The cost function for the Model Predictive Controller is formulated with the objective of current tracking by inverter to transfer maximum power from the PV panel. A dc-dc converter stage is preceding the inverter to perform P&O power tracking for the PV panel. The inverter control takes care of the dc link voltage so as to generate the reference for its inner current loop. The entire system is designed for a power rating of 15kW and simulated in MATLAB/Simulink platform under various irradiance conditions. The predicted current is in good agreement with the reference current generated under all conditions. The THD of the injected current is found to be well within the maximum limits. The power balance between the panel and the inverter output is verified for various conditions.","PeriodicalId":208028,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Circuit ,Power and Computing Technologies (ICCPCT)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122982749","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This topology is applied for the inverter to increase output voltage of PV module. The conventional inverters has more size and low efficiency hence to overcome this drawback the flyback inverters are connected in parallel which improve efficiency and switching devices get reduced. Flyback inverter topology also provides the isolation between PV source and load. It also boosts up the voltage supplied by PV source. The DC power output of solar panel is converted into AC form by this topology with higher efficiency and low losses. Low power from PV system is increased by employing this technique in inverter system which mainly reduces the size of the converter. Therefore, this technique is more efficient than the conventional technique which is analyzed by MATLAB Simulink.","PeriodicalId":208028,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Circuit ,Power and Computing Technologies (ICCPCT)","volume":"83 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128419496","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

So there is a great need to build automated quality management systems. Benefits of automating the quality management include reduced production cost and overall improvement in quality. Nowadays great deal of research is going on in the area of machine vision based grading of food products. Grading and sorting of cashew kernels are done manually in most of the countries which is time consuming and expensive. In this paper a real time classification system to automatically grade cashew kernels based on their color, texture, size and shape feature are presented. Multisresolutional wavelet and Contourlet transform are used for extracting texture features. The images of the cashew kernel are acquired using a Charge Coupled Device (CCD) camera, and then the images are preprocessed using an efficient background subtraction technique. Then various external features are extracted using machine learning techniques. For the experimental study, cashew kernels of five different varieties are collected. SVM and back propagation neural network classifiers are used and their performance in terms of accuracy is observed.","PeriodicalId":208028,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Circuit ,Power and Computing Technologies (ICCPCT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129170802","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In minimal invasive robotic surgery, the operation is performed by a surgical robot controlled by a human (surgeon) near to the surgical robot through a control system. In the surgical operation room, surgeon and assistant must create an environment for which the robot will get optimal freedom of motion. Inappropriate suturing speed may tear off muscles, leading to internal bleeding and organ damages, which extends the operation time. This paper introduces a method to identify the strength of muscles during suturing task itself and based on muscle strength, a fuzzy-based control system controls the torque applied by the end effector, for better suturing without any muscle damages. Analysis of diagnostic sonographic images is used for finding strength variations of muscles. Sonographic imaging probe is attached to one of the robotic arms which is inserted into the surgical area of the human body through the specified port for getting a clear vision of the entire operating region. Suturing needle selection plays an important role in MIRS. Improper selection of needle leads to multiple regrasps to complete the operation. Muscle strength identification and puncturing force calculation are done using MATLAB.","PeriodicalId":208028,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Circuit ,Power and Computing Technologies (ICCPCT)","volume":"459 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116025681","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Traditional inverter technology is modified into new Z-Source inverter. The Z-Source network provides a simple single-stage power conversion concept. It is competitive alternative to conventional photovoltaic power conditioner systems due to its voltage-buck or boost capability and additional state known as shoot through state. During this state it is possible to switch on both switches of same phase leg. Also due to a lower number of switching devices power loss is reduced. MPPT technique is applied to reduce shading problem of solar light, which will result in consistent power generation and good system efficiency. Z-source network is applied for inverter application to improve the boosted dc bus voltage capability. The whole system is designed and simulated using MATLAB/Simulink.","PeriodicalId":208028,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Circuit ,Power and Computing Technologies (ICCPCT)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116908782","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is clean, pollution free and inexhaustible. Because of its easy availability it can be widely used generation purpose. However the only hurdle is the efficiency. In this paper implemented MPPT method is Incremental Conductance Method (Inc Cond) with SEPIC converter. In INC method the MPP tracking is accurate and rapid because there is no steady state oscillation and also its dynamic performance is satisfactory. By this method stable output power is obtained in varying solar irradiance level. The SEPIC converter is used in this system which is a DC-DC converter. Simulation studies and validation of the proposed system is shown through MATLAB and Simulink.
