Today, the need for reliable, automated satellite image classification and browsing systems is more than ever before. Everyday there is a massive amount of remotely sensed data being collected and sent by terrestrial satellites for analysis. The use of automated tools for this analysis has become imperative due to the large volumes required to be processed on a daily basis. Our goal is to develop a prototype of Content based Image Retrieval Systems for Satellite Images, wherein the user enters query in form of a sample image and the relevant similar images based on image content are displayed as an output. The Work presents a novel approach of satellite image search and retrieval system based on colour and texture. Texture information is obtained using co-occurrence matrix of the gray scaled images. The properties like correlation and homogeneity are good parameters to measure the textural property; these are evaluated at proper offset and angle. Colour is inevitable feature that dominates the human perception most. The Hue Saturation and Value (HSV) colour space is quite similar to the way in which humans perceive colour. Making this as the foundation, the work presented here uses the combination of the HSV colour and texture feature. It can lead to prohibitive test power in the process of test application. During the process of scan shifting, the states of the flip-flops are changing continually, which causes excessive switching activities. Test vector reordering for reducing scan in scan out power is one of the general goal of low power testing. In this paper Dijakstra algorithm is proposed to reorder the test vectors in an optimal manner to minimize switching activity during testing. Here, by passing the test vectors through output response a weighted transition matrix(WTM) is calculated, and then Dijkstra algorithm is applied which helps to reduce switching activities. In general there are two excluding branches of System on Chip evolution, where multiple Processors are on chip or multiple co-processors on the chip to improve the performance. The paper present methodology for interfacing multiple Floating Point Units with LEON3 processor IP core for low power or high performance systems. It compares performance of basic LEON3 based SoC without FPU and with multiple FPU where multiple floating point operations can be computed in parallel. The enhanced SoC is synthesized and implemented on Xilinx FPGA. Although, lot of compression techniques are available today, any upcoming technique which is faster, memory efficient and simple surely has the greatest probability to hit the user requirements. In this paper, we have developed wavelet-based image compression algorithm using well-known Distributed Arithmetic (DA) technique. Here, to increase the compression rate, the reduction of wavelet coefficients is carried out in each level of computation with the help of RW block proposed in the paper. After computing the DWT coefficients, we apply DPCM (Differential pulse-code modulation) which is a transformation technique for increasing the compressibility of an image. Finally, the transformed coefficients are given to Huffman-encoder that is designed by merging the lowest probable symbols in such a way that, the images will get compressed. For decompression, the Huffman decoding procedure is applied in the compressed image. Furthermore, the inverse DPCM and inverse DWT is applied on the decoded data to obtain the decompressed image. A cross layer scheme that takes into account MAC and network layer is considered to improve the performance of network as both these layer have great emphasis on energy efficiency of ad hoc network. E2CLCC is divided into cluster formation and maintenance, routing in cluster, cross layering, cache storage and perfecting technique. To conserve energy we take into consideration of remaining energy of the node for the selection of cluster head. The paper focuses on design of low power Folding and Interpolating ADC using novel cascaded folding amplifier. The architecture improvements and optimization of various sub blocks are performed in the paper. The pre processing block-folding amplifier is designed to reduce power consumption and settling time. In ADC, comparators consume the major part of the total power. The converter architecture is designed with reduced number of comparators and minimum hardware. For further reduction of latency and number of comparators, folding amplifier is used in the design of coarse and fine converter both. To reduce the power consumption, encoder based on XOR-OR logic is used. But cloud service providers are using different standards and frameworks which customer has to follow. There may be a case where customer wants to migrate data and application to another cloud service provider. In that case, code of application and structure of database must be modified according to the standard provided by new service provider which is very costly. This issue is regarded as cloud vendor lock-in. Work has already been done for providing techniques which can facilitate migration of data. But that technique is not providing support for transformation of query from one cloud to other. By taking Google App engine as one cloud service provider, algorithm can be developed to transform query supported by relational databases, SQL, to query supported by Google app engine datastore, Google Query Language (GQL). In the proposed scheme, the full-bridge isolated topology is used for the DC-DC conversion. The full bridge scheme is widely used for the high power application. High frequency transformer is used for isolation purpose. This paper deals with the effect of leakage inductance of high frequency transformer in the charging mode as well as discharge mode of operation. Phase shifted topology is used as control scheme. Effect of leakage inductance on output voltage, output current is shown in simulation. Simulation results are obtained using PSIM Software with a 7.75-kW load. Test result is given for effectiveness of the study. According to United States Federal Communications Commission (FCC), a UWB technology is a form of wireless communication in which signals occupy a wide bandwidth, greater than the lesser of 500MHz or 20% of the center frequency of the signal is consider as an ultra wide band signal. A high speed low/medium resolution Analog-to-Digital converter (ADC) is required for processing the UWB signal. Considering latency and conversion speed, the flash ADC is often the most preferred selection in high-speed communication applications. Therefore, a 5-bit Flash ADC with 500Msamples/s sampling rates has been analyzed and designed. This 5-bit Flash ADC requires 31 comparators, resistor ladder of 32 resistors and thermometer-to-binary code converter (TC-to-BC). This ADC consumes 13.64mw from 1.8V supply voltage at 500MS/s with total conversion time of 1.135ns. Fault is an unexpected change or malfunction in the system. Fault occurring at a point in the plant may propagate further in the system. It is necessary to arrest fault propagation for economy and safety of plant. For this purpose quick detection of an unexpected deviation of process variable is necessary. This function is achieved with the help of Fault detection and diagnosis unit. Diagnostic unit also assists operators in retaining normal and safe state of the system. In this paper, I have mentioned the characteristic requirements of Fault detection and diagnosis unit and the classification of diagnostic methods. With the help of Fault detection and diagnosis, it is possible to realize continuous monitoring of plant which enables diagnosis of incipient faults and thus prevents unexpected operational upsets.
