Lima","doi":"10.33233/fb.v7i3.1898","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.33233/fb.v7i3.1898","url":null,"abstract":"Objetivo: Avaliar a capacidade aerobia estimada, atraves do teste de caminhada de 6 minutos (TC6), juntamente com a analise da funcao pulmonar em mulheres com Lupus Eritematoso Sistemico (LES). Metodos: Participaram do estudo 17 pacientes do sexo feminino, com idade entre 16 a 50 anos, tempo de doenca superior a 12 meses. Todas as pacientes preencheram os criterios de classificacao do American College of Rheumatology para LES e se encontravam na fase inativa da doenca, constatada pelo indice de atividade da doenca (SLEDAI). A avaliacao pulmonar foi feita com base em parâmetros de funcao pulmonar e a capacidade submaxima ao exercicio pela aplicacao do TC6. Resultados: Na funcao pulmonar pode-se observar que a Pressao Expiratoria Maxima e a Capacidade Vital Forcada apresentaram valores inferiores, com alteracao significativa de 23,57% e 33,3% respectivamente, quando comparados a valores preditos. A Pressao Inspiratoria Maxima e o Pico de Fluxo Expiratorio, nao apresentaram alteracao estatistica. No TC6 os valores obtidos foram inferiores aos preditos, media de 46,26%. Conclusao: Analises da populacao estudada demonstram que mulheres com LES apresentam um condicionamento fisico limitado, contribuindo para niveis baixos de atividade aerobia, o que pode ser constatado por valores inferiores no TC6 e nos testes de funcao pulmonar. Sua etiologia basica ainda e desconhecida, mas sabe-se que dentre os possiveis fatores causais, o fator endocrinologico e o principal determinante. Este trabalho teve como objetivo avaliar os efeitos obtidos no tratamento da estria atraves da galvanopuntura, verificando possivel reparacao do tecido e melhora da aparencia estetica da area afetada. Para isso, foi realizado um estudo de caso em um voluntario do sexo feminino, 25 anos, apresentando estrias atroficas, de coloracao branca, na regiao externa do quadril e da coxa. Foi realizada biopsia da pele estriada, antes e apos o tratamento, a fim de verificar possiveis alteracoes histologicas decorrentes do estimulo oferecido pela associacao da corrente continua filtrada e o estimulo fisico da agulha. Os resultados obtidos atraves de microscopia otica mostraram uma epiderme mais espessa, maior quantidade de fibroblastos, fibras colagenas e elasticas, e maior numero de vasos. Conclui-se, portanto, que houve reparacao da pele apos o tratamento, com consequente melhora do aspecto cutâneo da regiao. The stretch mark is defined as an acquired atrophy of the skin, characterized by thinning, wrinkling, dryness, flaccidness and loss of hair. Its basic etiology is still not completely known, but it is understood that, among the causes, the endocrinous activity is a determined factor. This study had the objective to evaluate the effects obtained by the galvanic-puncture, observing the possibility of tissue repairing and esthetic appearance improvement of the affected area. To observe this a case study was made on a feminine volunteer, 25 years old, presenting white stretch marks in the external area of hips and thighs. A biopsy of the stretched skin was made, before and after the treatment with the galvanic-puncture, verifying possible histological alterations resulting from the impulse of the direct current in association with the needle's physical impulse. The obtained results, viewed by optical microscopy, showed a dense epidermis, higher quantity of fibroblasts, collagen and elastic fibers, and more blood vessels. Method: This is a cross-sectional and descriptive study that evaluated patients diagnosed with cancer and undergoing chemotherapy using Doxorubicin, Bleomycin, Vinblastine, Dacarbazine, Cyclophosphamide, Fluorouracil and Vincristine, being excluded those diagnosed with lung cancer. Realized pulmonary function test byspirometric analysis (EasyOne®, Switzerland) in patients who started chemotherapy for over 30 days, it was evaluated the Forced Vital Capacity (FVC), forced expiratory volume in one second FVC (FEV1), forced expiratory flow between 25-75% of FVC (FEF25-75 %) and the FEV1 / FVC Relation before the chemotherapy session. Results: Sample (n = 18) composed of cancer patients with average age of 49.28±9.90 