With Photos by Geoff Hansen (1997) by Sarah Strohmeyer. In the book, the Barbie doll is used as a medium to discuss sexual issues. Away from her typical pink, glossy and superficial world, in Strohmeyer’s collection, Barbie is depicted while facing real problems; thus, she gets involved with dramatic historical events and violent life experiences, at a variety of social roles. Inasmuch as the famous toy is easily identifiable by a children’s, adolescent, and adult audience, Barbie Unbound addresses a crossover readership, and stimulates an intergenerational debate about sexuality. Yet, since adult writers and readers usually repress children’s relationship with sexuality, sex in Barbie Unbound is depicted in antithetical fashion. On the one hand, Strohmeyer offers detailed theoretical instructions to her young readers, and discusses topics of current interest. While there are some things to say about Trump and about Infinite Jest’s seeming prediction of his presidency, in the figure of entertainer-turned-politician Johnny Gentle, this essay focuses instead on Wallace’s concrete (if fleeting) prediction of President Limbaugh, as well as the larger role Limbaugh’s strident, cruel, demagogic voice played in the way Wallace (a heavy listener to all sorts of radio) imagined political, media, and even fiction-writing possibilities. The essay examines how Limbaugh as major conservative media figure lies not just in the background of Infinite Jest but is threaded through Wallace’s analysis of U.S. politics and potential fascism, from the early 1990s in which Infinite Jest was largely composed through to one of Wallace’s final major essays, the 2005 account of conservative talk radio titled “Host” are analysed. In close-readings of Infinite Jest, sonic elements of Infinite Jest and certain subliminal anti-Limbaugh and anti-Gentle agendas in the radio host the novel does describe at length, Joelle van Dyne, a.k.a. The Smart Health care system plays a most predominant role in the current research for the integration of IoT devices with Edge Computing. Blockchain technology is used to ensure immutability of the recorded transaction. It is used to create a decentralized edge computing marketplace, without a single control point. Ethereum Framework is a distributed public Blockchain network uses consensus algorithms such as Proof of Work (PoW) and Proof of State (PoS) to reach consensus about the current state, thus ensuring immutability of data. It is used for developing open-source decentralized applications for public network communities. Certain data in healthcare information system is sensitive and it might not be revealed even to the co-peers. Integration of private Blockchain is essential for limiting the accessibility of records in certain sensitive domains like healthcare. Hyperledger Sawtooth is an enterprise, private and open source Blockchain platform to create distributed networks for enterprises. It uses Proof of Elapsed Time (PoET) as internal consensus mechanism. Both Ethereum and Sawtooth are identified and implemented with a decentralized application. Though the private and public blockchain frameworks have specific potential benefits, their working mechanisms differ from each other depending on various parameters. The system aimed at evaluating the working efficiency of private and public Blockchain networks upon implementing the predictive analysis of hypotension using Mean Arterial Pressure in Edge computing system. Intelligent monitoring and management of devices are achieved via sharing of data through networked embedded devices. The paper aims at designing a response-based machine monitoring system, by observing the vital parameters of the machine and by leveraging the Thing Speak platform. The machine parameters like the vibration and oil level and the environmental observances like the humidity and temperature are measured to enable the cooling/heating of devices or for long-term statistics. The statistics are stored on the cloud to get accessed by the needy applications and supplementary procedures. The uploaded data is shown on the webpage as graphs for easy interpretation. In addition to all this, the paper aims to provide a solution to the frequent occurrence of thread breaks in spinning machines by using image processing done using a camera and a simple mechanism to actuate the camera from one position to another position.
