To address this problem and to ensure the QoE (quality of experience) of end-users, this paper presents CUBIST, a method and system for high-quality 360-degree video streaming in networks with cache nodes at the edge. To the best of our knowledge, it is the first tile-based edge caching solution that incorporates proactive tile prefetching and hierarchical cache organization into reactive caching to maximize the caching benefit while reducing the cost of 360-degree video streaming. Experimental results show that CUBIST can achieve a cache hit ratio of 87 % and improve the effective video bitrate by 12.9 % with most rate transitions being small when compared with the latest FoV-aware edge caching scheme.","PeriodicalId":213320,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE International Conference on Web Services (ICWS)","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114686577","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the model only considers the order of items in the sequence, not the relative distances, which weakens the relevance between items. To this end, we propose a novel Sequence and Distance Aware Transformer (SDAT) for recommendation systems. Specifically, we first apply the Transformer to handle the interaction between the items effectively. Then, Gated Recurrent Unit can be designed to aggregate information on an item-by-item basis in sequential information, meanwhile, we adopt the attention mechanism to focus on items with smaller time intervals to indicate high relevance. We also add a time gain function to augment the influence weight of recent items. Finally, the processing result of the time information of our integrated items replaces the positional encoding representation of the original Transformer. Extensive experiments on three real-world datasets show that SDAT outperforms state-of-the-art methods.","PeriodicalId":213320,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE International Conference on Web Services (ICWS)","volume":"198 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121153067","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to meet the above characteristics, this paper proposes a certificateless public key encryption with a keyword search (CLPEKS) scheme. In this scheme, a CLPEKS generation method and a Trapdoor generation method are designed to support multiple receivers to query. Based on the elliptic curve scalar multiplication, the efficiencies of encrypting keywords, generating Trapdoors, and testing are improved. By adding a random number factor to the Trapdoor generation, the scheme can resist the internal keyword guessing attacks. Under the random oracle model, it is proved that the scheme can resist keyword guessing attacks. Theoretical analyses and implementation show that the proposed scheme is more efficient than the existing schemes.","PeriodicalId":213320,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE International Conference on Web Services (ICWS)","volume":"57 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124731825","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Considering the shortcomings of CC, edge computing (EC) shifts service execution to the edge, which decreases the execution delay. Due to the storage and computing resource limits of edge servers (ESs), how to dynamically deploy partial services to the edge is still a puzzle. Moreover, the single resource-constrained ES is more vulnerable to attacks, which increases the leakage risk of vehicle privacy. In this article, a method for intelligent IoV service deployment and execution with privacy preservation in cloud-edge computing, named GoDeep, is proposed. Specifically, homomorphic encryption is adopted to construct a privacy-aware mechanism for IoV service execution. Besides, a service deployment scheme based on deep deterministic policy gradient (DDPG) is proposed. Eventually, the performance of GoDeep is evaluated by the simulation experiments.","PeriodicalId":213320,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE International Conference on Web Services (ICWS)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125679145","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Most approaches focus on low-level SLOs, closely related to resources, e.g., average CPU or memory usage, and are usually bound to specific elasticity controllers. We present SLO Script, a language and accompanying framework, motivated by real-world, industrial needs to allow service providers to define complex, high-level SLOs in an orchestrator-independent manner. The main features of SLO Script include: i) novel abstractions (StronglyTypedSLO) with type safety features, ensuring compatibility between SLOs and elasticity strategies, ii) abstractions that enable decoupling of SLOs from elasticity strategies, iii) a strongly typed metrics API, and iv) an orchestrator-independent object model that enables language extensibility. We present a case study about a real-world, cloud-native application and evaluate our language while implementing a realistic Cost Efficiency SLO.","PeriodicalId":213320,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE International Conference on Web Services (ICWS)","volume":"69 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126407470","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The functionalities of IoT devices are encapsulated as IoT services, and their collaboration is implemented in terms of IoT service composition. Considering the capacity occupancy, release, and consumption caused by the implementation of IoT services, their composition is challenging in capacity-dynamically fluctuating IoT networks. This paper proposes a dynamic IoT service composition mechanism with inter-service dependencies adopted to capture the dynamic changes of IoT devices, and this change is specified by various Quality-of-Service factors. IoT service composition is formalized under Computation Tree Logic specification with certain composite structures and dynamic dependencies, and this composition is formally achieved by an optimized model checking method. Extensive experiments are conducted on publicly available datasets, and evaluation results show that our technique outperforms the state-of-the-art's approaches in relevant performance metrics.","PeriodicalId":213320,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE International Conference on Web Services (ICWS)","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115306550","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This sensed data (e.g. social network posts) can be hosted in social-sensor clouds (i.e. social networks) and delivered as social-sensor cloud services (SocSen services). These services can be identified by their providers' social network accounts. Attackers intrude social-sensor clouds by cloning SocSen service providers' user profiles to deceive social-sensor cloud users. We propose a novel unsupervised SocSen service provider identity cloning detection approach, NPS-AntiClone, to prevent the detrimental outcomes caused by such identity deception. This approach leverages non-privacy-sensitive user profile data gathered from social networks to perform cloned identity detection. It consists of three main components: 1) a multi-view account representation model, 2) an embedding learning model and 3) a prediction model. The multi-view account representation model forms three different views for a given identity, namely a post view, a network view and a profile attribute view. The embedding learning model learns a single embedding from the generated multi-view representation using Weighted Generalized Canonical Correlation Analysis. Finally, NPS-AntiClone calculates the cosine similarity between two accounts' embedding to predict whether these two accounts contain a cloned account and its victim. We evaluated our proposed approach using a real-world dataset. The results showed that NPS-AntiClone significantly outperforms the existing state-of-the-art identity cloning detection techniques and machine learning approaches.","PeriodicalId":213320,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE International Conference on Web Services (ICWS)","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121607814","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
