Vibration analysis is most accurate and reliable technique of CBM to reveal the condition of device or element. In this technique, fault can be diagnosed by analysing the vibration data acquired from accelerometer. Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) has emerged as one of the most widely used methodology in application of pattern recognition and acoustic data analysis. In this paper, CNN is used as back-end classifier for bearing fault detection. Vibration data is collected for three different conditions of bearings i.e. normal condition, inner race fault and outer race fault. Statistical features are extracted from vibration data and used as input to CNN classifier. Convolution filters are learned by training CNN and are used to detect the unique features for each condition of bearing. The obtained accuracy shows that CNN is very reliable and effective technique for bearing fault diagnosis. It exhibits good performance compared to peer algorithms.","PeriodicalId":208028,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Circuit ,Power and Computing Technologies (ICCPCT)","volume":"147 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116500902","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Removal of noise in an efficient way is a big challenge for researchers. In this paper, one dimensional signal denoising based on weighted regularized least square method is mapped to two dimensional image denoising. The proposed technique of image denoising based on least square is experimented on standard images sub-jected to different noises with varying noise levels. The effectiveness of the proposed method of image denoising is compared against the recently pro-posed sparse banded filter based image denoising technique. The comparison is done based on standard metric called peak signal to noise ratio(PSNR). The experimental result analysis shows that the proposed technique of least square image denoising outperforms the recently proposed sparse banded fil-ter based image denoising. The advantages of the proposed method are sim-ple computation and fast processing.","PeriodicalId":208028,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Circuit ,Power and Computing Technologies (ICCPCT)","volume":"78 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126253752","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Micro-grid (MG) concept begins with a combination of loads and micro sources which is operating as a single controllable system which provides power and heat to the local load. These concepts provide a new paradigm for deriving the operation of Distributed generation (DG). A fluctuation in load bus voltage is mainly due to the variation in load. To mitigate the voltage variations at the load buses a STATCOM is employed. In case of non-linear loads, STATCOM not only improves the voltage profile of the load bus but also reduces the total harmonic distortion in the line current. To maintain the load bus voltage at a reference value the STATCOM compensates reactive power. In this paper, the system is dynamically modeled and results are shown. The simulation works are done in MATLAB/SIMULINK.","PeriodicalId":208028,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Circuit ,Power and Computing Technologies (ICCPCT)","volume":"49 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126497907","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Despite the various environmental and economic benefits of Electric Vehicles, its charging will introduce enormous technical challenges on the existing network operation as the units consumed by a vehicle in a day is very high. It is almost four times that of units consumed by a typical residential load. Therefore with the penetration of Electric Vehicle into the market, power generated in India by non-renewable energy resources cannot meet the ever rising power demand of the country. The objective of this project is to implement a module which gives effective control logic for the integration of renewable energy resource and the electric vehicle with the utility. This involves a battery charging system which during off peak hours charges the battery and in peak hours supplies power to residential load. This paper also involves the study of installation of residential photovoltaic panels to the existing grid system along with Electric Vehicles. The system is made more lucrative with effective load curtailment in different day-to-day scenarios.","PeriodicalId":208028,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Circuit ,Power and Computing Technologies (ICCPCT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122281418","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Bite force is the resultant of all the forces acting on individual teeth due to various components of the masticatory system. Knowledge of individual bite force helps dentist to understand different type of dentition, the mechanics of mastication for evaluation of the therapeutic effects of prosthetic devices and to provide reference data for studies on the biomechanics of prosthetic devices. Currently, there are direct and indirect methods to determine bite force. Direct method includes use of suitable transducers and indirect method includes use of functional relationship between bite force and physiological variables. The bite force is a function of many factors and hence difficult to compute. Although direct methods are accurate and convenient to determine individual bite force which requires sophisticated instrumentation and intervention whereas indirect methods are not accurate and require investigation of many physiological parameters. However, it is difficult to establish exact mathematical model to estimate individual bite force. This paper presents a Finite Element Analysis (FEA) based indirect method to estimate bite force. Commercial FEA software's like HyperMesh and RADIOSS are widely used in engineering and the biomedical community for diverse applications. FE model is built using 3D CAD model of jaw created using CT scan images to estimate theoretical maximum bite force as well as individual tooth load.","PeriodicalId":208028,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Circuit ,Power and Computing Technologies (ICCPCT)","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131263459","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It allows the customers to enter their opinions about the product and purchase, which help new customers to analyze the product and to take appropriate decisions. But reading the entire comment and reach into a conclusion is difficult, so accurate evaluation of these comments is needed. The computers are becoming smarter day by day so the customers are now able to express their emotions along with their comments. Customer satisfaction is reflected mainly as feedback in the form of comments where emoticons are the main representative of emotions. So whenever emoticons are used, their associated sentiment dominates the sentiment conveyed by text comments. Also the comments may contain modifier words to give more strength to their opinions. This paper propose a modified algorithm to calculate a more accurate rating that considers the text polarity, meaning, strength, modifiers and sentiment of each sentence.","PeriodicalId":208028,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Circuit ,Power and Computing Technologies (ICCPCT)","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115363746","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
