The level process is widely used in many process industries for storing the liquids for mixing purpose in sugar mills, as settling tank and for water treatment plants. Most of the chemical plants are multivariable processes which exhibit nonlinear behaviour due to the existence of interactions between the input and output variables. The level control of the cylindrical tank is difficult because of its nonlinearity. Linear PID (Proportional Integral Derivative) controllers are generally used in many industrial control systemsbecause of its simple structure and robustness, but whenit comes to the control of nonlinear and multivariable processes, the controller parameters have to be continuously adjusted in order to deal with the nonlinearities, uncertainties and interaction betweenthevariables.The major objective of this work is to control the level of a nonlinear tank process. This is achieved by modelling a nonlinear controller which can adapt to the nonlinear performanceof the process. To achieve this goal, the mathematical modelling of a tank process is obtained. Dynamic Matrix Control (DMC) Controller is designed using the mathematical model to control the tank system. The performance of the controller can be analyzedthrough extensive simulation studies.","PeriodicalId":20712,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the First International Conference on Combinatorial and Optimization, ICCAP 2021, December 7-8 2021, Chennai, India","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"78455070","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The health, humanitarian and socio-Economic policies adopted by countries will determine the speed and strength of the recovery. The coordinated global effort is required to support countries that currently do not have enough finance social policy. Reports indicate that wearing face mask reduces the risk of transmission. This encourages exploring face mask detection technology to monitor people wearing masks in public places. Most recent and advanced face mask detection approaches are designed using deep learning. In this research work, proposed a model to find out people who are not wearing face mask in the public areas that are monitored with cameras. A deep learning-based model called Faster R-CNN is trained on the face-mask-detection and maskedFace-net datasets that consists of people with masks, without masks and improper masks are collected from different sources. The goal of this work is to identify whether the person in a given image is wearing face mask or not wearing face mask. If the person is wearing face mask, this work will also verify the improper face mask. This research work anticipate that the proposed model will achieve high accuracy on differentiating people with mask and without mask and that it will be useful to reduce the spread of this communicative disease.","PeriodicalId":20712,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the First International Conference on Combinatorial and Optimization, ICCAP 2021, December 7-8 2021, Chennai, India","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84723141","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A common trend of mild stiffness reduction during the initial stages of fatigue tests followed by a higher stiffness reduction rate during the intermediate stage (103-105 cycles) was observed. Above 105 cycles the stiffness reduction was found to be less severe. The fatigue performance of the spring elements having UDR configuration was always found to be poor compared to the ones having UDR/WRM laminated type-1 configurations. The spring elements having CTBN modified matrices were found to give superior fatigue performance than the unmodified matrix spring elements. The fatigue studies reveal that the upper limit of the deflection should be only 25 mm. At 30 mm deflection levels the stiffness reduction of both the spring elements were observed to be very severe. The spring element having 15% CTBN modified matrix and laminate type-1 configuration gave the best results with respect to the fatigue characteristics. The stiffness reduction at the end of 1 million cycles was found to be 22 %..","PeriodicalId":20712,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the First International Conference on Combinatorial and Optimization, ICCAP 2021, December 7-8 2021, Chennai, India","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85284000","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Hence, the textile waste from garment industry is used in this project which was sorted out by color. These color sorting requires no re-dying process, saves energy and avoid pollutants. Garment cutting waste collected from industry was grinded into fibers and developed into yarn. This recycled yarn of 20’s count, virgin yarn of cotton, viscose and polyester of same color and count is used for comparison. As the recycled yarn has less strength for producing fabric, the yarn was doubled with virgin yarns. To compare the properties of doubled yarn with virgin yarn, the virgin cotton yarn of 20s count was also doubled with virgin viscose and polyester yarn. Then the woven fabrics were produced with twill weave structure from both the virgin and recycled doubled yarn. Fabric properties of all the samples were analyzed before constructing the garment. Due to the heaviness of the yarn as it is doubled, these fabrics are suitable for the construction of denim garments and hence the denim skirts were constructed from the woven fabrics. Combination of recycled cotton shows almost equal results as like the combination of virgin cotton & polyester.","PeriodicalId":20712,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the First International Conference on Combinatorial and Optimization, ICCAP 2021, December 7-8 2021, Chennai, India","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"88065643","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
