Para ello, las autoras delimitarán los conceptos implicados, el alcance en el marco del ordenamiento jurídico español e intentarán demostrar cómo el reconocimiento de la Renta Básica ayuda a aumentar la libertad de decisión de la mujer y, por ende, su mejor posición jurídica en el mercado laboral. Desde luego, con el objetivo de alcanzar una mayor Igualdad al enfrentarse a la promoción profesional, a unas más iguales retribuciones a igualdad de mérito y capacidad y a una entrada en el empleo que no suponga superar los obstáculos de género que, en la actualidad, existen con los estereotipos tradicionales que Mercado Laboral mantiene. But a doubt appears, paralyzing and, for many, disabling: the impression that a proposal like that is impossible to finance reasonably. In this decade, at least two significant attempts to quantify the needs for the implementation of a basic income have been featured in Spain, together by a financially-viable proposal to set up measurement. The first one, Arcarons, Raventós and Torrens (2013 and ff.). The second one, Gimeno (2014 and ff.), with many matches but also some differences. In this article, we recall these two models of financing a basic income in Spain. We will review the main issues and assumptions, we will try to update estimations and we will conclude with possible funding proposals, essentially in continuity of those original proposals. First, a panoramic view of the normative justification of universal basic income is offered: three models that respond to many other conceptions of social justice are presented. The more unconditional the basic income is, the less incentive problems will arise, but it will be more costly. We approximate its costs to the case of Spain, both using a macroeconomic approach and one with micro data. The high cost of the universal basic income implementation requires to limit the number of recipients by income or labour status and, therefore, labour supply and human capital incentive problems could be materialized. Among these, one of the aspects that perhaps has created more controversy is related to the need to implement a basic income taking into account the social protection scheme offered from different public sectors to Spanish citizens in case of real economic need (Social Security benefits and regional guaranteed minimum income policies). In this context, one of the main ideas of the basic income is that it is not intended to respond to situations of effective need, but rather to help citizens to obtain the necessary means to live in dignity. The system currently in force in Spain is unanimously qualified as deficient by complex, heterogeneous, inefficient and bureaucratic; it produces delays in perceptions, induces the trap of poverty, stigmatizes the perceivers and does not reach most of its potencial recipients. The basic income\u0000clearly exceeds all these problems. It is not ignored that it can have others that, except the financial one, are also analyzed in the article.
