These techniques exploit the correlation of MIMO channel in the time domain when the channel varies very slowly or varies fast with prominent Doppler shift, and obtain channel estimation algorithms by superimposing designed filters to improve those classical estimations' performance. In order to analyze and simulate the performance of these algorithms, investigation on the formulation of those classical estimation errors is also given. This paper presents a bandwidth enhancement technique using coplanar waveguide. A new design of coplanar waveguide feed line for dual frequency triangular microstrip antenna to increasing the bandwidth is proposed and experimentally studied. The two resonant frequencies can be generated by controlling the distance between the two slits. Return loss of -25.31 dB for the first resonant frequency 3.01 GHz and return loss of -23.51 dB for the second resonant frequency 3.96 GHz can be achieved at the slit height 12 mm when the distance between the two slits at 5 mm. Packet losses during transmission are a serious problem for these multimedia applications since they result in degradation of the quality of service (QoS). Forward error correction (FEC) is a promising technique to recover the lost packets and improve the QoS of streaming media. However, FEC may degrade the QoS of all streaming due to the increased congestion caused by FEC overhead when streaming sessions increase. In this paper, a novel FEC method that avoids the adverse effect of FEC overhead during media streaming is proposed. Also, we define the maximum percentage of network load where FEC can improve the packet loss ratio to clarify the effective ranges where each FEC and automatic repeat request (ARQ) scheme works well. Inter-cell interference is the main source of performance degradation for OFDM, especially the data rate of cell edge UEs is severely limited. Many inter-cell interference mitigation schemes are proposed to improve the EUTRA performance, especially the active coordination in the frequency domain resource allocation between neighboring cells. But they can't achieve robust performance for system throughput and cell edge bit rate when the traffic load varies much. In this paper a hybrid inter-cell interference mitigation scheme (HICIM) is proposed, which is a trade-off between system throughput and cell-edge UE performance. From the simulation results when proportional fairness (PF) scheduling is adopted in single input and single output (SISO) environment, the proposed HICIM scheme achieves robust performance of both system throughput and cell-edge UE performance for both high system load and low system load","PeriodicalId":205758,"journal":{"name":"2006 Asia-Pacific Conference on Communications","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-12-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116681010","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to combat this problem, centralized control is required to analyze and collect traffic generated in several source routers. This paper presents defense/detection scenario to protect against DDoS attack in centralized control network. A destination address monitoring scheme is also proposed to detect DDoS attacks in real-time. It measures the number of packets with same destination IP address by using modified Bloom filter. Because the modified Bloom filter uses extra table that manages relation among each address fields of destination IP address, it can reduce wrong detection rate.
