchies - as a way to generate quizzes as well as to solve human generated problems of a similar nature. The architecture of this system is such that any knowledgebase can be turned into a vast number of diverse, complex questions. We build this system for an ontology of North Indian Ragas, and also test it on a smaller ontology of animals. Several countries, including India, have created national repositories of high-quality educational videos and related digital content. We have developed a simple open-source tool called ExamLink that allows instructors to enhance such repositories by creating bidirectional links between specific segments of educational videos and specific questions from old examination papers. Our tool exploits such links, allowing students to navigate large video repositories and locate content relevant to particular examination questions, and discover more questions pertaining to the same content. The tool contains a repertoire of components and design functionalities and provides features for aiding learning through experiments. For complex experiments, such as CPU design, the tool provides an interface for specifying the controller abstractly as an algorithmic state machine. A set of techniques has been introduced in the tool for efficient simulation catering to the requirement of the lab. All the experiments can be conveniently conducted on a regular desktop or laptop computer and can be saved with user identification at any point and resumed later. Since these characteristics are cognitive skills towards design and problem solving, ID training should ideally include realworld problems which are diverse and reflect the illstructured nature of ID. This paper investigates the application of the Cognitive Apprenticeship model methods to design a training for novice instructional designers using a Technology-Enabled Learning (TEL) environment comprising a Leaning Management System (LMS) and web-conferencing software on one of the ID competencies, how to capture tacit knowledge from an SME (subject matter expert). A blended synchronous-asynchronous training, TECAID (Technology-Enabled Cognitive Apprenticeship for ID training) was designed for this investigation and implemented for nine novice ID professionals. The difference in self-efficacy ratings and conceptual knowledge of the trained instructional designers was measured along with an evaluation of their ability to perform the skill in a mock interview. The programme has been used to model learner requirement and expectations through technology enhanced and online learning worldwide. Survey data collected from across India is used to identify the predominant sections of users that feel \"e-learning is challenging\" and hence aren't able to engage fully in the e-learning process. Such findings will also have direct bearing on future design of all online learning processes worldwide through Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs). An attempt is also made to identify the causes of this perception and corroborate the same with an analysis of the survey data. Finally, along with the results of the analysis, some suggestions for NPTEL and other online content providers worldwide, following the movement by UNESCO to create Open Educational Resources (OERs), are also given to help them chart their future courses of action. Yet, it is the fact that millions of children from economically weaker section of the society are still facing issues due to lack of quality education. This paper presents a case study on a project aimed at enhancing the Math and Science skills of primary and upper-primary school children at an NGO, which gives shelter to street children and provides them education through government schools and in-house teachers. The project is based on creating interest among children of classes 1 - 7 using technology in a blended learning model and improving learning outcome in these children. As part of the project, teachers of these homes were equipped with animated videos of short stories and practical examples, interactive applications and quizzes to teach concepts through an after school tutoring program.
