Data were collected in three stages, through vignettes and in-depth individual interviews, audio-recorded and submitted to thematic analysis. The theoretical framework adopted was Christophe Dejours' Psychodynamics of Work.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>three topics emerged, revealing that the concept of presenteeism was not known among participants, but they recognized themselves experiencing presenteeist behaviors due to physical or psychological problems that, in some way, affected quality of work. {"title":"Analysis of the SOFA score, quick-SOFA, and SIRS criteria in burn patients with infection.","authors":"Francielli Mary Pereira Gimenez, Lucienne Tibery Queiroz Cardoso, Gilselena Kerbauy, Tiemi Matsuo, Cintia Magalhães Carvalho Grion","doi":"10.1590/0034-7167-2024-0111","DOIUrl":"10.1590/0034-7167-2024-0111","url":null,"abstract":"<p><strong>Objectives: </strong>to evaluate the SOFA score, qSOFA, SIRS criteria, and risk factors for hospital mortality in burn victims with suspected infection admitted to an intensive care unit.</p><p><strong>Methods: </strong>a retrospective longitudinal study conducted at a public hospital between January 2017 and January 2020. We analyzed sepsis diagnostic scores at two time points: hospital admission and date of infection.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>of the 279 patients analyzed, 251 developed an infection. Among these, 145 had a positive SIRS score at the time of the burn, and 112 remained positive at the first documented infection. The SOFA score increased in 187 patients following the burn injury, and 34 remained positive at the time of infection.</p><p><strong>Conclusions: </strong>the scores on the dates of burn injury and infection did not show variations in SIRS or SOFA compatible with sepsis diagnosis. To verify the association between risk categories and alert scores, the chi-square, Kruskal-Wallis and likelihood ratio tests (p<0.05) were used.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>patients stratified in the red category had higher NEWS2 and NEWS Age (<0.0001) than the others. Data collection was carried out through semi-structured interviews, and the IRaMuTeQ® software was used for data processing, specifically for lexical analysis.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>the advantages of in-person education include the opportunity to clarify doubts, a close relationship between professors and students, and content enrichment through debate. The advantages of remote education include flexibility in location and schedule, reduced expenses, and less time spent in traffic congestion. Descriptive analysis and calculation of the incidence rate by health macro-regions of the state were performed.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>of the 853 municipalities, only 381 (44.7%) reported some immunization error, totaling 2,724 reports. The incidence of errors reported in the state was 7.8/100 thousand doses applied, with the Vale do Aço macro-region (14.4/100 thousand) having the highest incidence. Data were analyzed using IRAMUTEQ software. Content Validity Index (CVI) and Cronbach's alpha were calculated.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>a total of 32 professionals participated, mostly nurses with experience in simulation. Theoretical analysis and interviews led to the initial model; semantic analysis refined it; and validation produced the final version.
