The development of autonomous cars is a global challenge for the automotive industry. The creation of a fully autonomous vehicle capable of transporting passengers and goods without the participation of a driver has become a priority goal of automotive concerns. The huge costs incurred by automotive concerns for the development of autonomous vehicles prove the progressing automotive revolution, which will have a significant impact on the shape of future transport systems, transport based on autonomous transport. Very often in the literature there are overly optimistic forecasts for the development of autonomous vehicles, as well as overestimating the benefits they are to bring, without pointing to the costs and problems of their implementation and functioning in the real transport system. The publication presents forecasts for the development of autonomous vehicles as well as the related risks and advantages of their implementation. The factors that have a significant impact on the development of these vehicles are also outlined.","PeriodicalId":204178,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Civil Engineering and Transport","volume":"118 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132684388","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The professional experience of the authors and their expert knowledge indicate that always the increase of safety level as well as ecological solutions are realized at the expense of economic efficiency. Therefore, arguing for the result of such analysis, the features of water bodies, port infrastructure and elements which should influence the selection of propulsion systems, features of various types of power and fuels with their energy value guaranteeing the swimming range were described. Types of propulsion systems were characterized and a model of selection of propulsion system to the type of sailing was presented. The analysis presented in the article is necessary for a reliable assessment of the accuracy of the selection of the propulsion system for the actual conditions of operation of sea and inland waterway vessels, i.e. for the type of the vessel and its suitability to perform operational tasks on specific waterways.","PeriodicalId":204178,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Civil Engineering and Transport","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133226970","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The pressure loss is an internal disadvantage of combustion chamber depends on many parameters, especially the chamber design and working gas flowrate. There is a problem to calculate the parameters of working medium in characteristic points of gas turbine thermodynamic cycle because the total pressure before and after combustion chamber is not known. There is a lack of information from manufacturer about it and in publications as well (mainly no experimental data, only theoretical considerations). It will be important information because the pressure drop has an meaningful influence on gas turbine performance. The paper presents an estimation of decreasing the performance of gas turbine from discussed reason. Author of that manuscript recognized the necessity of showing the importance of that parameter and turning the attention to not fully recognized problem.","PeriodicalId":204178,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Civil Engineering and Transport","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117198488","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This model is based on and integral transform with Haar-Gauss wavelet and matching algorithm of bandwidth, such model is used to detection of the edges in images with high-level noises, both in the x plane and the frequency domains. There is shown that applying the integral Haar-Gaussian transformation the detection of single and double edges is possible. Demonstrated in the paper results confirm that wavelet transform supported by the matching wavelet algorithm of wavelength bandwidth make an important exploration tool of the images with the edges possessing a large depth of sharpness.","PeriodicalId":204178,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Civil Engineering and Transport","volume":"54 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124625632","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The main purpose of building the model was to design an appropriate facility control system and analyze its behavior in various situations. The assumption was made to build a model, control system and all accompanying algorithms in an open programming environment, which will allow their subsequent implementation in a real facility, without the need to use expensive software. The quadrocopter is controlled by the operator by means of hand movements that are read by the camera and properly interpreted using advanced image processing methods. The entire system is visualized and embedded in a three-dimensional simulation environment. The model study was conducted using a DC motor as an input data source. The operation of the model was checked with a controller when a disturbance was introduced into the model. The four-rotor model with a selected regulator was tested by analyzing the angular velocity and position of the object in a rectangular coordinate system. At the end of the article, the results of the simulations made are presented and the resulting conclusions are presented.","PeriodicalId":204178,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Civil Engineering and Transport","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133281754","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
