It is associated with increased anxiety, avoidance, somatic symptoms, and increased parent distress. The pediatric acute pain experience involves the interaction of physiologic, psychological, behavioural, developmental, and situational factors. Methodology : A quantitative approach with pre experimental one group pretest posttest design was adopted for the study. The samples from the selected hospitals were selected using convenient sampling technique. The sample consisted of 100 staff nurses. The tools used for data collection was structured knowledge questionnaire and structured attitude scale. Results : The study result reveal that, the post-test mean knowledge scores was found higher [mean=23.48, SD of 4.81] when compared with pre-test mean knowledge score value which was 15.75 with SD of 5.21. The statistical paired ‘t’ implies that the difference in the pretest and post -test value was found statistically significant at 5% level ( P <0.05) with a paired ‘t’ value of 17.82. With respect to attitude of participants the post-test mean attitude scores was found higher [mean=50.08, SD of 8.32] when compared with pre-test mean attitude score value which was 38.22 with SD of 10.98. The statistical paired ‘t’ implies that the difference in the pretest and post -test value was found statistically significant at 5% level ( P <0.05) with a paired ‘t’ value of 13.11. There is partial association between pre-test knowledge scores and no association between attitude scores and socio demographic variables. Conclusion: Study results showed significant improvement in the level of knowledge and attitude regarding pediatric pain management. Thus, it can be concluded that learning package was effective to increase and update their knowledge and attitude on pediatric pain management.","PeriodicalId":205602,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Research in Paediatric Nursing","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121835280","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Disease may be a rare, progressive disease caused by blocked arteries within the basal gan glia at the bottom of the brain and form of cerebrovascular disease that begins with an obliterative vasculopathy and progresses to a compensatory proliferative vasculopathy. The term Moyamoya (MM) was coined by Suzuki and Takaku in 1969 to describe the appearance of small collaterals in the thalamus and traversing the basal ganglia due to progressive stenosis. In a young patient, Moyamoya disease is an arterial disorder that causes a stroke. This is a chronic condition characterized by bilateral stenosis and occlusion of the arteries surrounding the Willis circle, as well as prominent arterial collateral circulation. It was discovered in Japan for the first time. Classic angiographic findings of stenosis or occlusion of the circle of Willi's vessels are used to diagnose it. I describe a 9-year-old male child who was diagnosed with weakness at the age of 6-months. He had remitting slurred speech and right-sided facial droop for three weeks prior to this admission, and he had head trauma after falling from a tree. An electroencephalogram and a computed tomography (CT) of the head were used to assess him. After four days in the hospital, the child improved and he was discharged. The process of growth starts from the time of conception and continues until the child grows into a fully mature adult. A cross-sectional study was conducted in Karachi to know the Anthropometrics indices of middle socio-economic class school children in Karachi compared with NCHS (National Centre for Health Statistics) standards-a pilot study. The study found that height and weight of these children is below the NCHS centile for height and weight. The findings related to The comparison of urban and rural preschool children physical growth or anthropometrics measurement are as follows, the Mean, SD, Percentile and Mean Percentage of urban preschool children are 4.67, 0.47, 80% and 93.40% respectively. The Mean Percentage value of urban is 93.40 where as for rural it is 84.40. The Mean, SD, Percentile and Mean Percentage of rural preschool children were 4.22, 0.73, 60% and 84.40% respectively. Thus it indicates that the mean percentage was higher in the urban children. The Mean and SD of urban and rural preschool children’s motor development of urban were 8, and 1.59 respectively. In rural the mean and standard deviation was 12.28 and 1.53 respectively. The Mean and SD of urban and rural preschool children’s cognitive development of urban were 13.93, and 1respectively. In rural, the Mean and SD was 8.92, and 1.11 respectively. The paired t-test was carried out to compare the selected aspects of growth and development of urban and rural preschool children and the value obtained for growth was 2.02 and was found significant at 0.05 levels.