years and 26.49±5.67 kg/m2 on which 44.4% had normal spirometry standard, 27.8% had OLD, 16.7% presented RLD and 11.1% presented mixed respiratory disorder. Methods the study is a cross-sectional crossover and participated in this research one hundred one (101) healthy subjects 71 women and 30 men. The slow vital capacity (SVC) was measured using a spirometer and TMF was evaluated by vowel “a”;, the phoneme “s”; and “z”; and the manner of counting numbers. Results there was significant correlation between the SVC (ml) and TMF (a, s, z) and technique of counting with r * respectively (0.420, 0.442, 0.399, 0.279) with a p-value <0.05 in total population. There was a positive correlation between the slow vital capacity and the variables /a /, /s /, /z / and technique of counting for females, according to values of r * (0.296, 0.334, 0.326, 0.320) respectively and p-value < 0.05 . Metodo: Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa realizada com pessoas \u0000portadoras de neoplasia pulmonar avancada que se encontravam internadas no Hospital de Messejana Dr. Carlos \u0000Alberto Studart Gomes, em Fortaleza-Ceara, onde foi aplicado um questionario com cinco questoes norteadoras em \u0000dez pacientes. Resultados: A partir da analise dos dados, emergiram tres categorias distintas: a tristeza e sofrimento \u0000ocasionados pela doenca; as limitacoes e incapacidades fisicas no cotidiano; e a atuacao da fisioterapia em relacao \u0000aos cuidados paliativos. Gait analysis using videos captured by digital cameras requires validation. OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the validity of a method that involves the analysis of videos captured using a digital camera for quantifying the temporal parameters of gait in toddlers with normal motor development and children with CP. METHOD: Eleven toddlers with normal motor development and eight children with spastic hemiplegia who were able to walk without assistive devices were asked to walk through a space contained in the visual field of two instruments: a digital camera and a three-dimensional motion analysis system, Qualisys Pro-Reflex. The duration of the stance and swing phases of gait and of the entire gait cycle were calculated by analyzing videos captured by a digital camera and compared to those obtained by Qualisys Pro-Reflex, which is considered a highly accurate system. RESULTS: The Intraclass Correlation Coefficient (ICC) demonstrated excellent agreement (ICC>0.90) between the two procedures for all measurements, except for the swing phase of the normal toddlers (ICC=0.35). The standard error of measurement was less than 0.02 seconds for all measures. CONCLUSIONS: The results reveal similarities between the two instruments, suggesting that digital cameras can be valid instruments for quantifying two temporal parameters of gait. The handgrip strength test is widely used, however little has been investigated about its reliability when used in elderly with dementia and the right stage wich its use should be avoided. Objectives: To evaluate the test-retest reliability of the handgrip strength test in elderly with different ratings of dementia. Method: The cognitive function of 76 elderly subjects with dementia was measured, and the caregivers were interviewed to allow classification by the Clinical dementia rating (CDR). For these assessments the Mini-Metal State Examination and the Pfeffer, Lawton, and Katz scales were used. Twenty subjects were classified as borderline (83.4± 5.8 years), 19 as mild (82.4±6.8 years), 19 as moderate (85.8±5.6 years) and 18 as severe dementia (84.0±5.1 years). Handgrip strength was assessed with a JAMAR hydraulic dynamometer and after one week it was reevaluated. Reliability was analyzed by Intraclass Correlation Coefficient (ICC). The significance level was set at α=0.05. Results: Test-retest reliability was excellent for groups with borderline (ICC=0.975; p=0.001), mild (ICC=0.968; p=0.002), and moderate (ICC=0.964; p=0.001) dementia. The analysis of the group with a severe CDR showed no statistical significance and a low ICC (ICC=0.415; p=0.376). Conclusion: The handgrip strength test has excellent reliability when used in elderly with borderline, mild, and moderate dementia, which enables its use in research.
