The 112 number is valid throughout the EU, it is used only to notify in emergency situations of threat to health, life, or property. As social practice shows, disruptions in its functioning, including unjustified reports, significantly increase the costs of its operation, and in extreme cases may lead to failure to provide assistance to those in need. The ongoing pandemic has left a significant mark on many aspects of life, including the operation of rescue systems responsible for the safety of citizens in the country. The co-author of the work during the service of the 112 emergency number noticed some problems and disadvantages related to the rescue operation in crisis management. This was the reason for presenting this issue in the form of a publication. Selective problems of rescue in crisis management related to the ongoing pandemic were indicated. There are problems with the lack of strength and resources of the State Medical Rescue, the emergency notification process itself also requires improvement, as evidenced by the responses of the respondents - 112 operators. Not all identified defects are presented in the publication. The list of problems indicated by the respondents is longer, not always related to the pandemic. Only appropriate changes in the management of the rescue system are able to improve the quality and efficiency of the system. To avoid this, it is necessary to define a method for assessing the effectiveness of the implemented risk reduction measures. This article presents the adaptation of a previously developed method of this type to the nature of the operation of the railway rescue  teams. It uses a hierarchical classification system of safety measures that is used as a basis on which their effectiveness is determined. The way how the method should be implemented is presented on the example of 28 selected tools used by rescue teams operating within the Polish railway infrastructure manager. All logistical processes related to the flow of resources, physical, informational, and financial, occurring between the different elements of the company's structure make up its logistical system. One of the many decisions made during the planning of a construction project is the choice of how to control the logistics system of supply. It is impossible to indicate a universal system that will optimally meet the needs of many construction projects due to the individual nature of each project. Properly selected type of logistic service and structure of logistic system allow one to reduce risk in supply chain management. This paper proposes a multi-criteria analysis to evaluate the models of the logistic system of supply in the execution of a  construction project. The Analytic Hierarchy Process AHP was used for the comparative evaluation, allowing multi-criteria pairwise comparisons of the various systems. Such structures can be used to support the intermodal rail-road transport of wooden and metal logs. The basic structure and one assembled from two or more platforms with various longitudinal dimensions ensures high mobility resulting from the modular structure and the possibility of selecting transport configurations as well as the use of various forms of loading - unloading, including: typical crane operations, the use of forklifts or hook winches. The place, time and type of transported cargo, etc., have an impact on the complexity of the transport system structure, which is why it is important to explore the possibilities and create transport optimization models throughout the entire cargo supply chain and analyze issues related to their organization, which affects the safety and reliability of this type of systems. The aim of the article is to present and analyze the concept of the agro cargo supply chain model using inland navigation, in the relations between Poland and the Federal Republic of Germany on the example of the Capital Group OT Logistics S.A. (OTL SA Capital Group). Taking into account the complexity and structure of transport tasks, it is important to look for optimal solutions in the field of transport. Each supply chain model includes only certain selected factors that have a limited impact on the volatility of the transport. It is not possible to build a model that would fully recreate the behavior of the object, with all possible external influences. The article considers the optimization model of inland wheat transport to final consumers, which predicts a constant demand for cereal loads in certain time segments. Wojtyniak","doi":"10.24136/tren.2022.004","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.24136/tren.2022.004","url":null,"abstract":"This literature review paper discusses the subject of lubricating properties of liquid hydrocarbon-based fuels and laboratory bench tests applied in lubricity evaluation. The analysis was made in order to highlight the importance of fuel lubricity evaluation, especially application of relatively rapid laboratory tests. Inadequate lubricity may lead to an excessive wear of fuel injection system components and in some cases ? even to catastrophic failure what, in turn, manifests itself in higher replacement costs, shortened service life, inefficient engine performance and increased tailpipe emissions. Nowadays, when more and more rigorous emissions standards for transportation fuels are continuously established, the satisfactory fuel lubricity is of great importance. Lubricity determines the antiwear behaviour of the lubricant over the regime of boundary lubrication when the moving surfaces are separated only by a very thin fluid film adhering to them. The most important role in forming such films is played by polar compounds and aromatic hydrocarbons that are naturally present in crude oil derived fuels. However, the refinery processes applied in fuel production remove them, thus reducing the lubricity. Fuel lubricity problems were first defined in the mid-1960s and resulted from more severe refining and treatment processes applied in the production of aviation kerosene. In those days, injection equipment failures in aircraft turbine engines were reported. Then, in the late 1980s, similar problems were revealed after the implementation by US and NATO forces of ?The Single Fuel Forward? policy which mandated that all military vehicles must be operable with kerosene-based fuel. Lubricity problems regarding diesel fuel emerged in the late 1990s when some countries set limits on the sulphur and aromatic hydrocarbon content in this fuel. The paraffinic diesel fuel produced by the Fischer-Tropsch synthesis or hydrotreatment process that is more commonly applied nowadays also possesses very low lubricating properties. Generally, to provide good fuel lubricity, various additives are applied and bench tests are mostly employed to estimate their effectiveness. Since 1960 many test rigs have been developed. Several inter-laboratory test programs were carried out to select the best bench tests that would show good correlation with field experience. Dobaj","doi":"10.24136/tren.2022.003","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.24136/tren.2022.003","url":null,"abstract":"The article presents the concept of using an artificial neural network to approximate the parameters describing the vehicle braking process, from the point of view of the application of this method in the diagnostics of the braking system. The artificial neural network of non-linear autoregression was used to approximate the dependence of the braking deceleration and the pressure in the braking system. The effectiveness of the neural network was checked depending on the number of neurons in its hidden layer and on the applied learning algorithm. The operation of the neural network was verified based on the actual braking processes of the Skoda Octavia, carried out with different dynamics, with different car weights and different tire inflation pressures. After verifying the neural network, it was used to approximate the braking deceleration values for the pressure values exceeding those present in the input data set. This action allows the analysis of the possibility of the vehicle obtaining a braking deceleration, which qualifies its braking system as efficient. Two concepts of using a neural network to solve this problem were analyzed. New trends in the use of unmanned aerial vehicle technology have been correlated. The attention was paid to the most modern solutions of the battlefield. In each case of the implementation of drones in selected areas, an analysis of the risk for aviation was made. Bearing in mind the priority of using drones in a responsible and legal manner, taking into account the absolute safety of airspace zones, the hypothetical risk of the development of a given UAV branch should be assessed each time. In the paper the theoretical methods were used: analogy, system analysis, statistical, analytical and comparative method. Moreover, diagnostic survey carried out by aviation institutions was used. Analysis of the potential of unmanned aerial vehicles with an indication of development directions that are safe for aviation, bringing clear benefits from implementation in relation to standard, commonly used solutions. The results of the analysis performed, combined with the synthesis of selected facts and data from statistics, are to prove the necessity to apply remedial measures in the process of dynamic development of UAVs. The multidirectional opportunities created by the dynamics of UAV development is undeniably a challenge for companies producing specific unmanned utility devices. Moreover structure of an exemplary telegram sent from the eurobalise to the traction vehicle through the air gap i.e. interface A1 was shown. Selected requirements for timing and distance parameters that eurobalises have to meet during designing the trackside part of the ERTMS / ETCS system were also  presented. In addition, the methodology adopted during tests was characterized and the list of functional tests carried out at the selected test site was specified. Hybrid cars are currently the widest group of cars equipped with alternative to classic drive systems. They are also the most numerous group among electric vehicles. The historical meanders of HEV development were described, as well as the current level of development of this market and the real prospects for the popularization of HEV cars. The level of world production of this category of motor vehicles in the twenty-year period 2001-2020 was also characterized. The article attempts to estimate the real size of the world's HEV fleet. The level of sales of this category of vehicles by individual countries and their changing percentage share in the passenger car market were also presented. Sales of electric hybrids even in the crisis year 2020 increased from 3.2 million to approx. 4 million vehicles, despite a decrease in sales of new passenger cars from 64 to 54 million units.
